Chapter 11

 

Author's POV

Amelia was reading a book named 'Belongs to the Heartless Billionaire' on b*****t and cursing the hero for hurting the heroine.

"You dog, cat, monkey, donkey, stupid, how can you hurt her like this that too on your wedding night? You will rot in hell. You are stupid. You are a heartless monster. I will not leave now" Amelia was busy in cursing the hero when her phone started ringing.

Amelia picked up her phone being annoyed.

"Who?" Amelia almost shouted as the person disturbed her.

"Hello, Ma'am. Am I talking to Ms. Amelia Williams?" The receptionist asked.

"Yes. Who are you?" Amelia asked her.

"Good evening  Ma'am. I am speaking from King Corporation. Congratulations ma'am.  You are selected for the personal assistant post. You can join from tomorrow. Be here 6 in the morning" The receptionist said.

Hearing this, Amelia got shocked.

"Ma'am are you there?" The receptionist asked.

"Y. Yes. Thank you. Thank you so much" Amelia said being so happy.

"It is my pleasure ma'am," The receptionist said and disconnected the call.

"Mommy, daddy" Amelia shouted happily and ran outside.

Jenny and Matthew were sitting in the living room when Amelia entered there being so excited and happy.

"What happened baby?" Jenny asked her.

"Mommy, daddy, I got the job," Amelia said happily.

Hearing this, Matthew and Jenny smiled.

"I am proud of you honey," Matthew said and kissed her head.

"Thank you, daddy. I will join tomorrow" Amelia said and they nodded at her.

And on the other side

At Office

Ace completed his work and stood up.

He went towards the window and looked down. He saw the gate was clear. There was no reporter there.

Ace sighed in relief and he took his suit and car key then left his cabin.

It was 9 at night. Everyone had already left. Ace entered his private lift and pressed the ground bottom.

When the lift reached the ground floor, Ace came out.

He went towards his car. His driver opened the car door for him.

Ace got in.

The driver took the driving seat and started the car.

Ace took out his phone. Since morning, his phone was in silent mode. He turned on silent mode because he was receiving non stop phone calls and messages. All of them wanted to know about his nonexisting  girlfriend.

Ace opened his phone and saw 300 missed calls and 235 messages.

Ace deleted them without reading and put his phone in his pocket again then leaned against the seat and closed his eyes.

After some time the driver stopped the car and spoke up, "Sir"

Ace opened his eyes and saw the car was standing a little far from his home.

"Why did you stop the car here?" Ace asked him.

"Sir, media," The driver said and pointed towards his mansion.

Ace looked forward and found his mansion gate was full of reporters.

Ace closed his eyes being so annoyed.

He took out his phone and called the security head.

"Sir" The security head picked up the call.

"Where are you?" Ace asked him.

"At duty sir," The security head said.

"If you are on duty then what are these useless reporters doing outside of my mansion? Throw them away before I kick you out of your job. You have two minutes" Ace said and disconnected the call.

Soon Ace saw the mansion gate opening and some security guards came out and started clearing the mess.

When the reporters denied to leave the place, security head fired in the air.

The reporters ran inside their cars and drove away.

"Go now," Ace said to the driver.

The driver nodded and started the car.

The gateman opened the gate immediately when he noticed it was Ace's car.

The driver parked the car in front of the mansion.

Ace got down and entered the mansion.

When he entered the living room he found his parents and Nick were talking to each other.

As soon as Stella's eyes fell on Ace, she opened her mouth to say something but Ace cut her off.

"Please mom, not now," Ace said and went upstairs.

He entered his room and removed his suit and threw it on the couch.

"You started it, baby. Now you have to stop it" Ace whispered then removed his shirt.

He went towards his closet and took out a towel then entered the washroom.

After taking a long shower, he wrapped the towel around his waist then came out.

Ace opened his closet and wore a shirt and loose pants.

Then he came out wiping his hair.

When he was done, he heard a knock at his door.

"Come in," Ace said and a maid entered his room.

"Sir, dinner is ready. Everyone is waiting for you" The maid said.

"Okay. Clean the room" Ace said and left the room.

The maid nodded and picked up the clothes from the couch and left the room.

Ace took a seat next to Nick then served himself.

"How was work?" Hunter asked Ace.

"Good. Dad" Ace said.

"No business talking at the dining table," Stella said.

"Okay, honey," Hunter said and kissed her head. Stella blushed. Her cheeks went red like a tomato.

"Don't turn like this, or I will end up eating your cheek. Although I have no problem but you will be embarrassed later" Hunter whispered near her ear.

Stella hit her arm.

Ace and Nick smiled at them. It had been 30 years since they got married but they still behaved like a newly married couple. It was their love that never let them be old.

"Guys, we are here," Ace said.

"We know young man. I heard my company became a flower shop in a day. Is it true?" Hunter asked playfully and Ace choked his food.

Nick chuckled and rubbed his hand on Ace's back.

"What do you mean?" Stella asked her husband.

"Nothing mom" Ace spoke up before Hunter said something.

Before Stella could ask something to Hunter, Nick changed the topic.

"I am thinking of shifting all of my businesses here," Nick said.

"Really?" Stella asked being so excited.

"Yes," Nick said.

"You made the right decision, son" Hunter said.

"It is good," Ace said then they finished the dinner and went to their rooms.

Ace entered his room and took his laptop then started making a deal.

            Rules You Must Need To Follow

1. You have to come to the office before the CEO and have to leave with him.

2. You have to accompany him in business parties and on business trips.

3. Dealing with correspondence and phone calls.

 

4. Managing diaries to write down important information.

5. Organising meetings and appointments, other schedules.

6. Booking and arranging travel, transport, and accommodation.

7. Organising events and conferences.

Ace stopped after he was done with the formal rules.

He looked at the laptop screen and saw he has written 32 rules.

Ace sighed then started typing again.

33. You have to be his girlfriend for six months.

33. In those six months you cannot date anyone.

35. You have to talk nicely in public places.

36. If you break any of those rules the CEO has the right to sack you from this job.

37. If you leave this job before 3 years of your joining you have to pay 5 million dollars. And if you became  unable to pay the amount, the CEO can sue you.

Ace smiled and mailed it to his manager and told him to make it in a formal deal.

Ace closed his laptop and laid down on the bed.

Next day

Amelia woke up hearing the alarm. She looked at the clock and saw it was 5.

Amelia got down from the bed and entered the washroom taking a towel.

She took a shower then wrapped the towel around her and came out.

Taking her dress from the closet she wore the dress and looked at the clock.

It is 5.30

Amelia took her bag and left her room.

Her mom was setting the dining table.

"Dear, eat your breakfast," Jenny said to her.

"No, Mom. If I start eating now, I will be late" Amelia said and picked up an apple then kissed her mother's cheek and left for the office.

Luckily Amelia got a taxi. She told him the address.

After some time the taxi stopped in front of the King Corporation.

Amelia paid the driver then got down.

She looked at the gigantic building then entered the office.

She saw everyone was working.

"Wow..it is not even 6 and they are working. Are they people or robots?" Amelia wondered and went towards the reception section.

"Good morning Ma'am. How can I help you?" The receptionist asked her politely

"Hi. I am here for the PA job. Today is my first day" Amelia said to her.

"Oh, our manager already told me about you. Ma'am, you need to sign a contract" The receptionist said and put a file in front of her.

"What is in the contract?" Amelia asked her.

"Some rules that you have to follow," The receptionist said.

"Does everyone sign it before joining?" Amelia asked her.

"Yes. Ma'am" The receptionist said.

"Okay then," Amelia said and signed the contract without reading.

"Congratulations Ma'am. Now you become your employee officially. Welcome to King Corporation. Ma'am CEO is waiting for you. Go to the 55 floors" The receptionist said.

"Thank you," Amelia said and saw the workers were leaving.

"Why they are leaving?" Amelia asked the receptionist.

"They are night-time workers, ma'am. The day workers will come in five minutes. Also, I have to leave now. The day shift receptionist will come soon." The receptionist said.

"Oh. Thank you" Amelia said and went towards the lift.

She entered the lift and pressed 55 floors.

When the lift reached the floor, Amelia came out and saw some workers were working.

Amelia went towards the CEO room.

She stood in front of the door and took a deep breath then knocked at the door.

"Come in" Came a husky voice from inside.

Amelia entered the room and found her boss was standing in front of the window.

His back was facing her.

"You are one minute late Ms. Williams," Her boss said.

"One minute late! Like seriously! Who counts one minute" Amelia wondered.

"I am sorry sir. It will not happen again" Amelia said.

"Better. Did you read the contract carefully?" Her boss asked her.

"No sir. It was a formal contract which everyone has to sign, so I did not read it" Amelia said.

"Well. Good for you. As you are PA now, so it is your duty to solve my problem." Her boss said.

"Sure sir," Amelia said.

"Pick up the magazine from my table and look at the picture. I want that girl." Her boss said.

Hearing this, Amelia got confused but nonetheless, she picked up the magazine and looked at the picture.

As soon as her eyes fell on the picture, Amelia felt someone poured a full basket of ice on her head.

Amelia gulped down in fear. When she looked at the man she got another shock.

The man was no other than the person whose car glass she broke in anger.

She kissed the same person that night.

"Amy baby, say bye to the world. You are dead" Amelia muttered.

"The face seems familiar. Doesn’t it?" Her boss turned and asked her.

The magazine fell from her hand in shock.

"Nice to meet you, Ms. Amelia Williams. Welcome to my company" Ace said and sat down on his chair where Amelia kept looking at him with shock.
