ANDY'S POV

"OUCH!" I immediately rubbed my hip out of pain when I fell off my bed. I stood up while holding my hip and noticed that the sun is starting to shine through the window. So, I went out of my room to cook our breakfast.

It's easy to cook because it’s just me and my mom here at home. I sighed when I remember something, if that hadn't happened, Dad would still be here. I just shook my head, I don't want to be stressed today, the first day of school. I'm currently in the 12th grade by the way.

I took three eggs out of our refrigerator, the last of our stock. Now, our refrigerator is just filled with water. I immediately started frying the egg. After I cooked, I went to my Mom’s room which is next to mine. When I entered her room, she was still asleep. I noticed the tired look on her face. I once said to her that I can stop studying for a year and that I would help her sell street foods, the work we do to make a living. But she didn't agree, she said that she would take care of the selling so that I could finish my studies. It's a good thing that I'm a scholar, I don’t have to pay the expensive tuition fee.

I decided not to wake her up, so she could rest. So I ate alone and after that, I left a written letter to mama, saying that I’m off to school and left our house after that.

When I came out of our house, some children were playing without top or bottom shorts. My eyes followed them and can’t help but think, one day when I made enough money, I’m gonna help those unfortunate children on the streets. I can't bear to see such a child who is just neglected by their parents who’s just gambling or drinking everywhere.

Moving on, at the Academy I attend, they don't require students to wear a uniform, any is fine. But it is still forbidden to wear shorts and revealing tops. And as usual, I wore pants and a peach V-neck shirt, which is a gift from Nica.

As I’m about to call a cab to ride, a car’s horn suddenly blew behind me so I turned around. A car stopped next to me and its tinted window went down. From there, Nica peeked from the backseat.

"Come on, Andy!" she said. I was skeptical because I’m a bit embarrassed to hit a ride. Maybe she noticed my expression so she suddenly frowned.

"If you don't get in here, our friendship is over!" she said while pouting as her hands were crossed below her chest. So, I have no choice but to get in. She’s a bit childish sometimes, but she will really come true to her words and left you dumbfounded.

"She really loves me!" Nica squealed from the back seat. And from then on, she didn't stop blabbering about everything, until we finally got to campus. The car stopped in front of the gate. And she quickly came out with me, dragged by her.

"I’m soooo excited! I'm sure, there will be many more handsome transferries today! By the way, my cousin who is also the son of my uncle who owns this school will come here from the US to study! I’m going to match make you two! Don’t worry, he’s handsome!" Nica said while giggling. I glared at her as we walked in.

"Don’t think about it, Nica! I don't have time for those, you know that," I replied. She just rolled her eyes at me.

"Can you, Andy, at least once enjoy yourself? Don’t drown yourself with just studying all the time! Don't stress too much, your intelligent ass won’t be lessen if you do that," she exclaimed. I just laughed at her for what she said.

We stopped walking down the hallway when four women stopped walking in front of us. One of them greeted Nica, "Hello, Nica."

I can’t help but scoff at how transparent Sophie is. I can sense something bad might happen now if I don't leave Nica’s side, so I went behind Nica so I wouldn't be targeted by these bullies.

"Great to see you, Sophie," Nica greeted and kissed Sophie’s cheek that made her saw me in the back of Nica.

"Oh, what do we have here, Nica? I didn't know that you're bringing along a trash here," Sophie said with a mocking tone. The three women who are with Sophie laughed. And I also heard the little laughter of the students who have their attention on us now.

I just bowed my head down, I knew it. I don't want trouble especially on the first day, as much as I can do, I keep myself calm from hitting on those who bully me so I don't get kicked out of here. They have power, while I’m just poor. So I really have no chance to win against them if they want me to be expelled here in Academy.

"Oh please, get out of our way, bitch," Nica said angrily. The four women in front of us laughed even more and I noticed that we were now surrounded by students that make me even more scared.

"Wow, you're fighting now huh? Just because you're the dean's niece, you're acting like a big shot?" Sophie sneered as she looked at Nica from head to toe.

"I'm not like you who just stand like a dumb bitch and just cling to the power of parents just to be famous and passed every evaluation of grades. How disgusting, you're beautiful but your head is just full of air. How sad, come on, Andy, we might get their dumbass virus," Nica turned to look at me, so she didn't see Sophie's hand who’s about to hit her. So, before she could do that, I pulled her behind me. And in the end, I was the one who got hit by Sophie.

"Oh, the rat to the rescue! How sweet, awe. And now, you can also taste how sweet I am," Sophie said before she reached me and began pulling my hair. I just let her, and all I could hear was Nica's voice begging Sophie to stop. The pain I’m feeling is getting worse with every second drop as my hair was being pulled by Sophie. I wanted to fight but I knew that it would just bring a disadvantaged result to me.

In just a moment, I felt Sophie remove her hand from my head, so I looked up and noticed that she was staring behind me, gaping. So I turned around even though I couldn't see much around because of my messy hair that covered my face.

"Picking a fight early in the morning, what a welcome to us!" I heard a man's voice, so I pulled out my messy hair away from my face. And four men came up to my vision. And they... They are the ones I saw at the mall yesterday.

And one of those men is... the one who stole my panty! And before I could know it, I raised my hand and pointed the man in the middle. I'm not mistaken!

"Y-you!" I yelled while stuttered a bit. He looked at me with a bored expression.

"What," he replied with an irritated tone.

"You're the... The one who stole my panty!" I shouted without even thinking about what came out of my mouth. And right after I said it, I could hear the students around us gasping out of surprise. And that’s when I thought of what did I just said. F*ck, Andy, Why did you say that out loud?! Oh heavens, just get me right now!
