"There is no need to suffer silently and there is no shame in seeking help."

After almost an hour flight from Santorini to Athens, Sofia got off the airplane, walked out of the airport and went straight to find a taxi. She gave the driver an address and asked to be driven there. Her heart was beating really loudly.
She couldn’t believe she was doing it for real. One might argue it would be easier for her to contact her parents and had them involved in her plan, but she knew those two. They were good lawful folks.
Surely they wouldn’t agree with her plan and chose to bring Christian to jail instead. It would be too easy for him, she needed to do this so she could be satisfied at the end of the day.
Almost half an hour later, she arrived in front of an old style mansion which she once visited when she was a child. She paid the driver and got out, walking toward the gate and started pressing the bell.
She could hear a man’s voice in Greek but she didn’t understand, so she spoke English instead.
“My name is Sofia. I am here to see Sir Atlas Agavos. There was a brief moment of silence before the gate was opened and she entered the front yard.
The mansion itself was quite spacious but the front yard was something else, it took her some time before she finally reached the front door and knocked it.
Not long after, a middle aged woman dressed in maid attired opened the door for her and spoke in broken English asking Sofia to follow her.
Sofia did and the maid led her to a room which could only be described as a study.
Within the room, there was a man who smoked cigar. He had thick brown hair and brows, his nose was a little bit crooked but it didn’t take away from his beauty.
He had high cheekbones and deep set eyes with long lashes. His complexion was on the lighter side of tan and he was wearing a khaki suit with navy blue tie and burgundy pocket square.
He dismissed the maid and it was just the two of them inside the room.
“Who are you? Why are you looking for my grandfather?” The man asked her. His voice was deep and husky.
Compared to him, Sofia looked like a golden retriever with blue eyes who just drowned in mud. It made her feel slightly embarrassed but she straightened her back and looked at him with determined eyes.
“My name is Sofia, Sofia De Laurent. Your grandfather is a close friend of my late grandfather. I want to ask him for a help, he’s the only person who can help me at this moment.” She told him.
The man looked at her with a complicated look as he turned off his cigar and turned his attention to her.
“My grandfather passed away last year.” He replied. Hearing this, Sofia looked so devastated. The old man used to visit her in Paris a few times when she was younger and she saw him as her second grandfather.
She never received the news of his death since they had not remained in contact for the past few years but she couldn’t believe he had passed away.
“Is your grandfather, Pierre De Laurent?” He asked.
“Yes, he is, how do you know that?” She asked.
“He’s my godfather.” The man replied. Sofia was confused. She didn’t know that her grandfather had a godson.
He never mentioned it before. She also wasn’t familiar with the man in front of her. She didn’t know who he was until he revealed himself.
“Sofia, hm. I remember you as a child, but I have forgotten about your existence until you stepped in my house today.” She was confused for a moment. They had met each other before?
“My name is Dion, Dion Agavos.” That name didn’t sound too familiar to her. She has been to the place before but she didn’t recall ever meeting him in person.
“I am eight years older than you, so probably you have no idea who I am but I have seen more than you do and know more about the relation between my family and yours. Now, for the sake of our family good relations, tell me, what is it that you want?” He asked.
Sofia contemplated for a moment about whether or not she could trust this man, however, she realized she didn’t really have any other choices.
“I want revenge.” Hearing her words, Dion’s eyes widened a bit but he decided to remain silent, allowing her to elaborate on the story.
“My husband shot me on our honeymoon and left me to die in the ocean. I want to get back to him. For that reason, I cannot go back to my family and tell them everything because they would just send him straight to prison. I don’t want him to have it that easy. I want to make him suffer.” She replied back.
Dion looked at Sofia. This woman who looked so sweet like an angel bore a look that could only be described as pure hatred in her eyes.
He wondered for a moment if he should help her.
After all, her request was not an easy one to fulfill.
However, he didn’t have the heart to just drive her away from the mansion when she had come to him first before her parents.
It meant the desire for revenge in her heart must be so strong she was willing to take the more difficult path to obtain it.
“Okay, I will help you.” He stated. For a brief moment, he called himself crazy for even uttering those words and the next thing that came out of his mouth would surprise even himself.
“However, there is only one way I can help you. If you agree to this, I will give you every resource you need to conduct your revenge.” He proposed.
“What is it?” She asked.
“You must marry me and become my wife.” Sofia was stunned by the proposal. She thought this man must be insane. How could she marry someone she barely even knew.
“Of course, this marriage is a mere contract marriage. But I cannot waste my time and resource for a complete stranger. If you are my wife, I will at least have a reason to help you.” Sofia thought about it for a moment.
She just got married less than two weeks ago with a man she spent two years with before she was shot. Could she really marry another man so soon after she escaped near death experience?
“If you are concerned I will treat you like a hostage, you don’t need to worry, you will have a say in the marriage contract, I will also want something from you once the contract ends. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement for both of us.” He persuaded.
“What do you want from me?” She asked him.
“De Laurent’s stock has increased significantly in the past few years. Once you inherit the company and become the owner, I wish to have five percent of the entire company’s stock. You will give it to me in exchange for my help. I also want to become one of the board member in your company later on.”
She thought about it for a moment. Five percent, that number didn’t scare her at all, it sounded like a good deal and a tiny price to pay for her revenge.
“You can reject this, but if you do, there is nothing I can do to help you.” He followed.
“No, I will accept it. Let’s start working on the contract right away. The faster we get married and get all the formalities over with, the faster I can deal with those people.”
“Okay, if that’s what you want. But first, you need to freshen up a little.” He turned on a button on his desk and said something in Greek. Not long after, the maid from before returned and asked Sofia to follow her.
“I will see you again later.” Dion told her.
The maid brought her to one of the bedroom in there and prepared the bath for her.
“You can clean up.” The maid said still with that broken English. Sofia thanked her and cleaned herself up. It was the first time in a few days she had time for bath. She was instantly relaxed.
The wound on her shoulder was still painful so she was cautious to not make it worse, but she left the bathroom feeling more refreshed than before.
When she walked out of there, a piece of lilac shoulder less dress was already placed for her in the bed. She didn’t have any other choice but to wear that since she had not changed her clothes since she left the hospital.
Much to her surprise, it really complimented her skin tone. She liked it. It made her look like herself again.
“Okay, now what?”
"It is impossible to unsign a contract, so do all your thinking before you sign."-Warren Buffet-***Dion was reading a book when he heard a knock. It was the maid who informed him that it was time for him to have dinner. He nodded and dismissed her.Since Sofia’s arrival in the place, he found it difficult to concentrate on anything because he kept on thinking about his decision earlier. It was time for him to meet her again and he needed to be firm about it.When he entered the dining room, he saw her with the lilac dress he assigned to her and she looked so much better after getting all cleaned and dressed up.It made her look less like a sad golden retriever and more like the charming angelic beauty that she was.“You look so much better.” He said as he took a seat right across her.“Thank you, now I feel somewhat like a human again.” She replied with a small s

If you use the name Sofia, it will be easier for people to find out about who you are and it will get in the way of your revenge plan.” He advised Sofia. The thought has also crossed her mind before. She knew she needed to change her identity completely for this plan to succeed, she just didn’t know how she could do that without getting caught.“I know some people who can create new documents for you. New ID, licenses, passport, everything. All you need to do is to give me a new name and a new identity that you want to create and I can help you to fabricate your entire background and identity.” He told her.Sofia raised her brow. Just what kind of man was Dion, exactly? Why did he have these
"There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage."-Martin Luther-***The sound of church bell rang in the air as Sofia was walking toward the altar, holding a bouquet of Calla lilies in her hand.It felt strange walking on a wedding carpet again so soon after her first one but this time, she didn’t feel nervous at all.She looked straight toward Dion who was already waiting for her on the other side and he reached out his hand to help her get up the stairs.Once she was on the altar, he gently removed her veil, revealing her face. She was not smiling or frowned. The only expression on her face was that of a stoic woman. He had a similar look on his face that anyone who saw them at the moment would have guessed that these two were not having a wedding out of love.Fortunately for them, the only people who attended their private wedding were

It’s the opposite, I am eager to start the plan.”Sofia replied as she applied a bold red lipstick that complimented her really well. Just like the night when she almost died, she chose to wear a ruby red dress with matching ruby earrings and necklace. They were different in style, but these should be enough to act as subtle hints for Christian and a reminder of what he did. When she was about to put on her necklace, Dion approached her and gently placed his hand on her hand which was holding the necklace.“Let me help you put it on.” He picked it up and helped her put on the necklace. He was standing so close behind her she could feel his suit touchi
"Let it not be said that I was silent when they needed me."-William Wilberforce-***All three heads were turned toward the source of the voice and it was none other than Dion.He stood behind her and placed both of his hands around her shoulder protectively. He easily towered over her and his sharp gaze went straight to Christian and Layla.“Hm, this was not part of the plan, but I guess I should just go along with this.” She thought. Sofia put on a smile and placed her hand on his hand before answering.“Oh, it’s nothing, love. I just accidentally spilled some wine over this gentleman’s suit. I was offering a laundry payment but he refused it.”“Is that so? Well, my wife must be a little clumsy earlier, I hope you can forgive her.” Dion slightly emphasized on the word ‘wife’ which made both Christian and Layla a little taken aback and relieved at

Hamilton-***“Good morning, Sofia.” Sofia woke up and was a bit stunned to see Dion’s face beside her. Ah, it was the third day they were in Paris but she still couldn’t get used to sleeping on the same bed as him.Dion and his family owned a few properties worldwide, including Paris. However, the one they had in there was a one-bedroom apartment. It was spacious, but didn’t have that many rooms, which was the reason why they had to share it during their stay in there.“Good morning, Dion.” Sofia removed the blanket and immediately got up. It was a bit awkward to lay in the same bed as him for so long. They were husband and wife, but after the kiss they shared during their wedding ceremony, they never kissed or touched each other in a sexual manner.

He checked in and the two of them headed to their room. The beautiful golden and white themed room which once belonged to the French royalty really made her feel special. The amount of details put in the room was absolutely insane. The wall on their bedroom was not paint, it was made of fabric with details of couple and hot air balloons. Same with the chair used in the room.It must have taken a lot to create such a beautiful and intricate space like that. For a moment, she forgot about all of her troubles and decided that she would spend the day having a good time with him.The palace has only opened its boutique hotel in 2021 so it was quite an experience to be able to stay there so soon.“Let

I need you.” Dion said as he started kissing her neck.“Dion, Astro is sleeping, he needs to be breastfed soon, what if we are too noisy and it wakes him up?” She asked.“You’re kidding. He’s literally in another room. Come on, Sofia. I want you so much. Besides, we have hired private nannies for him. If he’s hungry, they can just bottle fed him.” He reasoned before he started kissing her on the lips.Sofia felt a little odd since they had not done it for so long, but she eventually gave in and the two of them ended up doing it.However, just as they finished the first round and about to move on to the second round, there was a knock on the door.“Sir, sorry to disturb you but you have a guest.” It was one of the maid. She wondered. Dion and

She couldn’t believe she was finally a mother. It was a role she was always looking forward to become.“Congratulations, it’s a boy.” She told her. The doctor cleaned the baby up and handed him for Sofia to hold. The moment she held the boy in her arms, Sofia felt this deep connection with the baby and all the pain she felt in the past eight hours just disappeared. It was replaced by a strong sense of happiness and maternal instincts.“Hello, hands
"A bride at her second marriage does not wear a veil, she wants to see what she is getting."-Helen Rowland-***Dion and Sofia was preparing their wedding and although they were already legally married as husband and wife, they wanted to do something a bit more special.A second wedding which would be attended by their family and friends. This wedding would be quite different from the one they had before. This time it was also based on love and witnessed by other members of the family. They already had this planned before and it was finally coming true.Sofia had her entire family flown to Athens just for this moment and Dion also had his family members attending. They were a little surprised to get the invitation but they still came to support him.None of them questioned anything because they trusted his judgement and quite frankly they were all clueless about the Sofia situation.By the time

It was pretty wild. Sofia never imagined she would get so much love and positive reactions for her pregnancy. She understood if they were touched but their reactions were just above and beyond. It made her feel a little relieved because she knew when she gave birth, the baby would become one of the most loved person in the world.“Do you know the gender of the baby yet?” Ines asked her.“No, we’re going to check for it next week and do another checkup as well. "My heart is and always will be yours."-Jane Austen-***After spending a little over a week in Thailand, the couple headed back to Athens using first class. She stayed home and decided to spend her day unpacking everything and organizing they bought from the trip.It was quite an experience, to find out that she was pregnant during her trip was one of the moment she would never forget. The two of them agreed to have their first hospital checkup in three days and during that time, Dion promi
