Lying lifeless on the ground was my only option as I tried to catch my breath. My senses returned just in time to hear Octoria talking to Shelliot. My eardrums managed to make out some of the words, like Queen, pod, news, death, sorry. After which there were only splashes, signifying that she was leaving.
If this was some other time, I would have demanded clarification for her and Octoria's conversation. Right now, rest was all that was needed.
Guardian Shelliot then appeared over my head, she bent closer, wearing an expression that stated she was sorry. "I know that was awful, but as I promised, it'll all get better."
A girl could only hope. There was no way I would make it here alive if it all was worse than the rumors.
She disappeared again and reappeared, dangling a few garments. "Come on, let's get you dressed."
<After what seemed like a long walk, we arrived at the 'Prince's Castle'. I had to say, the creation was past the term, beautiful. Items were illuminating the object, giving it a glorious feel. Its walls were transparent. I was in awe at how I could be able to view the inside at a small distance. There was a vast amount of figures moving about inside. It even sang aloud, spilling its noise across the air. I was about to ask what creation created such a sound but thought otherwise when two creatures walked towards us."Those are the Prince's friends, companions," Shelliot explained. "That one," She pointed at the goddess with the flowing yellow hair, "Sophia, and that one next to her is Alex."Wow!Sophia had the features of a mermaid. Her glowing yellow hair f
Sophia and Alex were in the middle of copying what was on the mirror earlier. At that moment, my throat felt hoarse. Not wanting to disturb them, I walked outside, to where I saw a group of guys surrounded by a mist-like fog."Hey?" the tall guy greeted, fog escaping his mouth as he talked."Water?" I asked. He tapped his friend's shoulder. "Nick, get her some water."The friend turned and brown eyes slid over my body before he nodded and left. The other guy handed me the stick he had in his mouth, which I took, putting it in mine.He laughed. "No, Bee, you gotta breathe it in like this."He took it
This was beautiful. The sun peeked above the ocean, red and orange sprinkled across the sea surface, and the sky.I leaned against the balcony railing.I could never live with myself if I destroyed such a thing. Such beauty. My palm was scrubbed over my face.'She' was wrong. They were wrong. I would never… I could never destroy the world. I could never hurt the ones I love. I would never let my powers get that out of control. Not like last time.A replay of what happened with Alex was forced to the forefront of my mind. I was naive and reckless. I won't let there be a repeat of that incident. An arm snaked around my waist. A soft cheek p
A bubble of water rose from the pool and molded itself into a spear before turning solid ice. Shelly appeared casual as if there was nothing wrong with what she was doing. This was one of the reasons I couldn't live a normal life. This woman was sucking every ounce of normalcy out of my life. She arched a brow. "Your powers have grown."I straightened at the accusation. However, like every other time I recovered just as fast as her attacks. My shoulders bounced. "It's water." My gaze flashed to the spear in Shelly's hand. "Like boiling tea."The weapon glistened and hardened."Hmmm," was all she said; blue eyes on her spear.
"Seriously, that kid gives me more migraines than a regular person should get." Shelliot stormed into the room. A strand of hair was pinched between two fingers. "I even saw gray hair this morning.""Yeah, well it's what he does," Alex confirmed, following in her footsteps.Their feet moved in the most memorizing motions I had ever seen.Shelliot sat on a stool in front of the smooth raised area. A similar box to what Alex had last night was placed before her. While neatly plucked eyebrows pinched together. "I've tried to call him several times. Yet, still no answer."Alex flopped down on the seat next to me with a sigh. "He's not answering my calls either."Sophia frowned, but it disappear
"Hello?" Alex answered in the communication box he called a phone. "Yeah, man, I'm filling the pool as we speak." He listened then responded with, "Oh, yeah, she left to go grocery shopping a little while ago."He was referring to Shelliot. She said something about grocery shopping. This was when land people went to other buildings with lots and lots of food. No one went hunting. Their food was prepared with their creations. All anyone had to do was buy it with something called money. It was fascinating.Alex pressed his lips together with narrowed eyes. "Yeah, it's been two fucking days now, dude. Two!" Two fingers were raised. "I mean, I don't want to be the bad guy here, man, but tell the old man that you have a very controlling guardian that's about to lose her shit if she doesn't see you by a certain time. I really can't keep covering your ass."
I hated transformations. It was at the top of the list of things I hated about land. Not that the list was long, but still. At least, now I didn't have to go through that awful experience until another week from now.Yep, the only silver lining in my dilemma was each time I transformed, the longer I could go without being in the water. It was like I was training my body, or letting it adapt to the changes.Yay, me! Ugh!I wished I didn't have to experience this, but unfortunately, it was a small price I had to pay for saving my family, my kingdom. My mother had gone through it, and now it was my turn. I couldn't fail them."There! All done," Sophia confirme
"Are you okay, man?" I asked Alex.Blue eyes stared at me with a quizzical expression. It then went back to the stairs. Alex's feet did light taps while he fidgeted on the couch.I clasped my hands. "Alex, you better tell me what the hell is wrong with you. You've been throwing glances at the stairs every few seconds."He looked at me confused. "Wait, what?"After what seemed like a minute, realization spread across his face. After which he released a nervous laugh. "I'm fine, man. I'm good."He could have fooled me.I eyed him. Then, he did the most annoying thing. He glanced at the stairs again. An exasperated sigh slipped past my lips, and I grabbed my glass w
Marvelon's story has come to an end. I had so much fun with this story. It has blossomed so much since it started. The first draft was way less complicated than this final piece. The original version was a love story about Aqualia and Marvelon. However, as I wrote, the panster in me came alive. New characters joined the story and the old characters played new parts. Their lives were molded differently. Gosh, most of them probably hate me for all the tribulations I have put them through.Oh, I bet Marvelon does. Aqualia might be. A little. Oh, my gosh, since we are on the subject, I can only imagine what is going through Aquant and Torus's heads. 'All my possessions for the head of the author'. Yep, or maybe they would threaten to find me. Oh, yeah, that's it.Still, they are my babies. Torus is my favorite character in the entire story, and I thoroughly enjoyed the scene where he and Guardian Shelliot sparred in the cave at the Antarctican Manor—yes, I am the psycho who enjoyed reading
"Sorry I'm late, guys," Fel swam into the cave. "Prince Torus has become such a big baby these days."I never thought I would hear those words. Baby and Torus in the same sentence. Though he and Sophia mated, he acted aloof to the entire situation. If it had not been for Sophia and Mitch, I wouldn't have thought the guy would be mated. He was just that kind of asshole. Sophia didn't seem to mind being mated to him or Mitch. I mean, come on, she chased after an ass like me for years. I just wished she would have gotten a better ending rather than Mitch and Torus. After all, she had been through, she deserved so much more.Mitch sighed. "Where is he now?""He's in my chambers, sleeping," Fel answered."What's wrong with him?" I probed, looking for answers.Aqualia's shoulders bounced."He's rejecting his coupling urges," Fel responded. "The more he does it, the more he's losing control. And, a merger losing control is n
My heartbeat pounded in my ears. When the executive stated that the King needed my presence in the King and Queen's quarters, I panicked. Mitchalus has time and time again pointed out he had no interest in sleeping in the same quarters. This was the main reason we avoided this area. It was not meant for us. Which would explain my nervousness.Mitchalus was not the type of person to change his mind out of the blue. He would fight it until I submitted. However, before he did no such thing. Instead, he helped my ruined Kingdom to go under construction. It had to mean he accepted where we were and decided to let me go. For some odd reason, I was heartbroken. It was a much more wrenching feeling than anything else.Mitchalus gave up. It should have made me happy. All I ever wanted was to be rid of this Kingdom and ruled in mine. Now, Mitchalus was giving me the chance to do so and it was like my world was ending.Stupid girly feelings!I had ho
"Are you sure you want to do this, Mom?" I asked as she got ready to leave. It was not that I didn't want her to go. That was the plan, after all. But my visit home was different. There was a tension there that was odd. My house was always a cheery place. It made me feel comfortable and safe. However, when I went home, that calm was gone. It was as if everyone was holding on with a thin line.I couldn't tell if it was me. My relationship with Fel was not too stellar. She was different. No longer was she shy or sweet. She only stuck around because she needed my help to free Craig, and she was not afraid to let me know. Around everyone else, it would appear that she was the perfect mate. Behind the scenes, she was a monster. Too headstrong and determined to do things her way.She couldn't wait to get away from me. The more she rebelled, the more I craved her. I needed help, it was clear with my interest in women. Still, I couldn't help myself. Fel subm
My heart rate went off the charts. A chill ran down my spine. The anger in Fel's eyes had me paralyzed in the spot. This was the first time I have ever seen her and she did not look innocent and shy. The determination and anger were aimed at me. It didn't matter, though. All I wanted was to kiss her. For some strange reason, she was way hotter than before. It could be the aquamarine dress. It was too provocative to be considered such. The majority of her breasts were spilled out from the deep V neck design. The two slits on each of her thighs were enough to keep my eyes on her movements. If that was not enough, the material was thin to invite every heterosexual male. Yet, it was thick enough to hold everything from the viewer. Her hair was down. The crown was a perfect addition to the colors in her hair. Her hair had gotten longer. It swayed from her hip with the wind."Fel," I breathed. She hissed. "How dare you! How dare you!"
"We'll go to see her now," I ordered Amoria.Time waited on no man. I didn't have time to waste. The sooner we found the Seer, the better things were."Aren't you supposed to be resting?" Amoria observed me. "Your mother just died."If I had not been smart and severed my connection to that mermaid, I would have to be resting now. The excruciating pain would have been enough to keep me bedrisen for at least a few days.I pushed from my throne and swam up beside her. "She was no mother of mine. She doesn't deserve that title. I refused to be held back by such a mermaid.""Hmmm." Amoria opened a portal before us. "You really have changed. It's kind of scary. Too bad, I know how to handle crazy bitches."A corner of my mouth twitched at the comment. "Look who's talking? You're the craziest of us all.""Damn right about that."Neither of us moved as the hole got bigger. I didn't trust Amoria one
The three guards never moved or said anything. One of them was keeping a secret, yet none of them wanted to talk. I shifted my tail, getting more comfortable. If they thought they would get away with using their powers against Craigleon, they had the next thing coming."Craigleon was the best person in this Kingdom," I admitted. "I'm sure all three of you can agree. He must have helped each of you in one way or another. He helped me in more ways than one. He taught me things my parents were too busy to teach. He was patient and kind. The kind of person that you couldn't help loving."One encounter with my brother changed many lives. He was a beautiful man, inside and out. Mother's masterpiece. It was no secret she loved him more. If he had been born a girl, she would have tossed me aside from the very beginning. Maybe I wouldn't have been born."When I was younger and scared Craigleon was the one who snuck in my chambers and sang to me until I fell a
Everyone bowed at my arrival to the Bedding Cave. This place was essential to our Kingdom. The cave rested beside The Bedding. Once the star has been passed on from one Queen to the next, the previous Queen would be taken to this cave. Here she could relax and pass away in peace. The Bedding is next to it, which helped to rest her shell of a body there once she passed on to the ancestral world.Father was the only one in the Mother Queen chamber. The minute he noticed me, he moved from the chair beside Mother's bed."Fesel, are you okay?" he asked. Though his lips moved, his facial expression held no ounce of concern. If I had not known the other side of my father, his behavior would have fooled me like it did everyone else. However, I knew what he was like as a Father. And, this was not it. The spark he once had was gone. I needed to know what he did that caused him to look this dead. I needed to know the truth. What was going on? This was why I nee
My eyes fluttered open. It took me a while to recall my current situation. I was a Queen, my mother was on the brink of death, and here I was. My heartbeat pounded in my temples. I swung my tail from the bed and sat up."Your Majesty, you are awake," the dark sorcerer rushed to me. "You gave me quite the scare."Oh right. I sought out the dark sorcerer to get rid of all connections to everyone close to me. Mother was on the brink of death and I didn't want to feel that useless heartache. Therefore, I had it all taken away. I shouldn't have to suffer if any of them die. None of them took my pain when I suffered. None of them."I thought you might have died for sure," the dark sorcerer went on. "I warned you about that spell. It is a miracle you are still alive. Breaking a connection with one person is as much stress on your body, much less three people all at once."The pain was excruciating enough to cause me to lose consciousness. I
