I called reception to ask if River was back to work and luckily she is. So I decided to make my luck today.
“Can you please book me in at nine please, this is Gabriel Lockwood” - I say on the phone
“Mr Lockwood. The restaurant closes at nine, it would be unfair for the staff to stay on for one guest” - she says. This girl has lost her brain somewhere. It’s the only thing I can think of.
“I have an important meeting to attend and I won’t be able to make it before nine, you can send the staff away and River can look after me, it is her job after all” - I say grinding my teeth.
“Sure sir” - she says and I end the call.
