"I'm toast. Who knew painting and putting together furniture took so much out of a person?" I sigh as I sit on the floor in the nursery.

Looking around, I'm proud of what me and the guys accomplished today. Being a part of a family like this is all I ever wanted and to know I can call them whenever they're needed still amazes me. With my dad and even my mom (who goes along with whatever he says), it wasn't about helping to help. It was about helping to keep track of what's owed.

Heaven Hill and the Walker family have never kept track of what they've done for me. That type of trust means everything to me.

"You wanna take a shower?" Lee asks as she stands across from me. "I think we could both use one. Maybe you more than me since you wouldn't let me do much."

"Massage my shoulders?"

"If that's what you want." She gives me a shy smile.

"Oh, that's exactly what I want." I hook my arm over her shoulders as we walk toward the bathroom.
