Frank was panting even as he reached the highway, where the two cars he brought were parked.

Just as Frank was about to get in, however, the car exploded!

Both cars had been rigged with explosives beforehand and sent Frank flying!

"Bleurgh…"

Frank dropped to a roll, never letting go of Kat as he used his body to stop the horrific shockwave, as well as the shrapnel and flying pieces of metal that were the cars.

He could stop most with his pure vigor, but more tore through his defenses, stabbing into both their bodies.

"Blargh…"

As Frank dropped to the ground, coughing blood, Kat panicked as she saw Frank losing this badly for the first time.

Even though shrapnel was sticking out of her arm, she withstood the pain and cried, "M-Master Lawrence, just leave me and run! You can make it if you run away on your own… Don't wo
