Diana

Footsteps come closer, and a figure appears. "Everyone's whispering about how you received a gift. I had to come see it for myself," Ellen's voice rings out, curiosity and excitement evident in her tone.

I flush as I look up to see her grinning face. Her eyes land on the flower in my hand, and they round before she clasps her hands in front of her chest.

"Oh my! A white camellia," she gushes, her excitement infectious. "That's so cute!" She giggles, and I feel a mixture of embarrassment and pride swelling within me.

She then looks at me with an excited glimmer in her eyes. "You know what a white camellia means in the language of flowers, right?"

I shake my head in a daze, my mind struggling to keep up with this new information. Flowers have a language?

"It means that the person who sent them thinks you're adorable," Ellen explains, sighing dreamily. "Young love," she murmurs before walking away, leaving me to process this new revelation.

I look at the flower, this time with new e

DianaSometimes, when I go out, I'm stopped by random strangers with a gift, "from Dominicus." I'd go for a walk, and when I pass a bakery, the owner would rush out with a smile and hand me a box of freshly baked macarons or artisanal chocolates. When I go to the markets for groceries, they never take my money. Always, it's a knowing look with a, "It's been paid for, Miss Diana," and I find myself at a loss for words.Once, I was walking by a park when I was stopped by the most adorable little boy with missing teeth. With the most serious face he could muster, he said he was given a job to pass a message to Miss Diana. He handed me a beautifully crafted wooden puzzle box. With it came a note in a handwriting I would recognize anywhere now: "Use this to amuse yourself. Don't only be focused on working all the time."That day, I broke down in the park and sobbed my heart out. Not from sadness, but from a deep, overwhelming joy. I have never been so touched in my life.I've received the m

Alpha Magnus I stand before the full-length mirror in my spacious bedroom, adjusting my tie with practiced precision. The silk slides smoothly through my fingers as I tighten the knot, a perfect Windsor. Today is no ordinary day; we're expecting a delegation from another pack, and appearances matter. As I shrug on my tailored suit jacket, a sharp knock on the door interrupts my thoughts. "Enter," I command, my voice steady and authoritative.A young Gamma steps in, bowing his head slightly. "Alpha, the delegation from the Plena Luna Pack has arrived. Alpha Darius is among them."I nod, my face impassive. "I've heard. I'll be there shortly."Without another word, I stride out of my bedroom, my footsteps echoing through the halls of the pack house. The Gamma scurries after me, struggling to keep pace with my long strides. As I approach the conference room, I can sense the tension in the air. I push open the heavy oak doors, revealing a room filled with my most trusted pack members. My

Alpha Magnus The world around me blurs as I struggle to comprehend what just transpired. Natasha Silvanus, the woman I had chosen to stand by my side, had just uttered a word that shattered everything I had planned. Mate. The word echoes in my mind, a cruel taunt that mocks my carefully laid plans. I've known Natasha for years. Daughter of Alpha Lucien Silvanus, she comes from a bloodline of powerful Alphas. Her beauty is matched only by her strength and intelligence. I've seen her take on pack warriors twice her size and emerge victorious, a feral grin on her face. She exudes confidence and raw sexuality that draws others to her like moths to a flame. In my mind, she was the perfect Luna. Strong enough to lead my men, but not strong enough to challenge me. The only reason she wasn't next in line to be Alpha of her own pack was the cruel twist of fate that saw her born after her elder brother, who manifested the Alpha gene first. But in every other way, she was an Alpha thro

Alpha Magnus The cool night air does little to soothe the inferno raging within me. I stand on the balcony, my hands gripping the metal balustrade so tightly that it bends under my strength. The conference room I left ten minutes ago lies in ruins, a testament to the fury that had consumed me. Now, as I stare out into the darkness, my mind races with thoughts of betrayal and vengeance. The sound of the office door opening breaks through my brooding. Footsteps approach, and I don't need to turn to know who it is. Her scent, once a comfort, now only serves to stoke the embers of my anger. My jaw clenches, muscles working beneath the skin as I fight to maintain control. Natasha comes to stand beside me, her presence a mix of familiar and foreign. The nervousness and uneasiness radiating from her are palpable, filling the space between us with an uncomfortable tension. "Magnus," she begins softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I know you're angry, but we need to talk about th

Alpha Magnus The night air suddenly feels colder as my words hang between us. I watch her face carefully, searching for any sign of wavering, any hint that she might be receptive to my suggestion. “What do you mean… what exactly are you implying, Magnus?" Natasha asks, her voice laced with caution and a hint of disbelief. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what I'm about to say. "I'm saying you have a choice, Natasha. You could reject him." The effect is immediate and visceral. Natasha physically recoils, her eyes widening in horror as she takes a step back. "Reject my mate?" she gasps, her voice a mixture of disbelief and revulsion. "Yes," I nod, maintaining my composure despite the turmoil churning within me. "Have you lost your mind?" she exclaims, her voice rising. "How can you even suggest such a thing?" I raise an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "It's an option, isn't it? One that solves our current... predicament." Natasha's face contorts with a mixture of disgust a

DianaIt's been just over a week since I last saw him, and the longing in my heart grows stronger with each passing day. Every morning, I wake to find a fresh lilac-colored flower (I still don’t know what it’s called) waiting for me, its delicate petals a reminder of his presence in my life. The gifts haven't stopped either, each one more thoughtful than the last. But today, something is different. As I stir from my slumber, my eyes fall upon not just the usual flower, but a box sitting beside it. Curiosity piqued, I reach for it, noticing a note attached. The handwriting is unmistakable – powerful and commanding, just like him. My heart races as I read his words:"You look beautiful when you sleep. This box contains a new phone for you, already set up. I hope you like it."My hands tremble as I pick up the box, hardly daring to believe it's real. It's a brand I recognize, the latest model that I've only ever seen in shop windows or in the hands of wealthier customers at the diner. On

DianaWhen I walk into the diner, all eyes are on me. I can feel the weight of their stares, taking in my outfit and makeup that's so different from my usual uniform and bare face. For a moment, I feel self-conscious, but then I see the smiles spreading across their faces."Well, well, well!" Joe, one of our regulars, calls out with a grin. "Looks like our Diana's got herself a hot date with her mystery man!"A chorus of good-natured laughter and whistles follows his words. I feel my cheeks heat up, but I can't help the small smile that tugs at my lips."You look beautiful, honey," Ellen says, coming around the counter to give me a quick hug. "Now go on, don't keep that man of yours waiting."I give her a grateful smile. "Thanks, Ellen."She shoos me towards the door with a wink. "Have fun!."As I make my way through the diner, I can't help but feel a surge of pride. These people have seen me at my worst—tired, stressed, covered in coffee stains. But today, they're seeing a different

DianaAs we drive along the smooth streets, my curiosity continues to gnaw at me. I can't help but ask again, "Where are we going? Please, I'm really curious."He chuckles, the sound rich and warm in the confines of the car. His eyes remain fixed on the road, but I can see the corners of his mouth quirk up in amusement. "It won't take long, dulcis. Patience is a virtue, you know."My bottom lip can’t help but jut out at his teasing evasion. Without even turning to look at me, he says, "Don't pout, dulcis." The way he says it, half-scolding and half-affectionate, makes me giggle despite myself. We continue driving for about ten minutes when suddenly, he turns off the main road onto an inconspicuous dirt path leading into a dense forest. The abrupt change in scenery piques my interest even further. Ancient trees line both sides of the narrow road, their branches creating a canopy overhead that filters the sunlight into dappled patterns on the ground.I sit up straighter in my seat, cran

Diana Murder?! Me?! They think I killed someone?! And that too a child?!! What the actual fuck?!! My mind reels, unable to process what I'm hearing. Wait no no no, they said ‘aiding and abetting’, so they don’t necessarily believe that I did it directly. More like I HELPED someone do it. An unshifted pup… Werewolves shift at the age of eight… meaning at the oldest the child couldn’t have been more that seven years old… That’s a baby!! I hear a loud and obnoxious ringing in my ears and I take an involuntary step back, as though my body subconsciously tries to physically distance itself from the accusation. Who could do such a thing?! Who could kill such a small and innocent child?! And why are they trying to connect me to it?! Nigel looks at me over the deliberately aged paper, his eyes lighting up with satisfaction at finally eliciting a reaction. "Whose murder?" I ask, my voice high-pitched with shock. Diana Taking my hand, we leisurely walk until we break through the trees. I worry my bottom lip between my teeth but force myself to push down the nerves. I square my shoulders and stand up straight. I'm with Dominicus; I must not shame him by showing weakness. As we emerge from the forest, I see a delegation of wolves turned in our direction, likely alerted by our footsteps. There are at least ten werewolves in attendance, and my eyes widen as I take them in. At first glance, I can tell that over half of them are warriors, but I've never seen pack warriors like this before. Not even Zervos pack warriors measure up. They stand strong, each equipped in black soft armor with sheathed weapons strapped to either their backs or sides. As we approach, the warriors collectively incline their heads in a respectful bow towards us - though I know the gesture is meant for Dominicus - before looking forward again, their gazes fixed on some point in the distance. Their faces are stoic, betrayi

DianaI'm curled up on the plush sofa in Dominicus' study, a book cradled in my hands. The room is bathed in the warm glow of the afternoon sun, filtering through the large windows and casting long shadows across the polished wooden floor. The only sounds are the occasional rustle of pages as I turn them and the soft scratching of Dominicus' pen as he works at his desk. It's a peaceful moment, but I find myself stealing glances at Dominicus over the top of my book, admiring the way the sunlight catches in his dark hair, turning it to burnished gold at the edges.Suddenly, the air in the room shifts. It's subtle, barely perceptible, but I feel it like a change in pressure before a storm. I look up from my book to find him sitting ramrod straight in his chair, his body tense as a coiled spring. His face, usually so relaxed around me, has hardened into a mask of seriousness, his eyes narrowed as he stares at something I can't see.Concern floods through me, chasing away the peaceful leth

Brodik Elder Rothgar's booming voice cuts through the chatter like a knife. "We need to act quickly. If we can bring this monster under our control, imagine the power we could wield." Elder Fendel nods, a sly smile playing at his lips. In that moment, he looks less like a dignified Elder and more like a sneaky wolf eyeing its prey. "Yes, but how do we approach such a creature? We can't simply extend an invitation." "We could offer him more territory," Elder Thomas suggests, his eyes gleaming with a hunger that belies his age. “Thats useless! As it stands, the Amadeus Pack lands is the largest territory by land mass already. In addition to the human town, all the forestry around it spanning thousands of miles belong to him! How would that tempt him?!” someone argues. "How about a seat on the Council, then! Afterall, all past Amadeus Alphas sat on the council. That might work!” “All Amadeus Alphas are nominal Council Elders already! If he wants a seat, how do you stop him?!”

12 hours ago… Brodik The Council chamber, a vast and imposing space, breathes with the weight of centuries. I stand motionless against its far wall, my face an impassive mask as I observe the unfolding drama before me. The room itself is a testament to the longevity and power of our kind, its very air thick with the scent of old leather, polished wood. Ornate tapestries adorn the walls, their rich hues muted by time and the flickering light of antique chandeliers. These woven histories depict epic werewolf battles and hunts, silent witnesses to the countless decisions that have shaped our world. The golden glow from the chandeliers dances across the scarred surface of the massive oak table dominating the chamber's center, its wood polished to a soft sheen by centuries of use and heated debates. Around this table sit the five of the most powerful werewolves in our world, Council Elders. Their faces, etched with the lines of age and weighted with hard-earned wisdom, are a canvas

Diana I take a deep breath, memories of Billy flooding my mind. "He's been there for me since I was eight," I begin, my voice soft with fondness. "When I was kicked out of the Pack orphanage for failing to shift, Billy was the one who stepped up..." “…He made a few Omega men help him clean out a small shack for me. They didn’t want to, but he made them." Dominicus's eyebrows raise slightly, but he doesn't interrupt. "No one else wanted anything to do with me," I continue, a hint of old pain in my voice. "But Billy... he got furniture for me, fixed it up. He made sure I was fed and clothed. He even homeschooled me." I pause, overwhelmed by the memories. "Without him, I wouldn't have survived. A wolfless orphan at eight... I wouldn't have stood a chance." Dominicus's hand finds mine, squeezing gently. "He sounds like a good man," he says softly. I nod, tears pricking at my eyes. "He is. He even moved to a smaller, more rundown house closer to mine, just to be near me. He... he wa

But the weight of what I need to say presses down on me. Steeling myself, I turn to face Dominicus, my heart pounding in my chest."Dom?" I call out, my voice barely above a whisper, almost lost in the gentle rustling of leaves around us. "There's something I need to tell you... about yesterday."I feel him tense briefly before relaxing, his muscles shifting beneath his skin like a predator preparing for action. His arms tighten around me, a gesture of silent support that speaks volumes in the quiet of the forest."What is it?" he asks, his tone gentle but concerned. His eyes, those mesmerizing brown orbs, search my face intently.I nod, swallowing hard. The memory of yesterday's ordeal sends a chill down my spine. But there's no time to waste. We need to act, and for that, Dominicus needs to know everything."It's... it's not g
