The Higher Power

I had never planned to stay with him. But God had his plans. I came to the town as an outsider but the town accepted me. All my life I have craved acceptance. And this town gave me all that I always wanted. I yearned for love and to be loved. I do not think it is wrong. There is no shame in craving for love, there is no shame in being hungry for the person whom you love. 

I always dreamt of a man possessing loyalty, intelligence, strength, boldness, a strong sense of love and family, and wealth who will help me to get rid of all the problems of my life and fulfil all my fantasies.

I was the unlucky child of God since birth. But life did take a U-turn when Tiger came into my life. I had been living a life full of problems and difficulties and was looking for someone and did find him. I found something much greater than that. Maybe we were meant to meet each other.

My happiness was like February 30th, which never existed until Tiger came into my life. He did not care about my past life; he wanted to be my future. I used to think all men were the same, but he was different. He was the type of man about whom I had heard from my mother, who existed in fairy tales only. 

Well, there was a huge difference between our backgrounds. He was quite a wealthy, renowned billionaire who resided in California, U.S.A. I was just a lower-middle-class woman. But that never came in between our love. Neither of us expected our loveless marriage to turn into love. The more we would fight the pull, the more the chemistry between us sizzled. Despite delicious struggles, and battles, our loveless convenience marriage shone brightly when the spark of love entered our lives. Amidst this, we found soul mates in each other.

I always thought that I was difficult to love. But Tiger proved me wrong. I was fighting to survive my world, where I missed everything. I know how much courage it took to accept the love which came my way. Not to forget Tiger took courage and willpower to show it to me. In the end, it was me who was fighting against myself. I used to go through my dark periods like the moon and hide. But he promised to kiss my wounds whenever they hurt. Even if the wound was in my soul, he promised to find them and heal me. 

In that process, I followed my heart, found my fire and things started to fall on track by default. I did my best and had a beautiful life to cherish. I lost the old me and found a better version of myself. I was damaged that when Tiger gave me what I deserved I did not have any idea to reciprocate his altruism.

But nothing is as easy or uncomplicated as it seems. Relationships in long run undergo several pinnacles along the way. Love is full of compromises and similarly, we had to.

Our relationship was tested. A Series of pinnacles came our way. However, love is easy, trust is hard and eventually our biggest challenge was shutting down our doubts about each other and trusting our hearts to have made the right choice.

Hating someone is very easy, but you need strength to love someone. Love is an art. You need to practice that art every day. We have that art in us but we do not will to practice.
