24. Falling

Sakha let out a weary laugh that sounded more like a groan of satisfaction, or that’s exactly what it was.

Airin’s eyes were still wide open, staring at Sakha as if the man who held the status of her husband was a real demon from hell.

“Thank you, I’ve been holding it since the slap you gave me this morning.”

Airin’s thoughts were cut off by this unexpected statement.

Sakha sighed softly before closing his eyes and ignoring the deadly glare from the woman lying next to him.

At that moment, Airin didn’t just want to slap him but to deliver one or two painful punches that would instantly paralyze him.

“Really strange,” she muttered in a cold voice.

“Hm? What do you mean?” Sakha asked.

Airin didn’t answer, just stared deeply into his eyes and whispered again, “As I thought, you’re really an immoral man.”

There were so many epithets Sakha had received in less than a night and a half-day, but he never expected to hear words that would hurt his ego like this.
