“Are you sure you’re fine? I don’t think Harry will stay quiet after what happened,” Linda said over the call. She had to take care of the guests thus she couldn’t follow Margot who left the venue.

Margot hummed. She was taking off her earrings in front of the mirror after turning on the speaker of her phone. “I’m fine, Mom. Thanks for taking care of the rest. You can continue having the party once the jerk left. I’d feel bad if the guests couldn’t enjoy the food and drink after coming tonight,” she replied and started brushing her hair.

“Don’t worry about it. Harry left after you did that’s why I’m calling. What if he loses his mind and does something to hurt you? I don’t want to repeat the incident before,” Linda sighed. “Make sure to lock the door and don’t let that guy inside.”

Margot frowned when she heard a loud thud downstairs. She locked the door but Harry still had a spare key to the house. “I think it’s too late. He’s back,” she told her stepmother.

Harry clenched his fists upon hearing his wife's statement. He was hoping she'd apologize for what he assumed she did as divorce wouldn't do him good.“No, Margot. We don't have to divorce. There should be a way to fix this. Trust me, we'll sort this out,” he said, hiding the condescending tone in his voice with a smile.Margot puffed and almost rolled her eyes. “No, Harry. Whether you like it or not, I'm divorcing you. There's no need to keep this marriage. It's meant to be broken before it even starts,” she responded, keeping her face straight.Harry slammed the table. “Listen to me, Margot. Arguing will not solve our problem. We should think of a better solution than divorce,” he insisted, clenching his jaw.“A solution?” Margot sneered. “Divorce is the solution, Harry. Our marriage failed, that's why we're having a divorce. You should know why we're doing this, right? That's because you cheated,” she continued, her eyes locked on him.Margot watched as Harry leaned back, he clicke

Margot stumbled out of bed as soon as the light of dawn filtered through the curtains. Her hand covered her mouth instinctively while making her way to the bathroom. She held her breath as the familiar surge of nausea hit her hard. Margot’s eyes widened when she barely made it on time.“Urk!”She retched, kneeling by the toilet, her body convulsing with each heave. The sound of her vomiting echoed through the walls of the bathroom, filling her ears with the painful grunts she had to overcome.Margot blinked her teary eyes when the nausea subsided. She lifted her shaking hand and reached out to flush the toilet. The water went wooshing, swirling and gurgling the remnants of her morning sickness.“I made it,” Margot huffed, leaning her back against the cool bathroom wall. She shut her eyes and took a deep breath, calming her nerves. The room fell silent once again, making her want to go back to bed.A few minutes later, Margot got up and looked at herself in the mirror. Her face was pal

I’m saying this because I’m worried about you. You’re not young anymore so it’s not going to be easy for you to remarry if you divorce Harry. Just imagine who else would want to have you as their wife? You have a problem, don’t you?”Margot frowned. “A problem?”“Harry’s love for you is genuine. If you don’t believe me, why else would he stay with you until now despite not giving him a child?” Emma took a sip from her coffee.
