SALLY'S POV I got back home late at night. I was completely exhausted from running around in the market, trying to get the things I needed in the house. I was able to buy a few things that would quicken the cleaning of the house, I was also able to get enough things for the kitchen. Although I wasn't able to get the smartphone, I still had little money left with me that would get me a very small smartphone and sim. At least the smartphone would be able to help me with making calls and the rest of it. I decided to rest for a bit before going to the kitchen to prepare dinner. At least the fruit that I ate in the daytime was still in my stomach, and I could manage it until I was able to get enough strength to prepare food. I lay in my bed facing the ceiling, as memories of the past began to flash in my head. I saw my dad chasing me around the sitting room while I would run and laugh excitedly. I saw myself playing with my dolls, forcing them to eat with me, and crying most of the t
SALLY'S POV A big frown was stuck on my face as I looked around the place tiredly, I wished once again that my maids were here. This would be the first time I would be doing anything on my own, and it wasn't just anything. It was something as stressful as cleaning up an abandoned house. I decided to start by sweeping the dust away. I picked up the new broom I had brought from the market and began sweeping the kitchen. I tried to gather all the dust together even though it was difficult, and seeing that I wouldn't be able to clean the house that way, I decided to use Packer first. I packed all the dust away using the packer before sweeping the place so it would become completely neat. After sweeping I picked a rag, and wet it with water from the bucket, that I had brought from my room, then I bent down and started cleaning. It was getting late, so I brought out three candles from my bag and lit them all up placing them in three corners of the kitchen, to enhance my sight. I bent ov
ALPHA DEREK'S POV "One more bottle please", I said in a drunken state. About five bottles of alcohol stood on the table in front of me. I had emptied the bottles and wasn't satisfied yet. This has been my life after searching for Sally for a whole week and still didn't hear anything from her. Some workers said they saw her sneaking out of the room that morning, which simply meant she had left the pack house on her own. She probably left to hurt me and make me pay for all the times I had hurt her. She probably didn't ever love me. She only wanted to use me and then dump me. She wanted to be free. She wanted to free her mom and pack members, and I was so foolish to have believed that Sally fell in love with me. Or she probably left because she wasn't ready to go through the shame of ending up sent away from the pack house with me. Everyone who had begun to gossip that it was a plan to distract the elders and others from the stolen money saw it for a fact that I wasn't okay. I had los
SALLY'S POV Two weeks had packed already. News about alpha Derek had spread like wide fire in the whole of the supernatural community. He had stopped visiting the moonlight pack house and had given up on his search for me. I knew for a fact my parents, especially my mom would be looking for me everywhere and may fall sick if I didn't show up right away. I packed all my belongings and took a cab back to the moonlight pack. I disguised myself in my dress since I didn't want anyone to know who I was. The security at the gate tried to stop me because of my disguise, but immediately I told them I was a messenger from alpha Derek to Sally's parents, they let me in without bothering me any further. I knocked on the door and my father opened the door, I jumped on him and hugged him so tightly, as if I wanted to penetrate his body, immediately he opened the door. "Sally", he called me in a very low tone. "Yes Father", I said and pushed him gently into the house. I closed the door afterwa
SALLY'S POV I raised my eyebrow and fixed my eyes on my father's mouth as he spoke to me. "Alpha Derek wasn't always this mean. He was only a teenager during the invasion of your pack and wasn't among those who went with the army. His parents hated him because they thought he was too soft and threatened to either give birth to another child or better still adopt a baby that would take over when they were retired since they thought he couldn't do it. It was after they raided your pack and two other packs that he decided to join them. His parents treated him so badly and only his mom's elder brother, whom he saw as his godfather treated him right", he narrated while I listened keenly. "His parents were so strict and tough with him that he gradually began to grow cold, but became even worse after the death of his godfather. Alpha Derek was never among those who raided your pack and killed anyone", he concluded. I thought about it for a while and sighed deeply. Alpha Derek may not be
ALPHA DEREK'S POV I sat in the meeting room nonchalantly, Mike was present beside me, while my secretary and accountant couldn't attend the meeting, because I had locked them both up in prison, pending the time they provided the money. My head was bowed. All I could think of was Sally, I wondered how she was faring and if she ever for once missed me and the times we spent together. "Derek!" Elder Simeon called in a harsh tone, summoning my attention. They must have noticed I wasn't listening to all that was being said and was only paying attention to some other things. "What do all of you want from me?" I asked them. "We have given you enough grace Derek, the fact that we haven't taken action yet doesn't mean we are foolish. There are steps to be taken and things to be done. All the processes will be concluded soon, and the fact that we had paused it all doesn't mean you have the right to act in a way that pleaded with you, Derek. We haven't forgotten so soon, and wouldn't forget
SALLY'S POV My parents stood by the side watching me as I gathered my belongings. The cab I had booked would be there soon, and I needed to leave as soon as possible. I had stayed in the moonlight pack as if I wasn't there, and the only people that knew about my presence in the house were my mom, dad, and elder brother. My elder brother wore a frown, and a look that says, if only you loved me back, and chose me, you wouldn't ever meet Alpha Derek in the first place. I always knew my elder brother had something for me, and he was crazy to have feelings for me in the first place. I didn't pay much attention to his feelings, since I saw it as a joke. He was my brother after all, and even though we weren't blood-related, I didn't see him as anything more. Growing up with him, he had always liked me, but the only feeling I had for him was the brother and sister feeling. "Sally", my mom called holding my hands. "Yes Mom", I responded. I stopped packing and stood up to look her in th
ALPHA DEREK'S POV I walked to the wall and rested my back on it. I punched the wall severally, my fingers would tear and heal, I didn't mind, the pain wasn't as bad as the one I felt in my heart. Sally awakened my heart once again, and soon it would begin to beat, and my life would be in danger. I lowered myself to the floor and let out another loud groan. One of my servants rushed into the meeting room, he wanted to see if I was okay, and I wasn't mad at him for coming inside, I just ignored him and continued hurting my flesh. "Sir, please stop hurting your flesh, I understand what you are going through but it is not enough for you to keep doing this to yourself", he pleaded. Seeing that I wasn't paying any attention to him, he lowered himself to the floor and tried to lift me but I wasn't ready to stand up, so he was unable to lift me. "Sir, please stop doing this to yourself, you are hurting yourself so badly. I beg of you to stop doing this", he pleaded. "Who said you could
