The guest was actually afraid and sobered up somewhat as soon as Meg barked orders into her walkie-talkie.

Still, he snapped, "What, do you want a fight? I'm telling you—even Mr. Frankton has to call me boss when he sees me!"

After all, he really wanted to look good and refused to suffer anyone's contempt—especially not the manager of some insignificant karaoke bar.

Otherwise, his reputation would suffer a blow if word got out!

The guest was just trying to intimidate Meg with his bullshit and make her give up. If she just caved a little, he would do the same and leave right away.

Regrettably for him, Meg was not a pushover, as she knew the guest's deal. There was no way he knew Frank, and he was insignificant on top of that—Meg was acquainted with plenty of rich people herself, and while there were troublemakers among them too, they were not like this guest.
