Chapter 432 Aria Proves Lily Wrong

ผู้เขียน: Night Eleven
Inside the Special Cases Unit's conference room, officers huddled around a screen, studying Philip.

"Did the boss send him here?"

"Yeah. She said that he's special and can help with solving the case."

"When is she coming back? Has she said anything about that?"

"She said after everything at school is settled."

"Settled? Who are you kidding? What does she need an education for?"

"You don't believe me? Take a look at this."

Everyone in the room fell silent as they pored over the chat record

  • The Heiress' Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call   Chapter 2187 Trying

"You're seeking death!" the apprentice on the left, Bramwell Gallow, shouted. In one swift motion, he yanked out a yellow Soulscript with his right hand. The Soulscript was covered in complicated arcane symbols written in cinnabar, each one humming with scorching spiritual energy."This is a Fire Talisman. Let's see how you like being burned alive!" His fingers flicked as he murmured an incantation. The Soulscript burst into orange flames as he hurled it toward Sam's back.At the same time, the apprentice on the right, Zev Crownhart, made his move. He produced an identical Fire Talisman and threw it without hesitation. The two flaming Soulscripts streaked through the air in intersecting arcs, sealing off Sam's path of escape.Fire Talismans were powerful weapons among the Suncrest Sect's apprentices. For anyone else, a direct hit would tear flesh at best and burn meridians at worst, leaving them completely unable to fight back. To the two apprentices, using a pair of Fire Talism

Sam rushed to the bedside and looked up at Aria, his eyes filled with urgent pleading. His body trembled with excitement as he blurted out, "Boss, take me with you! I'll beat them badly enough that they won't dare mess with us again. You won't even need to lift a finger. I can handle them all by myself!"As he spoke, he waved his fist in a show of bravado. A faint golden glow flickered across his palm.Meanwhile, Landon stood to the side in his crisp suit, looking down at Aria with a complicated expression. As the embodiment of the Divine Laws, he was keenly aware of cause and effect in the world. Aria's entanglement with the Suncrest Sect was a trial written into her fate. Thus, Landon couldn't intervene, even though Aria hadn't fully recovered. If he did, he would disrupt the balance of the Divine Laws and invite unpredictable consequences. There was always a price for angering the heavens. If that happened, it wouldn't be just him who suffered. Aria, Sam, and everyone connec

For the first time since Aria set foot on the path of revenge, she felt a sense of peace. Somebody was accompanying her on this path. She wasn't alone. Aria had never intended to use her government connections to seek revenge. After all, this was a personal matter. On the monitor beside her, her heart rate gradually evened out, mirroring the calm settling in her state of mind.Sam gripped her hand tightly, his face set with determination. "Boss, hurry and get better. When you're healthy, we'll get revenge together. We'll beat up everyone who bullied you."Aria looked at him, a faint smile appearing on her pale face. It was like ice melting after a long winter, breathtakingly beautiful. "Okay." That single word carried a thousand years of resentment and a promise for the future.Landon stood nearby, a slight smile tugging at his lips. He knew Chaos' memories would awaken someday, perhaps sooner rather than later. They would surface when the time was right. For now, all he want

Landon was on his feet immediately. His suit jacket pulled tight across his shoulders, creasing sharply with the sudden motion. His head snapped up, and something bright flickered through his dark eyes. He was already moving toward the nurse. "How is she?" "Mr. York, Ms. Carver's heart rate showed a brief fluctuation just now, and there was a slight response in her brain activity." The nurse kept her tone professional, but she could barely hide her excitement. "Dr. Deston is observing her inside. According to his preliminary assessment, these are signs she's waking up." Before she even finished, the ICU door swung open and Uriah stepped out. Pulling his mask down, his face carried a mix of relief and concern. "Mr. York, the patient is slowly regaining consciousness. However, the toll on her body was extreme. "When she wakes, she'll likely experience severe pain along her meridians, and possibly some short-term memory confusion. We have painkillers and sedatives standing by, b

The thought of how powerful Aria might be sat heavily with Sylas. She was starting to fall outside the box he'd put her in. With a flick of his wrist, every chess piece on the board slid back into position on its own, lining up in neat rows. His gaze was knife-sharp. Having lived through 1,000 years hadn't dulled him. If anything, they'd only made him more dangerous. "Put the word out. I want eyes on Aria and Landon at all times. Especially any contact they make with the Suncrest Sect or the Grayburn Sect." He added icily, "And run their backgrounds again—both of them. I want you to dig deeper this time. There's more to those two than we thought. "One more thing. They're almost certainly going after Suncrest and Grayburn next. Get our people moving. I want them backing up both sects before Aria gets there." "Yes, Mr. Strickland!" Jorrell answered respectfully and stood. He'd come in loud and frantic, but he left like a ghost disappearing into the estate. Sylas stood alone

One of the Greenshade Guild apprentices murmured, "But according to our ancestral teachings, our sect has been one of the great righteous sects for centuries…" The moment those words left his mouth, something in Aria loosened. It only lasted for a second. Relief washed over her, and then came the tears. Mixed with the blood on her face, tears rolled down her cheeks and hit the dirt below. She'd been reborn in this life for three reasons. She would find these sects, make every last person pay for what they did to Hollowlight, and find the souls of her fellow apprentices. Now that she'd found the Greenshade Guild, the Hollowlight Sect's name was finally clean. She sucked in a long breath and shoved everything she was feeling back down. When she spoke again, her voice was ice. "Good." As she stared straight at Lirael, there was nothing in her eyes but the promise of death. "You've admitted what you did, so it's time for you to settle the debt." Lirael went pale and threw him
