Chapter 172

Author: Jason Chord
"How did it happen?" Gideon asked.

"It was all that little bitch Kyla's doing! She pushed Ella down the stairs!" Marion ground her teeth in fury. "By the way, I'm calling the police to have that little bitch arrested. What she did was intentional harm, and she will be put in jail for it."

Arnold halted Marion and said, "Wait! Let's not jump to any conclusions just yet. We don't know for sure if Kyla was the one who pushed her. We'll wait until Ella wakes up and get her side of the story."

Marion's voice dripped with anger as she exclaimed, "How could you call yourself a father? Our daughter is in such a state, and yet you still defend that little bitch!"

Gideon said, "Mrs. Seymour, Mr. Seymour is right. We need to figure this out clearly and avoid making false accusations. If Kyla was truly the one who pushed her, we can still involve the police at that time."

Arnold said in a deep voice, "Keep quiet and don't make a fuss. This is a hospital."

Marion felt extremely aggrieved.

Arnold called the attending doctor once more and said, "Doctor, it appears my daughter hasn't entirely lost her memory. She knows who he is!""Who is he?""He's my daughter's husband. They have filed for divorce and are currently in a cooling-off period.""I see."The attending doctor thought momentarily and then explained, "In my opinion, certain memories can be deeply ingrained and difficult to erase. Given that they are seeking a divorce, Ms. Seymour must have been resolute in her decision and determined to follow through, right?"Marion said, "Yes, my daughter couldn't wait to divorce him as soon as possible!""That's right, then. The matter of divorce is ingrained in Ms. Seymour's thoughts, and it holds great significance to her. It's a topic that she cannot forget easily, which explains why she still remembers the person she's in the process of divorcing. "Actually, this is good news. It's a breakthrough.""A breakthrough?""Yes. Next, we'll need this gentleman to assis

When they were back at the Seymour residence, Arnold said, "Gideon, stay here and keep Ella company. Do your best to help her regain her memory as quickly as possible."He held onto the hope that Gideon and Elara would reconcile. Wasn't this the perfect chance? Gideon could only nod in agreement, feeling powerless.Just then, the doorbell rang. Marion opened the door and started cursing, "You little bitch! How dare you show up here!"It turned out to be Kyla standing at the door.Marion pointed right at her nose and continued scolding, "Well, it's good that you're here. I haven't called the police yet. But you just wait. You'll be arrested soon!"Kyla retorted, "Aunt Marion, please stop speaking nonsense! Ella's fall had nothing to do with me." "How dare you try to argue!""I'm not arguing. I'm stating the facts. Unless you have proof that I caused Ella's fall, your accusations are baseless!"Marion was left speechless. Evidence? There was no evidence! If Elara hadn't lost

"Come on. Our daughter has grown up. Sometimes, she needs to make her own decisions and face those challenges alone. It's not our place as parents to constantly intervene."Remember when we got married? There were many obstacles, like your mother disapproving of me and wanting you to marry into a wealthy family. I was just like how Gideon is now. I hope you can give him a chance," Arnold said.Surprisingly, these words had some effect. Marion's expression softened, as if she were recalling the rough times she and Arnold had gone through in the past.Arnold took a seat and wrapped his arms around Marion. "Dear, please listen to me this time," he said earnestly.Marion didn't respond. Instead, she changed the topic and said, "There's only one week left until Mom's birthday. I need to go back to their house."Arnold's face turned solemn."Are you going?""Of course, I'm going!" Arnold nodded."Despite the inevitable nagging I'd receive every time I visit, she's still my mother-i

"Ms. Trott, the Carter family is all set. We just need the funding. When will Ms. Avila decide to invest?" Could you please take a look at it?"Matthew's mind was preoccupied with the thought of money, so he wasn't in the mood to read any contract.Maggie continued, "It would be best if you could review it to avoid any misunderstandings in the future. Since we are making a full investment, Avila Group will hold 90% of the shares in your new company, making us the majority shareholder with a veto right."

Rachel, despite her young age, managed the Avila family. With an impressive investment of five billion dollars, she was confident that within just two or three years, she would transform Avila Group into a trillion-dollar powerhouse. In Dasovia, very few 25-year-old financial leaders had such high aspirations and remarkable capabilities.A man had to be exceptional in order to win over Rachel. Gideon, in Rachel's eyes, was exactly that perfect candidate. Even though Rachel didn't know Gideon's true identity, it didn't matter to her.Gideon had already demonstrated significant power, enough to cause ripples throughout the entire Dasovia.Rachel already realized that the recent turmoil in Goldspire was due to Gideon's actions. The respected Cabinet Elders of Dasovia, who held the highest positions of power and were the nation's key decision-makers, second only to the highest authority, even paid Gideon a visit.Rachel wouldn't allow anyone to take Gideon away from her."Maggie, I

I'll catch you later."Elara pounced and grabbed Gideon's arm. "No way you're getting away from me!""Please, just listen to me…""Absolutely not! We are married, and as such, we should share a bed. Darling, do you no longer love me?" Tears welled up in Elara's eyes.Gideon felt like crying. What did he do to deserve this? At one point, he suspected that Elara's memory loss might be an act, but now, it seemed impossible. How could it be fake when they were going to sleep together? The door at the end of the hallway was ajar. Kyla watched everything with furrowed brows. "Is it possible that Elara has truly lost her memory? Damn it! This is going to be a difficult situation. Gideon is completely vulnerable to her now. I don't stand a chance.""Don't leave yet, Gideon. Adrian's thought was actually right, and it made sense. To most girls, he was someone to look up to and admire. But unfortunately for him, he had met Rachel. As a woman who had once been with a lion, she was not easily impressed by a mere leopard or jackal. Gideon was the lion, whereas Adrian was merely a jackal. There was a significant difference between them.In the past, if Gideon hadn't been in the picture, Rachel might have been kind to Adrian and possibly formed a bond with him. This could have resulted in a collaboration with the Linc family. Now, she couldn't have cared less. She had the confidence and never needed to worry about the Linc family in the slightest.Furthermore, Rachel was already angry since Gideon had failed to show up. Instantly, Humphrey seemed frozen in place, as if bound by an immobilization spell. It was like his very soul had been taken."What?" In the distance, Bertram, who was about to slaughter Martin's subordinates, was filled with disbelief. "The Eye Technique! Good Lord, he actually knows the Eye Technique!"Bertram was shaken. Everyone in the martial world knew that the Eye Technique was incredibly rare and extremely difficult to master.A single misstep, and at best, one could go blind. If things turned for the worse, the backlash could destroy the brain beyond salvation. Even a deity wouldn't be able to save them.Yet, Martin had succeeded in mastering it!"This is bad!" "Martin, surrender. You can't halt our progression on your own. The Pope and King Franco have commanded the destruction of the 39 cities held by the rebel forces within a single day. "In fact, it won't even take that long. Once we capture you—the key figure of the rebellion—the other cities will fall without resistance. "You are a skilled individual, reaching the pinnacle of the sixth rank in transcendence. Even within The Light Council, you would be significant. If you choose to surrender, I can introduce you to the Council," Bertram spoke with immense arrogance. His tone implied he was offering Martin a favor. Yet, Martin felt nothing but contempt. "The Light Council? Ha! There are only a few members there worth acknowledging. The Pope and the commander of the ten elite legions are among them. But you, Bertram, are the last person I would respect!" "Hmm?" Bertram's expression grew grim. Fury overtook him. "You're so obstinate! It appears you're intent on resisting to the end.

Gideon cautioned, "There are still some small cracks. Be careful. You need more treatment." As he spoke, the other champions began to regain consciousness one by one. While their injuries were no longer life-threatening, they remained very weak and required time to recover. "What happened to us?" "Are we dead?" Timmy exclaimed, "What are you talking about? You're all alive and fine. Gideon saved you from the brink of death, and even the Grim Reaper wouldn't dare argue!" "Sir!" The group was thrilled. Gideon comforted them, "You've all endured a lot. From now on, just focus on recovering." "Can you still contact Ian and the others? I need to find out where they are." "Sir, when we parted ways, we agreed to meet at the Great Rift of Death in southeastern Tylland. We can only head there and hope for the best!" "The Great Rift of Death," Gideon repeated to himself. "Then, that's where we'll go."As everyone boarded the aircraft, Gideon turned to Siward, asking, "Aren't y

Siward was born with an enchanting allure, which was the source of her strength. Now, with just one look, Gideon could see that her enchanting allure was compromised. For her, this was a profoundly severe injury. At that point, Siward became earnest. "Ian and the others are in trouble." "What do you mean?" "Come with me. I'll explain everything." Siward took hold of Gideon, and they left the grand hall immediately. Martin and the other generals were left behind. However, they bore no resentment. Still, a trace of disappointment appeared in Martin's eyes.… In the backyard, Siward shared some details. After the champions arrived in Tylland, they began conducting covert investigations. They had indeed found evidence of The Light Council. Furthermore, it seemed they were close to uncovering some critical information. The Light Council was engaged in some unknown and mysterious activities. "Genetic engineering?""Yes."Siward's expression was grave. "The secret we unco

"Who are they?" he asked in a frosty tone. "I don't know," came the reply. "Mr. Hager mentioned they're quite distinguished and requested you to receive them." "Very well. Let them in," Martin Hadler agreed with a nod. Moments later, Gideon led the way into the grand hall, with Umbra and Lysander trailing behind. His focus was unwavering as he ignored everyone else and locked eyes with Martin. "Are you the leader of the rebel army?" he inquired. "How dare you!" a general immediately shouted in outrage. "We are the legitimate force here. What do you mean by 'rebel army'? Choose your words carefully, young man. This is your only warning." "Kneel down!" The command was as compelling as a divine decree. The words had an instant effect. The general, who possessed transcendent abilities, found himself unable to resist, as if immense weights were placed upon his shoulders. He collapsed to his knees with a loud crash, his kneecaps shattering on impact. A piercing scream res

Shock gripped them. It was an utter shock. Benedict and his three companions were utterly dumbfounded. They gaped at Gideon, who stood at the plane's cabin door, their minds reeling and struggling to process what they had just seen. The onlookers, including the other kings, felt an even deeper sense of dread. Unbelievable! A single punch to defeat four kings! What did that signify? It was akin to single-handedly overpowering the continent's mightiest forces. Only Franco was absent. Had Franco been present and all five powerful kings subdued, it would truly signify dominion over the entire continent. Such power! In that instant, everyone looked at Gideon with admiration and awe. Some instinctively fell to their knees. Once one person kneeled, a wave of onlookers followed suit, bowing in reverence. Gideon surveyed the scene and said calmly, "I'm merely passing through. I have no other intentions. Let this matter rest here. Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless!" Wi

Gideon's brows furrowed, and he replied icily, "Enough. I'm merely passing through and mean no harm. If I've bothered you, I apologize, but I'm pressed for time. Keep this up and more innocents might get hurt—I don't believe that's what you want." "Silence!" Benedict snarled, gritting his teeth. He saw Gideon's words as a facade, an attempt to shame him rather than any genuine kindness. Gideon sighed, glancing around quickly. "Are all these people royalty, judging by their attire? I wonder if King Franco is present." Just then, Camila, Jorge, and Carmelo Madron, King of Naporia, hurried over. "What do you mean? Why are you asking about Franco? Are you looking for him?" Camila inquired. "Indeed, I am looking for King Franco." "He is not here. Word is that there's internal strife in Tylland, and he's occupied with those matters." "Thank you," Gideon said, preparing to close the cabin door. But Benedict shouted, "You think you can leave after embarrassing me? I can't let y

"Sir, we've entered the airspace of the Kingdom of Lullin," Lysander warned with concern. "Lullin is the most powerful kingdom on this continent. We might face serious trouble if we cross through it directly." Gideon responded, "I can't worry about that now. We need to reach Tylland as quickly as possible." No sooner had he spoken than streaks of fire erupted into the sky with a loud boom, unleashing a barrage of overwhelming firepower. The intensity surpassed what they had faced at the northern border pass, yet Lysander remained calm. He trusted Gideon completely. "Prepare for action!" Gideon reopened the cabin door. Here it came! Lysander's anticipation grew as he watched Gideon's tall and commanding figure, awaiting the "miracle". The Solar Titan Physique activated. A brilliant light and a powerful, searing presence spread out, obliterating the incoming firepower from afar."What?" The ground strike combat troops were filled with fear. What was happening?
