"It wasn’t so bad" Asmodeus said as he leaned on my shoulder "think well, it could be worse."

My eyes closed tightly.

I didn’t want Elaine to have to be near Samael, but all I got was a crude "pardon" from Calisto for what happened at the dance and a "possible permission" for the saint to remain by my side.

He had not really looked at my face, had not addressed the word to me, but to Asmodeus.

"I didn’t quite understand why I had to come" I grumbled and Asmodeus laughed.

"No? It was Callisto’s expression, of course."

I raised one of my eyebrows.

"You made me come just for that?"

The blond demon laughed.

"Unfortunately not, but... it helps him to feel guilty and miserable."

"Guilty and miserable, huh?"

Asmodeus nodded his head.

"Calisto cannot help that what you said was an incontestable truth. Do you think he agreed to "collaborate" for some other reason?"
