Chapter 89

Megan sat crumpled against the floor. Her hands bounded with rusted iron chains, and her legs bounded together. A guard opened the door and dropped a plate of food next to her.

"You will join your mother today." The guard announced and Megan's eyes lit up.

"Really? Finally, I am going to leave this horrible place, I knew Murphy still felt something for me. He is letting me go so easily." She said, with a triumphant smile on her face.

The guard snickered, shaking his head and he turned to her and gave her a mocking stare.

"What? Why are you staring at me that way? Come get these chains off my hands." Megan commanded and the guard raised a brow at her.

"Miss Megan, don't you think you are overestimating yourself?" He asked and Megan frowned.

"And what is that supposed to mean?" She asked.

"Well, what I am trying to say is you are going to a different cell, to join your mother. She is also somewhere in the dungeon." The guard said and Megan's face fell.

"What? My mum is in the dungeon?"
