"I'd like to invite you to our baby shower, baby," Killian said while kissing my forehead.
We are in my bed, cooped around for the rest of the day.
I looked at him with furrowed brows and tried to confirm what he said.
"Are you sure? I mean, that is your baby shower with Isabelle. Do you know how I will feel?" I asked him.
"Yes. It's a mandatory party. Father told me that the whole pack must be there. I don't have any choice," he added before touching my face.
The tingles that traveled from our skin temporarily made me forget about the baby shower and my protest. My wolf and I love the tingles we share because it connects us to Killian.
"Can I not go?" I asked him.
"No, you can't, baby. I'm sorry," he said, starting to kiss me again.
Ugh, I don't like it when he does this. He knew I couldn't refuse his request without considering how I would feel.
"Alright. I'll be there. When is it happening?" I asked him.
"The night after tomorrow. So I expect you to come, and I could tour you around my office and house. How does it sound?"
"What if Isabelle caught us?"
"No, she will not," he told me, smiling. "She'll be busy entertaining everyone, especially her parents will come too," he added.
I sighed and smiled at him forcefully.
"Alright," I replied. "I go."
I feel like I am his mistress rather than his mate, and I wouldn't say I like it. Even my wolf doesn't like the idea, but if this meant he would be mine, I would have to endure a little bit more. So be it.
Killian lifted my chin and kissed me.
"You'll be alright, baby," he whispered before kissing me again and walking to the door. "I promise just this once, baby," he added before looking at me apologetically.
It has been a few minutes since Killian left. I am his rightful mate. Should I be treated well than Isabelle? Should she be the one in my position and not me? Killian and I still need to mate for us to acknowledge each other. He fears something will happen to Isabelle and the baby because he marked her. My wolf and I anticipated this sacred thing between mates. Five more months and Killian will be mine for good.
My mind was confused, but I started preparing my attire for the baby shower. Although the whole of me doesn't like the idea, I already promised Killian I would go.
I parked my car in the same parking spot during the pack meeting. The only difference is that my car isn't garbage anymore; it is a brand-new model of a popular car to this day.
"Hey, beautiful," Kaila took me by surprise when she suddenly grabbed my waist from behind. "Look at you wearing a pretty cute dress. I thought you didn't like wearing dresses," she added and looked at me from head to toe.
"Well, this is a party anyways and a formal one, so I thought I should wear one," I lied to her.
"You look like a fine young lady now, not the tomboy one. And you bloom to top to that," she said, smirking. "Makes me think that you already found your mate."
"I told you, didn't I?" I replied. "I haven't found my mate yet."
I will stick to that answer until Killian is ready to introduce me as his real mate.
"Okay, let's go," Kaila took my hand, and she made me follow her inside the packhouse out to the backyard where the main event would happen. I see they built a small stage decorated with flowers and balloons. The tables and chairs are scattered around with blue and pink table cloth.
"Women will be sitting on pink tables while the men appointed on the blue ones," Kaila told me.
"The decoration is too traditional for a baby shower. Nothing is cute about it," my wolf said, checking out the decorations. "If we are pregnant, we'll ensure that everything looks pretty and cute, not as ugly as this."
I secretly snickered at what she commented.
"Dang, you hate Isabelle that much?" I asked my wolf, using our connection inside my head.
"Who would like someone who stole our mate? And the nerve of her getting pregnant when Killian is not her mate at all! Hmph!"
"Relax, okay? Killian will be ours as soon as she gives birth to Killian's little pup," I replied to her, seeing her pissed.
If I didn't stop her from coming out that night during the pack meeting, she would instantly kill Isabelle. A female wolf could be cruel as that if someone took their mate.
"And she'll vanish away for good. I can't believe why her mate didn't come to look for her or she didn't wait for him because she had her eyes on our Killian in the very beginning?"
"Who knows? Killian is a hot Alpha. Aside from being rich, he is sweet too," I told my wolf, to which she immediately agreed.
"But Killian belongs to us! Not to some she-wolf she met," she barks at me.
"Hey, ladies," Zander interrupted my conversation with my wolf when he arrived and spoke.
I was about to smile at him, but I noticed the sweet intoxicating smell of Killian, who was with him. I immediately looked at him, and he gave me a sexy wink followed by a smile that made my heart skip. Lucky for us, Zander and Kaila's back at him, and they didn't notice it.
"So, this is my sister Rain, Alpha, the one I am talking about," Zander told Killian, who pretended that he didn't know me and looked good at this.
"Hi Rain, it's the first time I have seen you and heard your name. Why is that?" he casually told me.
"You don't have any idea how workaholic she is, Alpha. She chose to work her ass off rather than attend pack meetings. That's why she hasn't found her mate yet," Zander told him.
"Urgh, Zander," I rolled my eyes at Zander. This idiot has a big mouth. "I told you, right? I'm not in a hurry," I told him, secretly looking at Killian, who seemed to enjoy what he heard because he smiled at me contently.
"It's okay, Rain. Who knows, maybe your mate out there is waiting for you too?" Killian said.
"Oh yeah, Killian. I remember the male wolf who recently stayed in Marty's Inn in the neutral land; I thought that he might be Rain's mate or something," Kaila commented.
I don't know if I heard anything, but I heard a growl from Killian after Kaila said those words.
"Kaila, I told you he's not," I replied, shaking my head.
Kaila shouldn't mention it. She and her big mouth are just like Zander.
Killian and I have established a relationship, although it's just between us. I can't help but be envious of the couple standing on the makeshift stage, happy and excited while trying to pop a gender-neutral color balloon. They look so perfect. It was like they were royal highnesses, the king and queen. The pack members cheer on them despite being divided in their guesses."Aren't they so cute, Rain?" Kaila asked me, smiling."No, they are not. I would rather say we are lovely if I were that woman," my wolf answered. Thankfully, Kaila can't hear, or she will wonder why my wolf said that."Yes, they are," I replied, faking my smile."Isabelle is a kind woman, Rain. She will be a good luna for us," Kaila added. My wolf didn't like what she heard, and she growled, protesting."Did you two talk?" I asked her, pushing my wolf to the corner of my mind."No. Never," I answered."This woman is disrespecting us, Rain! Tear her to shred and burn her! Show her her place! How dare she praises th
The food is about to serve. Why are you leaving? You need to eat first," she said, still with a sweet smile on her face plastered, and it didn't go away."Ah, does this woman know she's hurting someone just by staying by Killian's side despite knowing she is not his mate?" I ask my wolf."Someone who doesn't wait for their fated pair is considered an indecent woman. This woman in front of us has the nerve to get pregnant by someone who isn't even his mate. It'll make me wonder if, once we ask her if she is aware that Killian is not his mate and that there is someone destined for him instead," my wold replied. I can feel my wolf's burning stare on Isabelle. The hatred is apparent, but she is off-limits since she is with Killian. With forest-green eyes that match the color of her maternity dress, Isabelle is beautiful. No wonder why Killian has fallen for her. "Of course, our mate and us didn't have the chance to meet earlier. If he did meet us first, Isabelle would have been out of t
My fingers were trembling as I tried to insert the key into the keyhole. '"Damn it! Insert!" I scream in frustration. My heart is aching, and it makes me want to lash out. My wolf's pained howls aren't helping too.I know both of us were hurting, but what else could we do? Our mate is with someone else. I thought my wolf and I could carry on his terms, but damn, it hurts. The reality is freaking hurt.As soon I managed to insert the key and start the car, I drove away from the pack house and doubted if I would see it the way I did before, back when I hadn't met my mate. This situation is frustrating, painfully frustrating. I am incomplete, and my heart is yearning for Killian. I want him. My wolf wants his wolf. We want him so much... I wiped my tears as they started to blur my sight while driving. I can't do anything to claim what is mine. Killian...Killian.I'm still holding on because I don't want to let him go. He is mine. When I arrived at my house, I noticed a moving truc
According to Zander, Killian left with Jasmine two days ago after their baby's gender reveal party. He told me that Killian probably decided to let Isabelle breathe since her birth was around the corner. Unlike humans, werewolf pregnancy usually takes six months. Isabelle is due three weeks from now. I should feel excited about her giving birth because Killian will finally be mine. The terms he gave me were that after his girlfriend's delivery, he would break up with her and throw her away from the pack. I believed him, but something behind my back was nagging me to stop assuming. It tells me that Killain's eye expresses so much love to Isabelle that breaking up with her will be impossible. I witnessed that too, but my wolf would always say that Killian would never betray us and our trust. It would have been a long time ago if he wanted to reject us. But what if-"You seem pretty distracted," my best friend said when she noticed me staring somewhere while with her. "I'm sorry. What
"Order up!" Edward yelled while ringing the bell.I laid down the rag I had been using to wipe the same spot for five minutes and went to get the food tray. It was a quiet day today. At least a couple of older people have been dining in, dedicated only to them, since morning. These fewer movements make me think about Killian. I was trying to find ways to keep myself busy, so I can't think about Killian, who has yet to contact me. This situation is painfully hurting me. Where did he go, and what is he doing? Those questions filled my head up, and I couldn't find an answer. "Here you go," I smiled, setting the plates in front of an elderly couple. "Can I get you anything else?""No, thank you, sweetie," the woman said kindly. "We have everything we need," she added.I nodded at them both before turning away to return to the counter. I sighed once I reached my destination and propped myself on my elbow. I glance around the place, seeing if anyone needs anything before realizing everyon
"Rain, I went home today. Something came up that needed my attention." It was a message from Erix. Oh, come to think of it. Erix and I agreed that we'd have a movie marathon tonight since the next day is my day off. Well, it can't be helped, Erix is an alpha, and he still has some responsibility to the pack he left behind. I sat down in the crowded club with Aira while she was chatting with a stranger. Now that my plans with Erix were canceled, I don't have any valid reason for Aira to decline her invitation. And now I'm stuck in this club. Aira is another friend, aside from being a classmate and a co-worker. And she once belonged to a pack before she decided to run away and leave in this neutral town for good. I knew Aira loved entertaining humans, but she also told me it was just for the time being until she met her mate. She doesn't want a serious relationship to avoid complications in the future. So in the meantime, she's dragging me anytime she knows I'm not doing anything. It
"K-Kilian?" I was surprised. I wasn't expecting him to come, especially during this wee hour of dawn."Why do you seem so shocked? Did you expect that I would never notice your nightlife? You even smell like those douchebags called humans. Did you have fun?" Killian asks before standing up and closing the distance between us. "It's not what you think. My friend and I had a few drinks. Nothing else," I explained to him, trying to calm him down. His eyes started to darken as a sign of his wolf taking over his body. I don't know why he was angry. I should be. Where is his heart leaving his mate behind, not even telling him where he did go? Is that how mates are supposed to be? "You are supposed to stay here and wait for me. Why don't you follow that rule?" Killian said, growling. Killian tightened his arms around the waist and was about to do something, but I placed my hands on his chest to stop him. "You know, you are blinded by anger. Let's talk about this when you calm down," I
Erix started to avoid me when he learned that my mate was Killian. I don't know if he does this on purpose, but he's avoiding me. And it all started with him learning Killian is my mate.Lately, when I went home after work, he would approach me and invite me to his house for dinner or a late-night snack. "Erix seems not at home tonight, too," my wolf commented when I glanced at Erix's home. "Seems like he is avoiding us.""I know. That's why I wanted to talk to Erix if there's something between him and Killian." "Maybe we have to wait for a chance to catch him."I woke up early so I could catch Erix during his morning run. Bingo, I saw him running all sweaty coming towards his home. I got up and ran to block his way. I need to confront him. It's now or never. "Good morning, Erix. Care to chat a bit?" I smiled at him. "Morning'' he said under his breath as he wiped his sweat using the helm of his sweatshirt. "Want to have a coffee at my house?" I purposely invited him so I could
“Will you marry me?” The first words came from Erix’s mouth when I woke up. I was about to yawn and prepare myself for a whole day of Luna and Mother duty. I looked at Erix and then at the white and gold ring with a diamond and some bluish precious stones circling the largest diamond. “Uhm, Erix?” I asked him, confused. “We already became mates, a werewolf wedding, plus we already had four children. I think it’s too late for this,” I added. “It’s never been too late for us to get married, baby,” Erix said as he held my left hand. “It’s my dream to marry a woman I love like my Dad did to Mom.”I smiled at him. What he said warmed my heart, and who am I to say no to him? “Will you marry me, Luna?” He asked again. I nodded at him. “Yes, Erix. I’ll marry you,” I said. “So when are you going to marry me?” I added, teasing him after he slid the ring to my finger and kissed it.“As soon as possible,” he replied. “I want an extravagant wedding, something we can never forget. I think we
I dipped my fingers inside his boxers and rubbed the pad of my thumb over the tip of him, ghosting my hand over the length of him. It's my turn to feel his body tremble from what I'm doing to him. It had been a while, and I knew Erix was excited, just like me. I have the power to do what I want to do because this male was mine, not by fate but by love. This mine, he's all mine. I watched Erix take a deep breath and groan out, closing his eyes. I start to pick up the pace as his hips begin to move back and forth into my fingers that have wrapped tightly around his length. His strong thighs trembled from my touch, and his eyes fluttered open, looking at me. Up and down using slow, strong strokes; I love watching this, watching him gasped quietly through slightly parted lips. I'm glad because I am the only one who can bring this side of him. I love this man so much that I will sacrifice for him. I moved faster, and my grip tightened on him, with a destination that I was going to brin
"The kids had already slept?" Erix asked me as soon as I entered our room. "Yeah. The twins finally settled down," I said, sighing before I climbed on the bed. My original plan was to sleep early, but Erix had something in his mind as soon as he put the book he was reading and started kissing me."You have no idea how long I waited, Rain," Erix said in between little nips of my skin, not enough to cause real pain, just enough to entice a rush of endorphins to be released into my bloodstream, causing excessive pleasure to rage throughout my body. He's playing to my compulsions, riling them up for what's to come...he needed them in his corner.I squirm underneath him, his hands running along my body, over my clothes, feeling my body, his fingers firm...so demanding. He began to kiss my neck, his wet tongue flicking against my sensitive flesh. He's inciting a riot within me and knows what he's doing."Let me."His voice was toned in silk, caressing my compulsions with its softness. He
With the blood infusion, Rain was saved. Diesel had hurt her so badly to the point he killed his son and endangered Rain's life. I wish I had finished him, but Zander had to do it to take what belonged to him. After Diesel's defeat, Zander took the position of Alpha and led the largest pack back to its former self before Diesel's family took it in. The doctor who did everything to save Rain was their actual Aunt. She poured all her knowledge into helping Rain and assisted Zander when he claimed the title of an Alpha. When Rain gained consciousness, her heart broke when she learned her baby didn't make it. Although the baby was not mine, I wasn't that heartless to wish him death. With Rain's fatal internal wounds, Luna Sonia said, it might take her chance to get pregnant again. Everything is back to normal now. Rijel and Diesel's death ended our suffering, and we live freely now."Mom! Come on, you got to see my friend," Clay said as he was pulling his mother's hand. "Yes, yes, Cla
I growled so loud. It was the only way for the black wolf to distract what he was doing with my Rain. The wolf stopped from biting her. Rain collapsed on the ground, panting heavily. Pregnant she-wolves were prohibited from shifting since the baby might crash. But why on earth was Rain in her wolf form despite being pregnant? The answer lies in the bastard, who had a cocky smirk, even in his wolf form. Suddenly, ten wolves tried to tackle me on the ground. I was too careless; my whole attention was with Rain, and I forgot I was in a battleground. The wolves pinned me down, ensuring I could see what was happening with Rain. Rain looked at me, still panting. She was forced to stand up but failed miserably. There was another wolf behind her who was covered in blood, and I doubt if it's still breathing. Rain's wolf huffed, trying to crawl to me, but the Black wolf stepped on her back. Rain whispered as I growled at the black wolf, warning him not to dare. The black wolf looked at
Erix's point of viewWhat Jordan told me was like a bomb exploding in my face. Rain is pregnant, not mine, but with someone else's baby! My wolf was in a rage; it wanted to rip this man's head before me, but I tried to calm him down. But what enraged me more was the man who had her was none other than Diesel Saavedra, Zander's best friend. "Starting from your parent's death to Rain's pregnancy, it was all planned," Jordan told me as he was driving. "The Blood Pack was just a distraction that Diesel had created and secretly pulled the string without anyone noticing it," he added. "Is there any particular reason why that bastard decided to ruin mine and Rain's life?" I said, trying to calm down. "For power," he said. "And for Rain. He has been wanting her since she was just a little girl; hence, he impregnated her because he wanted Rain to be his mate, and getting her pregnant through threat was just a bonus.""Threatening her?""Yes, like he'll kill you and your pack, which we know
"Erix," I breathe, stepping through the front door. He clenched his jaw and looked at me. "Rain?" His voice was shaky. "Erix, I'm home," I smiled and ran to him. He pulled me into a tight hug. Tears form in my eyes. I'm relieved to finally go home. "I thought you were dead," Eris whispered in my hair. I fell silent for a while. "Rain, you have to leave," he croaked. I pulled away from him and furrowed my eyebrows."What? Why?" "There's someone else, Rain. You were gone so long that I couldn't help but fall in love with someone else," he said.A look of regret crossed his face. My lips parted, and I started to say something."What about Clay? Amira? Where are they?""They're fine. They have a new mom now. You left them, and it's all your fault," Erix growled. It's all my fault."B-but I can explain why I was gone," I begged him to just listen to me, but Erix didn't show any sympathy. "I don't need someone like you anymore. Hence, I should have let you die when you decided to kil
"Who are you? Why are you trespassing on my territory?"A man in his late forties appeared behind a large tree. Five more wolves joined him and bore their canines to us. "P-please," Alice begged them. "We don't mean any harm. We only crossed this land because we were being chased. We're sorry for trespassing, sir."The white wolf who tackled Alice let her go and shifted into a man. He looked intently at Alice as if fighting something within him. "Where did you come from, and who was chasing you?" the older man asked. "We're from Greyhound Pack," Alice replied. Suddenly, a loud growl erupted from the man who shifted recently. "That bastard's pack!?" he growled. "Calm down, Jean. We need to know how they came here and stuff. Take them to the pack for interrogation," the older man said. He was probably the Alpha. Some of the wolves carried our bags and shifted into their human form as we walked to a path cleared of snow.We walked for about half an hour before a beautiful and mode
"Rain, do you think you can walk?" Alice asked me out of nowhere. "Yes, I can. Why?" "I feel uneasy. Let's get out here. Something bad would happen when I feel like this," she added. "Come, let's go," she said, bringing out the bags full of baby's clothing and some of our clothes.Without questioning and believing her, I helped her pack. "It's snowing. The scent of snow blocks any scent of potential intruders. With Diesel's connection, I can' assure us we're still safe here. It's better than sorry."Alice shifted into her wolf form and told me to ride on her back. I did what she wanted, and as soon as I tapped her gently, saying I was good to go, she sprinted at her top speed without particular direction. Despite the thick snow slowing us down, we made it far until we heard a loud howl. It was so loud that it made me and Alice tremble. Alice and I reached a wide river that was partially covered with eyes. We could not go to the other side without crossing that river. Alice looked
