Chapter 2
"My boy looks agitated today? May I know the reason behind your sour mood, son?" Samanvay let out the breath he was holding and glanced at his adoptive father, Milan Goenka who had a curious look on his face. Samanvay knew he was not going to stop pestering Him until he knew the reason behind His anger. Milan glanced at John, Samanvay’s friend and right-hand man in question even though he knew that John would never tell him anything. He might be their adoptive father but John was loyal to Samanvay not him. He was here for Samanvay and Lisa. "Sam?" Milan asked again, Samanvay straightened in his chair and gave him the happy news. "I have found the woman I want to marry."Milan blinked, for a moment he didn't understand how to react. “You have found a woman to marry?" He asked one more time to make sure he heard him right. Samanvay nodded at his father. “Yes, I have.”"May I know who this lucky girl is?""Manya Sehgal." Samanvay answered and Milan Goenka stiffened. He gave him a tight look, "I hope you are not talking about Niam Sehgal's daughter, Manya Sehgal, son?"Samanvay grinned. “I am talking exactly about her, Father.”Milan jerked in his seat. "No! That man is my biggest enemy or have you forgotten about it, Son. I didn't want you to offer him a business deal yet you made that offer. What did he do, he rejected it. And now you want to marry his daughter. Have you lost your mind Sam! He will never agree to it!" Now it was Milan Goenka who was agitated. "I assure you my mind is still where it belongs, Father. But someone's words hit me in a very bad way. And I want that person to pay for it." Samanvay said, reminiscing the insults Manya and her father threw at him. "Words? What words? Will you stop talking in riddles and tell me things clearly for once!" Milan snapped at Samanvay who sighed and told him the whole incident. By the end of the story, Milan was bustling with anger. "How dare he insult me and my son ? He called us low-class cheap criminals. I will show him how dangerous this low-class cheap criminal could be!" He snarled and turned his eyes to John who was seething in anger too just like Milan. "You will not do anything, Father. Don't forget I rule over The Syndicate now. You crowned me as its king so you need to respect my decision too. No one will touch either Niam or his daughter Manya. No one will punish them."Milan glared at Samanvay. "I made you the king to rule over the Syndicate, not to get insulted by my enemy and his daughter.""I am marrying your enemy's daughter. Don't you think it would be far more brutal punishment for both of them rather than the killing you are planning to do?" Samanvay countered back in the same angry undertone as Milan Goenka. John made an angry sound in his throat but remained silent otherwise. Milan on the other hand squinted his eyes, "that girl is in a relationship! Her father is eager to have her married to that man. So sorry Son but you stand no chance because Niam Sehgal will kill himself and his daughter but wouldn't allow you to marry her!" Samanvay’s eyes darkened in anger. "Come again, Father!" He was enraged. The woman who he decided to marry was in a relationship with someone. He had claimed Her as His, which meant She no longer could even glance at some other man anymore. Then how could She be in a relationship? "You heard it right, Son, the woman you have eyes on is in a relationship with someone else."Samanvay's nose flared and he closed his eyes to curb the rage which was running in his nerves like a hot lava and he was close to burst out like a volcanic eruption. "That woman is mine now!" He declared, opening his eyes and staring directly at his father. "Whoever this man is, he needs to get out of her life or I will make him get out of this world."Milan sighed and stood up. He knew that his son would not stop until he got that woman, still he tried to make him understand. "Sam, I met this girl twice. She is not right for you son. A loveless marriage is far more horrible than the fires of hell and that girl will never love you, Son.”Samanvay stood up as well and grinned. "I don't want her love, father. I am happy with her hate and beautiful body. These are the only things I want and need from her. This woman caught my attention the moment she entered my vision. I saw her and decided to have her and now she has no other choice but to marry me,” He might be smiling outwardly but inward he is burning in rage. But he learned to school his emotions from showing on his face. The thrill in his voice told Milan how deep he Samanvay could go for her. So he tried to remind him about business. "Do whatever you want but I don't want you to get distracted from work for a girl, Sam. You want to play with that girl, play, but don't play with work for her. Business is business.""I want that girl for business, Father. Her father is stepping into politics this year and if he wins the parliamentary election, I will have the majority of docks under my control." Milan raised his brows. "He could use his power against you too, don't forget the enemy with power is more dangerous.""The power will be in my hands rather than him. His daughter is his weakness. I will use his daughter in this game of hatred with Niam Sehgal."Milan watched the dark shining gleam and the rapture in his son's eyes. He understood that nothing and no one could stand in Samanvay's way to get that woman. He would have been happy if his son would have been in love with that girl but he could see that there was no love in his eyes for her. It was nothing but pure obsession. The obsession to make her his. The obsession to teach her the lesson for insulting him. The obsession to punish her without hurting her physically. He could see madness in Samanvay's eyes. He knew the consequences of this madness would be nothing but an explosion so hard that it would take away everything with it. Resignedly, he looked at his for a long minute,"Don't let anyone hurt you, son." Milan whispered and left from Samanvay’s office. Samanvay tapped his fingers on the perfectly furnished rosemary desk thrice before glancing at John. "Find out about the man who My Queen loves, John. Find every bloody thing about him!"Chapter 3"I am waiting for the day when you and Neel will get married just like this," Niam said with a wistful look in his eyes as he watched the wedding ceremony of a client's daughter in the grand hall of his hotel. Manya turned to her father."Neel said he will talk to his father about us, soon. I hope that Mr Oberoi agrees to it." Niam glanced at his daughter. "He will agree. Who can say no for my My daughter?" Manya gave her father a small smile. She knew how proud her father was of her. At the age of twenty-five, even after being a having a law degree, she was working in her family business and successfully handling the post of General manager of The Sehgal group of hotels and resorts around the world. But She was eagerly waiting for the big promotion next month when her father would announce her as the next CEO of The Sehgal group of hotels and resorts. It was one of her dreams, to take over her father's legacy and take it to the new heights of success. Manya had only t
John and Milan watched Samanvay pacing around his room. He was seething in rage. "She called me an Orphan, she called me bad blood, father,” Samanvay snarled. Milan's eyes met John's. Both knew how dangerous Samanvay could get in this mood. "I can take care of this woman. I can punish her if you want." John stated and Samanvay stopped pacing around the room. He snapped his eyes to his friend and sneered, "Come again!" John swallowed his saliva to wet his throat at the intensity of Samanvay’s angry gaze. "She insulted you for the second time, Sir. I just thought… ""You thought wrong, John. She is going to be your queen. Take her name with respect or I won't warn you next time,” He stated and pointed a finger to his chest. “This is my revenge. My war against those snobs. Killing or hurting them is not the right punishment for them. Especially for Her!" He whispered, His eyes and tone darkened automatically at the thought of Manya Sehgal. "She called me a disgusted swine. She is dis
Samanvay lightened His cigar and took a puff as He eyed Anthony through His peripheral vision. "You don't understand Anthony, this is my city now. I rule over ‘The Syndicate’ now, not Milan Goenka. What understanding you had with him, it ended with his rule. Now, you have to pay taxes like everyone else does." He said taking another puff of cigar and blowing the smoke on Anthony's face.Anthony's face tightened in fury. He glanced at Milan with anger-filled eyes. "Your son is insulting me, Milan. We have a twenty-year unwritten arrangement. You can't change the rules just like that. Don't forget who helped you when you were in jail."John's eyes were on the man standing behind Anthony. His restless eyes were telling him that this meeting could soon turn into a bloody one. John was ready to spread blood too."I returned the favour to you, Anthony. As my son said, He rules over ‘The Syndicate’ now, not me. You should have taken His permission before bringing your goods to His docks."
Manya closed her eyes to bear his touch when Samanvay held her hand after the wedding ceremony. Yes, she married him, willingly. She married the man she despised the most in this whole universe to punish herself for the crime of loving someone who didn't deserve her love.Samanvay smiled arrogantly, seeing Manya as his bride. His bruised ego was somewhat soothed but her despicable words still haunted his memory. She saved him a lot of time and effort by marrying him willingly. But now, He sure was going to treat her like his queen, a submissive queen. Hurting or torturing her was not his style, Samanvay Goenka retaliated differently. Physical violence against women is for weak men. He had other methods to break her, piece by piece and bring her to her knees in front of him. And once he got his submissive wife, he was going to glue her back, piece by piece. But sure as hell He was going to make her eat her pride every single day of this marriage. Samanvay chuckled inwardly at his t
Manya peeled her eyes open as the non-stop ringing of her phone made it impossible for her to sleep. She blinked a few times to recognize her surroundings but couldn't. Her head was bouncing like a rubber ball in pain and the ringing of her cell was only increasing her misery. Taking a deep breath, she took her phone and sat in the bed before accepting the call. "Anav?""What have you done, Manya? What have you done!" Manya hissed in pain when her brother's sharp voice smacked through her ears. "Don't raise your voice at me, Anav." She ordered him in a firm tone as she massaged her temple with her fingers to soothe away the pain but it only increased when she spoke. "Manya! You lost the right to order me after what you did. Dad has locked himself in his study. Our phones are ringing constantly, people are asking us questions. "Her scowl deepened. "What are you talking about? Stop talking in riddles and tell me clearly what happened.""What happened? You are talking as if you don't
Manya came to meet her father as soon as she could. The house she lived in for twenty-five years felt different to her in a single day. Everything in her life changed in just one day. "I married him, Dad."Niam Sehgal stared into her daughter's eyes without blinking. He was trying to find out why his daughter married that low-class goon. "Why?" He asked when he couldn't find the answer to his question in her eyes. Manya chuckled. "Why else but to punish myself, Dad. I promised myself that I will never fall in love but I broke my promise. I broke my promise and made the same mistake Mom made thirty years ago. And just like her, I suffered."Niam Sehgal's eyes turned cold. "Manya!" He snapped at his daughter for the first time in his life. "Look who you are talking to!"Manya closed her eyes for a moment and let out a long sigh then She opened her eyes again and looked at her father. "I never wanted to live a humiliating life like Mom, Dad. When I went into a relationship with Neel, I
Manya eyed the huge Mansion in front of her. She herself lived in a mansion until now but what was in front of her was far grander than what she was habitual of living in. It was equivalent to a Castle. A big castle fit for a King, there was no other word to describe it. "Welcome to my Palace, My Sweet. This is where you will live from now on."Samanvay held her hand as they walked toward the main door. He raised his hand to ring the bell but the door opened before he could even touch the switch. Samanvay’s heart picked speed when his maid's face greeted him instead of Lisa. Samanvay gave her a questioning glare and the maid snatched her eyes from Manya and looked down. "Madam is reading in the hall sir,” she said she doesn't want any sound while at it.""Fuck!" Samanvay cursed. She is still angry, He thought as tension shot through his nerves.Manya frowned at his language and turned her eyes to his. "Don't curse. I hate people who do it." She said in a stern tone. "Too bad thi
Samanvay waited for Lisa's personal maid to come and call Him and Manya for breakfast but she didn't come. Instead, their breakfast was delivered to their room. He could see the hype of Lisa's anger through this act. She didn't want to sit on the dining table with Him anymore. Her short hair and not dining together gave him an ache in the soul. And Samanvay hated it. It was killing him from inside. He understood she didn't want to be anywhere near him until her anger calmed down. A sensible man would have waited for it but he couldn't wait that long. He needed to see her now. His emotions for her made him weak. So he went to her room and knocked on the door twice before crashing it open. His shoulder dropped with a sigh when his eyes landed on Lisa standing against the window with her back to him. With another grim sigh he started walking to her. "Lisa?"She turned around with raised eyebrows. A twisted smile appeared on her face. "Sam…" she asked, her voice slurred a little wh
“You are wasting your time, Mr Goenka. Your son is a criminal, And I am not talking about his illegitimate businesses. He is my criminal. I can't forgive him for what he did,” Manya told Milan Goenka who once again came to advocate for his son. His presence was not less than the turmoil she left behind. It's been a year since Manya left Goenka Mansion and shifted back in with her parents. She was hesitant to join her father's business again but it was offered to her as a job. Moreover, she was pursuing her law career along with it. She had decided that in a few years when her children grow a little more, she would quit this job and focus solely on being an advocate. But for now, her priority was her children. Viraj and Dylan. And for them she could make a few sacrifices with her pride. Milan's hands clenched into tight fists. His eyes flashing with a mix of anger and sadness. “Yes, he is a criminal. And I get it, Manya, that his initial intentions regarding this marriage were n
“Welcome back, Manya,” Anav greeted his sister. “I am delighted to see you back where you belong.”Manya swallowed the humiliating thickness in her throat and nodded. She chose another wrong man to love. But again, that love gave her her sons and she didn't regret her children. They could be the symbol of revenge for her husband but not for her. To her, Viraj and Dylan were symbols of her love. She wouldn't regret them ever. But now she wants to thrive in her career. She returned to her father's house but she would never be financially dependent on him. She needed to think about the future of her and her children. “Manya, let me show you your room. I will send all the things you and your children need,” Hina Sehgal said, caressing Manya’s hair. Niam nodded at his wife in happiness. The home minister residence never looked so lively that it looked now to him. “Anav, come to my office. I have something important to share with you.”Hina watched her son and husband leaving before she
“Don't!” Samanvay whispered holding Manya’s arm when she started packing her and their sons clothes. Manya shook his touch away and silently kept packing. This man, he didn't deserve her words, she reminded herself. She needed to get out of this house with her children or she might commit her first murder. Neil hurt her pride but Samanvay crushed it. And Manya could live without a heart, a soul, but not without her pride. Samanvay's heart was pounding hard in fear. Fear of losing his wife, his children. His family. “Manya. Whatever Lisa said it's partially true. I will tell you everything but at least allow me to clarify this misunderstanding.”Manya gritted her jaw as she zipped her bags and went to her children to take them and leave from here silently. But Samanvay wouldn't let her go this easily, not without a fight. He grabbed her arm and pulled her to him. “Manya listen to me!”And that was the last thing she could tolerate right now. Him touching her with his dirty and lyin
Independence! It feels great. Samanvay Goenka was finally freed from the Jail. The inspector who arrested him was fuming, he couldn't do anything to stop Samanvay’s release. “Don’t be too joyful, Samanvay. You are coming back here again. And very soon,” The inspector gritted out. His frustration and anger made Samanvay chuckle in sarcasm. “This time, I will invite you to my place, soon. Very soon, inspector,” Samanvay said with a promising look in his eyes. Veer maintained eye contact and nodded in defiance. Samanvy didn't like the fearless look in that Inspector’s eyes. He wanted that man to cry in fear. Fear of SAMANVAY GOENKA. THE MERCILESS RULER OF HELL!“Let's go, Sir. Your family is waiting for you,” Mr Handa, Samanvay's lawyer said to him and he finally snapped his eyes away from inspector Veer. The time to punish that inspector would come. But it was not today. Right now, he was focused on reaching home to his wife. Samanvay checked the time. Only half an hour left to r
Samanvay was stunned. Oh, all his anger vanished and in its stead pride and lust took over his senses. His wife looked hot showcasing her authority like this. Fuck! He wanted to be alone with her. But first, he needed to witness his wife's bossy avatar a little more. Manya gave Veer a warning glare. “I want to talk to my husband alone.”“You can't. Only his lawyer could do that, if you want to talk to him, bring me the permission of the judge,” the inspector said and Manya’s eyes turned sharp around her corners. “I am his lawyer! Now leave, I want privacy with my client!”Veer fisted his hands angrily as he gave Manya a nod. “Twenty minutes.” “I will decide that not you,” Manya answered sharply and gestured at him with her chin to get out of there. With one angry look at Samanvay, Veer walked out of the cell along with the constable but not before untying Samanvay's hands with anger filled eyes. Manya took a deep breath and finally set her aflamed angry gaze to her husband who wa
“Samanvay Goenka. The Don of Syndicate, The Big Bad Wolf, The king of Darkness, Hades,” Inspector Veer said, pacing around the chair Samanvay was tied to. His voice dripped gravely as he put weight on every syllable describing Samanvay’s dark and shady personality. Samanvay chuckled. “You got one thing wrong, Inspector,” he said in a proud and taunting manner. “I am not a wolf but a Lion,” his words stopped Veer’s pacing around him and he grabbed Samanvay's jaws tightly. “I remember one more thing about you, Samanvay Goenka,” He hissed and got into Samanvay’s face. “The Bastard. You were found in a dumpster right?” Samanvay's eyes darkened as clouds of anger formed in his gaze. “Inspector. Why do you want your future children to bear the fate I bore as a child? Don't you love your life, hm?”Veer’s nose flared when he mentioned his unborn baby. He left Samanvay's jaw only to punch it hard! “Never mention my family again from your disgusting mouth you son of a whore or I will make
John’s eyes froze on the screen of his phone and blood drained off his face. He could see his family crushing under the weight of this news. Lisa would never be able to handle this, and Kiara. Jesus! Everything was ruined. Everything!Manya massaged her temples with her fingers to ease down the pain in her head. “John, will you start the car? I want to go home right now.”“Manya…” John’s stiff voice made her raise her eyes at him. “What?” She asked, her voice careful because from the look on John's face she could see something bad had happened. “What happened John?” she snapped when he didn't answer. John punched the steering wheel of the car hard and Manya stiffened at the violent act. “John?” “The news went viral! The police are doing a press conference telling the world about Samanvay’s arrest. They are trying everything to hype this issue so that Samanvay’s bail gets denied.”Manya clenched her jaws tightly as she glanced at the Home Minister’s residence through a narrowed ga
“The bail is denied,” John informed Milan, whose face contorted in anger and eyes blazed with anger as almost a decade later, Milan Goenka held a gun in his hand again. Not for the show this time, but to use it on someone. “You promised Samanvay not to hold a gun again. Don't break your promise. He would never forgive himself,” John reminded his adopted father. “I am not ready to lose another son of mine!” Milan snapped at John. “Niam Sehgal didn't put Samanvay behind the bars, He threw my reputation behind them!”John raked a hand to his tired face. “Milan, I am already tense. Don't increase my tension. Samanvay will go berserk if anything happens to you. Niam Sehgal is the Home Minister of this state. You can't fight him with guns, Dammit! Do you think anyone could have touched Sam had it been a gunfight!”“Then you tell me what I should do!” Milan all but screamed in frustration. “I Can't lose another son. I can't lose Samanvay. I can’t see him in this condition, John!” Manya'
“Bark again!” Samanvay lashed at John who looked down towards the floor. He knew that if he said something, Samanvay’s anger would only spark further. “I am asking you something, John!” He commanded brusquely. “Five casinos are sealed here and three in Goa. Two more liquor licences were cancelled by the government, this month.” John informed him again and Samanvay’s eyes turned livid. “Have you called the Chief Minister?” He inquired, his voice tight with barely controlled rage. John blew out a breath and shook his head, “Not accepting the call. As per my sources, He gave free hand to Niam Sehgal to ruin your business and reputation.”Samanvay’s eyes went as hard as stones as his anger reached the boiling point. “Manan Raj!” He seethed out as his fingers clenched tightly into a fist. “Samanvay, I think you should leave the country for a while. As things proceed, I can see an ugly faceoff. Niam has political power in his hold. He is dangerous for us right now.”Samanvay’s eyes went
