A Good Heart But Thick Skin

Damian was a man to watch out for. The thought of him doing something as evil as that to Lyra weakened me. How would Lyra feel if she found out that Damian was the one who kidnapped her and sold her to the slavers?

I thanked Gary for his time before I left the prison. He only got more irritated and promised that if he got out of there, which I doubt, he would bring Damian down.

I hadn't gone far when I noticed I was being followed. When I slowed my steps, the people slowed down too. When I quickened my steps, they did.
