Chapter 4

That night I feel super tired and head right to bed after dinner. I’m not expecting what happens next. I open my eyes and I find myself laying in the grass. I sit up and I'm in a beautiful meadow full of flowers I get up and start walking letting my fingers gently touch the grass. I walk for a short while and see a stream as I get closer I see a willow trees with a bench under it. I sit down and just watch the water.

“Hello my child.”

“Who is there?"

I look around and see no one.

" You have grown so much my child.”

I look across the stream and that's when I see her, she is beautiful with brown wavy hair and skin like porcelain. She is wearing a golden dress that matches her golden eyes.

"Moon goddess?"

"Yes my child I have waited for this day for many years."

"I don't understand you waited for me?" She laughs and sits down next to me.

" Yes I have waited for you to grow up and become a strong, fierce young woman and now it is time Kate. You are very special to me. I have created many special wolfs over the years but I think you will be my favorite."

She grins at me and it gives me the opportunity to ask.

"Wait I have a wolf?"

"Yes child and her name is Midnight now listen we don't have long and I have things I have to tell you."

"Ok I'm listening I'm sorry goddess."

"On Saturday you will find your mate."

I start to smile

"But he will reject you dear. Now listen you must accept the rejection right away. Once done you will find your second chance mate your true mate."

"But why can't he just be my only mate? Why must I be rejected did I do something wrong?"

"No child this is his lesson he must learn and he can either do good from it or bad. He has strayed from the true path and needs to learn he is not a god and remember I created him. I promise that it will not hurt you like a normal rejection but he will be in great pain. This will be his punishment and also the reason you are so special. Kate I have made you the first Female Alpha to have the Goddess mark.”

I know my face looks as I feel. Shocked, because she laughs and closes my mouth.

“Now I have paired you with a great wolf and you two will do amazing things together for your kind. When you wake up in the morning you will shift take your parents and brother and Sarah with you away from sight you can not be seen in wolf form tell after the rejection."

"I will thank you."

"Now go child it is time to wake up."

Next thing I know I can here mom and dad talking and I can smell Trent and Sarah is holding my hand by the bed. I grown

"Ow my head."

"Thank the goddess Kate look at me baby can you here me Kate?"

" Yes mom stop yelling at me my head hurts so bad."

"Sis we were about to call the pack Doctor it's almost 1pm." My head snaps to Trent and then my parents and Sarah I see worry all over their faces. Then I look at the clock I really sleep tell 1pm the next day I feel like I just went to sleep. Then I remember what happened and my eyes get wide.

Dad noticed my reaction and grabs my hands. "What happened who hurt you, tell daddy!"

Now all of them look like they are going to kill someone and I can't help but laugh.

"You tell your father right now this is no joke Katie Stevens."

"No one hurt me mom I'm ok, great actually last night I meet the Moon Goddess."

They all are staring at me like im crazy.

"Dad go get the doctor now someone drugged her."

"Trent no listen to me no one can no she said it's important let me explain"

I sit and explain everything to them by the end we are all crying and hugging.

"Guys there is one more thing I will meet my mate tomorrow and he will reject me."

My brother jumps up and snarls as my father roars while my mother and Sarah look like they will cry. I hold my hands up.

"Wait listen it's for a reason this will be his punishment the goddess said he has fallen off the true path. I will get a second chance mate my destined mate."

After I explain this they all look calmer but mom has a look.

"What's wrong mom I will be ok she said it will not hurt me physically only him."

"I understand but I'm worried who it is that has fallen off the true path that can't mean anything good."

Now I'm worried to she has a good point. We all get up and go out the back dad and Trent go first and check the path as us girls follow. No one goes behind our house but we still had to be careful. We are walking quietly when I here her voice soft and smooth in my head.

M: Hello my beautiful girl.

I stop in my tracks shocked

"Whats wrong!"

My while family has an attack pose all around me.

"I heard her"

"Good it must be time, here take your clothes off and kneel down."

I do as she says and she covers me with a blanket. Mom and Sarah are in front of me while dad and Trent each have a hand on one of my shoulders while we wait.

"Just talk to your wolf focus on her. Then let her take over you need relax don’t fight it, the full moon is tomorrow so it will hurt a lot what ever you do don’t stop the shift."

I close my eyes and try to focus on her.

K: Midnight are you there?

M: I've always been here girly you just couldn't here me but I never left.

K: I'm so excited to have you I'm sorry I doubt if you would ever come to me.

M: I know dear but that was part of you becoming strong and it will make you a great leader. Now it is time I can sense that no one is near we need to shift. I will try to go as fast as I can.

Soon my bones start to pop and crack and fur sprouts from my skin. I hold back screams as I don't want anyone to here. I can feel every bone in my body break and shift. I let out a whimper as my face elongates and I feel my finger nails become claws.

I feel like hours go by buts it’s only minutes. All of the sudden I feel no more pain. I open my eyes and my mother is in front of me and I'm towering over her and Sarah they look……..tiny? I look and my father and brother who are both very tall at 6,7 and even they look small. "Hunny you and Midnight are amazing come look in the stream." I stager a little and take a few steps to the stream and I can't believe it when I see myself. I'm pure black my eyes are ice blue and almost glowing. What the hell how am I all black only Alpha's are pure black.

M: that's because we are Alpha silly girl!

K: Midnight what are you talking about.

M: Remember the goddess said you are the first Female Alpha. This is why you were so fast and strong even before. Now with me you will be twice and fast and strong. And once we meet mate we will become even stronger. Now let's go run with our family they have questions but I need to run first.

I look around and my family have all shifted. I'm larger then each of them I walk over to mom and dad and rub up on each of them. Sarah licks my snout. Then Trent puts his head to mine and we take off running.
