Chapter 5: Incidentally

After driving a little way, the two arrived at the city's famous food street, Keitha Patric turned her head to ask Laetus Allison what he wanted to eat, the whole way she saw the person next to her staring at the tablet screen so she didn't mean to disturb the person next to her.

Until she arrived at the dining place, Keitha was a little confused when she did not know which restaurant to eat, although she did not want to disturb Laetus, but when she came here she could not sit still and wait for Laetus to finish his work, she also needed to return to the company to quickly plan with other departments in the company.

Keitha turned to her side slightly, and she reached out to gently touch the shoulder of the person next to her.

"Well... Laetus!"

Laetus gently moved his gaze away from the tablet, he turned his head to look at Keitha, raising a deep, masculine voice but accompanied by a sharp gaze that seemed to see through the other person.

"What's wrong?"

Somehow for a moment, Keitha was a little startled, she thought she had been pierced by the cold gaze of the other person, she wondered if Laetus would look at the other person with that bone-chilling gaze. It took Keitha a few seconds to quickly regain her focus, she quickly asked Laetus in her voice.

"Well, I just wanted to ask what you want to eat?"

Laetus just looked outside at this time, countless people kept walking around and the noise of the porch outside, although separated by a layer of material, the sound of chaos outside could also penetrate inside, the flow of people outside kept coming in and out of the restaurants in front of him,  dozens of eateries also appeared in sight, and he furrowed his brow a little uncomfortably, reluctant to respond to Keitha's answer.

"Just choose the one you want, just help me choose which one is quiet. It's so loud outside, it makes me uncomfortable."

Keitha was a little nervous because she didn't know what to say next, she really didn't understand that she had committed a sin and met someone as difficult as him. But now was not the time for her to whine or argue with the other person, but when she saw the discomfort of the person next to her, she immediately understood that she needed to quickly choose a restaurant to calm the mood of the person next to her.

She slowly drove past the busy line of people in front of her, it took her a few minutes of struggle to get through that crowded line, she also accidentally saw a noodle shop outside the façade, she noticed a few people paving in and out of the diner,  The store is also built in the style of a family diner, which looks very cozy.

Without turning to ask the person next to her, Keitha hit the steering wheel and pulled over at the diner, deftly parked in the space between the two cars, Laetus couldn't help but tease her as soon as she saw it.

"You're too clever to park, the steering wheel is stiff too."

"It's too complimentary, the driver looks familiar."

Keitha didn't fit either, she unfastened her seat belt, turned off the engine and threw the keys in the air, Laetus grabbed it with her forehand, then slowly put it in her pocket, he also quickly unfastened her seat belt and walked into the diner with Keitha,  In his hand, he did not forget to hold his own computer.

Entering the restaurant, Laetus also accidentally noticed the space of the restaurant, a restaurant with warm corrugated iron as the main color, thick glass placed towards the outside to help customers eat while looking at the street outside, but also not affected by outside sound,  seems to create a separate space from the outside.

As soon as they entered the restaurant, they both saw an open kitchen space with a few employees standing to serve customers, there were a few customers eating in the restaurant but in short, it was not very noisy, which made Laetus feel satisfied, he looked around and saw that there was a table for two people in the distance,  Without hesitation he walked quickly to it.

But when he took a few steps there was an arm holding Laetus back from behind, he turned his head to look when he saw Keitha clutching his sleeve, he raised an eyebrow and turned his head to look at her.

"What's wrong?"

Keitha was quick to reply, his hand also pointing toward the simple menu mounted on the wall.

"What do you want to eat?"

Laetus didn't look over, he just lazily answered back.

"Any dish, just choose what you find delicious. I don't have any food, rest assured."

Keitha didn't hear her partner answer much, she also knew what to do next and gently glanced at the menu board in the distance, there were many dishes on top of it, which made her a little confused about what to order.

After thinking for a while, she decided to choose two bowls of traditional noodles, which seemed to get a lot of attention, so it was nominated on the menu board. Keitha quickly glanced around and saw the food counter nearby, so she walked there waiting in line for her turn.

"Hey Keitha."

Keitha was choosing her food when she heard someone next to her calling her, looked over at her and saw Laetus put on an expressionless face at her, she frowned in puzzlement.

"What's wrong?"

Laetus saw that she didn't seem to understand the problem and raised her sleeve, raised an eyebrow at her, Keitha looked at her hand that was gripping the other person's sleeve and was startled to leave, she was a little confused because she forgot to remove her hand, just like that she grabbed the other person's hand,  She even subconsciously pulled the other person's hand to stand in line with her.

"Ah, sorry, I forgot. I'm so sorry."

"You seem to have a habit of grabbing other people's sleeves."

Keitha was a little tickled, she was just unconsciously grabbing the other person's sleeve, she also forgot that she had accidentally held the other person's hand earlier.

Laetus had no idea, just shrugged and then turned and walked back to the table. Keitha, seeing her turn, quickly retracted her confused expression and focused on ordering food for both of them.
