Chapter 13

Author's POV

Amelia's eyes widened when she felt his lips on her.

She felt frozen. Completely frozen. Only the things she was feeling the butterflies were dancing in her stomach. A wave of strange emotions hit her.

When Ace did not get any response, he pulled away and looked at her. Her mouth was still open in shock.

"Close your mouth baby, or a fly will enter your mouth," Ace said and bit his tongue to control his laughing when she opened her mouth more in shock then closed it like a fish.

"What did you just do now?" Amelia asked him angrily when finally she came back in reality.

"You kissed me that night so I kissed you now. A kiss for a kiss. Simple is that" Ace said and sat down on his chair.

"You mannerless pervert, it was a dare. I have already told you about it then why the hell did you kiss me?" Amelia asked him angrily.

"Dare or not. It will not change the fact that you kissed me. You took my precious kiss" Ace said.

Amelia gritted her teeth in anger and left his cabin. Ace burst out into laughing when she left his cabin.

"It is going to be an interesting game" Ace said then started working.

Amelia came out from his cabin.

"That devil is saying like I took his first kiss. That useless pervert devil" Amelia cursed him then entered her cabin.

She sat down on her chair then started doing her work.

When the lunch time came, Amelia took her phone and came out from her cabin. She went to the devil's cabin and knocked at his door.

"Come in," Ace said and she entered his cabin.

"It is lunch time. Can I go now?" Amelia asked him gritting her teeth. She was beyond irritated that she would have to take his permission before every work.

"Yes. You can go and after your lunch bring my lunch too" Ace said without looking at her. He was busy in working.

"Mannerless devil" Amelia muttered then left his cabin. She went towards the lift and pressed the button. When the lift opened Amelia saw a man was inside the lift.

He was around mid-twenty. He looked handsome but not more than Ace.

"Why the hell am I comparing him with that devil?" Amelia muttered then she entered the lift and stood at a corner. The lift soon started working.

"Hi, are you new here?" The man asked.

"Yes," Amelia replied politely.

"Hi, my name is Joe," The man said and forwarded his hand for a handshake.

Amelia shook her hand being nervous.

"I am Amelia," Amelia said.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl. Which section do you work, Amelia?" Joe asked her.

"I am the personal assistant of Mr. King," Amelia said.

"It is sad that you have to work with the devil," Joe said.

Amelia felt strange. Although she also called him devil but she didn't like it when Joe called him a devil.

Amelia just smiled nervously in reply.

"Are you going for lunch?" Joe asked her again.

"Yes," Amelia said.

"Good. I am going too. Let's have lunch together. I really hope you have no problem to have lunch with me" Joe said to her with hope.

"No. It's okay" Amelia said.

Soon the lift reached the ground floor.

When the lift opened Amelia and Joe came out and saw Ace was standing in front of them.

He was looking at Joe sharply.

"Good afternoon, sir" Joe greeted him.

"Good afternoon, Mr..."

"It is Mr. Joe Hill sir" Joe replied.

"I see," Ace said and pulled Amelia towards him and wrapped his hand around her lower back.

Amelia gasped in shock. Even Joe was looking at them with shock.

"Which section do you work in?" Ace asked him.

"Sales department sir," Joe said.

"I am waiting for the Milton company's sales report from yesterday and you are here trying to hit on my girlfriend," Ace said. 

Hearing this, Amelia felt numb. She looked at him.

Joe was shocked too.

"I d..didn't know it, sir. Please forgive me" Joe said to him.

"You better be. I want the sales report within an hour or you will not find yourself in my company again" Ace said to him in his professional dominating tone.

"Yes sir," Joe said. He started shaking in fear.

"I don't think your lunch is more important than your job," Ace said.

"Yes, sir," Joe said and got in the lift again.

"Let's go," Ace said and started walking towards the exit door.

"What was it? Why did you do this? He was just talking with me friendly. You did not even let him take his lunch." Amelia asked him.

"Work comes first baby girl. He is ignoring work. I didn't appoint him to hit on my girlfriend" Ace said and they come out from the company.

"I am not your real girlfriend," Amelia said.

"Does not matter. Fake or real you are mine" Ace said then they entered the canteen.

Ace entered the private room and gave orders for them.

"You can't not take my right to talk with male workers," Amelia said again.

"Baby girl, do you know 5 million is a nice amount?" Ace said.

Amelia looked at him angrily for blackmailing her.

Then they took their lunch and left the canteen.

After they come back, they started working again.

When the work time finished Amelia left for home not before taking his permission.

Amelia entered her home being tired. That devil assigned her a lot of works.

"Baby, how was your first day?" Jenny asked her daughter.

"Nice mom. Where is dad?" Amelia asked

"He is sleeping. You go and freshen up. I will call you when the dinner is ready" Jenny said to her.

"Okay mom," Amelia said and entered her room.

She dropped her bag on her bed then took out her night dress and a towel then entered the washroom.

When the cold water touched her, Amelia felt relaxed. When the water drop fell on her lips, Amelia ended up remembering his kiss again.

"Arrggggg...get out of my head you pervert," Amelia said and turned off the shower.

She wrapped the towel around her and left the washroom.

Sitting in front of the dressing table she started drying her hair. When she was done, she wore her clothes and fell on her bed.

She took her phone and started reading a book.

After two hours her mom called her for dinner. Amelia came out and took dinner with her parents then she went back to her room.

She would have to wake up at 5.

Amelia set the alarm the laid down on the bed. Soon she fell asleep.

The next day

Amelia entered the office. She went towards the lift and saw Joe was standing outside the lift.

When Joe noticed Amelia, he smiled at her.

"Hi," Joe said.

"Hi," Amelia said.

"I was really shocked when the boss said you are his girlfriend," Joe said.

"Look, I am sorry for his behavior," Amelia said.

"No, it's okay. Even I would have acted that way if I were in his place" Joe said.

"What do you mean?" Amelia said.

"I meant anyone should have acted this way if he has a beautiful girlfriend like you," Joe said.

Amelia felt uncomfortable hearing it.

Soon the lift opened. They entered the lift.

Joe pressed the 39 floors.

"Actually, I want to tell you something," Joe said.

"What?" Amelia asked.

"Tomorrow is my birthday and Sunday also. Our off day. I am from another city. I don't know anyone here. Will you spend some time with me tomorrow like a friend? It is just a friendly date" Joe asked her.

"Sorry I can not," Amelia said.

"Please Amelia, just for three hours. I will drop you home before evening. Please don't say no. Please, please " Joe requested.

Amelia was about to say something when Joe spoke up again, "You do not need to answer now. You can answer when we will eat our lunch together. I really hope you don't reject me"

Just then the lift opened and Joe left.

Amelia pressed the 55 floors with a sigh.

Amelia reached her floor and entered the kitchen then made a cup of black coffee for her boss.

Taking the cup, she knocked on his door.

"Come in" Came an angry voice from inside.

"Good morning sir. Your coffee" Amelia said and put the cup on his table.

Ace didn't greet her back. Amelia turned to leave the room when Ace spoke up," Wait"

"Yes sir," Amelia said.

"What the bastard told you?" Ace got up from his chair and started taking steps towards her.

"Who you are talking about?" Amelia asked her.

"The bastard Joe Hill. What did he tell you? I saw you both talking" Ace asked her again in his hard tone.

"Nothing," Amelia said.

"Don't you dare to lie to me. Speak up before I make you" Ace said gritting his teeth. He felt like killing Joe when he saw them talking in lift through the CCTV footage. He felt something was burning inside her seeing them together.

"He asked me to go on a date with him," Amelia said as his tone was scaring her.

"What did you say?" Ace asked Amelia gritting his teeth angrily.

"I said he asked me to go on a date with him," Amelia said.

Ace fisted his hand in anger hearing this.

"Say no" Ace said.

"What?" Amelia asked him

"You have heard me. Say no to him" Ace said.

"No. I will not. You can not decide this for me" Amelia shouted at him.

Ace took dangerous steps towards her.

Amelia took back steps immediately.

But soon her back hit against the glass wall.

Ace smirked at her.

Amelia looked up and gasped in shock when she found him dangerously close to her.

Ace put his hand on either side of her.

"Say no to him baby girl, before I kick him out of my company" Ace said in a husky tone.

Amelia gulped in nervousness.

"What if I won't?" Amelia managed to ask him.

Ace smirked and put his head on her neck then spoke up in a husky tone, "Always remember this baby girl, you are mine. Mine to touch. Mine to love. And I will not let any other touch what only belongs to me. I won't mind to burn them alive. Trust me, baby girl, I am very possessive when it comes to my things. If you want to see him alive say no otherwise I will not be responsible for his condition"

Amelia heard the dangerous threat which was hidden in his soft husky tone. Her heart started beating hard.

"Do you get me, baby girl?" Ace asked him.

And, Amelia nodded her head immediately.

"Good. Now go back to your cabin. And from today you will eat lunch in my cabin with me. Clerk will bring our lunch" Ace said and went towards his chair.

His hard tone was enough for Amelia to understand that she can't argue with him.

Amelia just nodded and left his cabin.

When she left, Ace closed his eyes and ran his hand roughly in his hair.

"What is happening to me? Why am I behaving like I am her real boyfriend who can not see his girlfriend with another male?" Ace muttered being frustrated.

"Real or not. She can not date anyone" Ace whispered and opened his eyes then started working again.
