Valentina was laying on this comfortable ass bed tossing and turning, and for some reason she couldn't sleep. She had been trying to sleep for two hours now, and she was wearing a white silk pajama set. She had also tried going on her phone to distract her but it was just plain boring. She got up and her feet instantly hit the cold floor, so she could feel the draught in this very large castle. It was so cold and she didn't understand why. Valentina walked to her drawer and got a fluffy black robe. Then she walked towards the large door and opened it, going outside her room and closing the door behind her. The hallway was dark and cold as usual, and she rolled her eyes. She should have just grabbed her phone so that she could use it for a light. Valentina found her way to Alexander's door and let out a breath. She knew what she was doing and she know what the consequences were. She took another deep breath before knocking on the door. Then she stood there waiting for the door
Valentina just got out of the shower and decided to dress for training. She brushed her wet hair and put it in a ponytail. Then she put on lotion, deodorant, and her underwear. She pulled on a white workout set that she got from her mom. Her mom always complained about the contents of her closet but also helped to contribute to the "problem." That reminded Valentina that she needed to call her mom so she decided that she would call her before she went to train with Alexander. So she walked to her bedside table and picked up her phone, going to the phone app and tapping on her mom's contact. Mrs. Sharpe answered immediately. "Oh my God, Val. I thought you were dead," she said and Valentina rolled her eyes even though her mom couldn't see her, and chuckled at her too. "Don't be so melodramatic, mother," she said while still laughing. "You were supposed to call me sooner, Val,” she said in a sad and concerned tone. "I know, and I am sorry, mom. It has just been so overwhelming," V
Valentina felt really sick. The motorcycle was extremely fast and she had never planned on ever getting on one. Then again she had never planned on getting on a plane, but Alexander must insist on killing her. He seemed to be enjoying this, but she not so much. "When are we going to stop Alexander?" she yelled at the top of her lungs while her arms tightened around his torso. Valentina could feel him laughing at her and now more than ever, all she wished for was to punch him. He didn't answer her question so she just kept her head down to avoid the view of them moving. ***She had been on this death trap for about twenty to thirty minutes. That was extremely long and she hadn't opened her eyes either. She felt the motorcycle start to slow down and eventually it stopped all together. With her head still down, Alexander took off his helmet, and her arms were still tightly wrapped around him. "Val, you can let go now. We are here,” he said and she could hear the amusement in his ton
For the rest of these two weeks, Alexander had been taking Valentina on daily dates, and they had also been having the usual awkward dinners with the king and Queen. They usually said little things to Valentina and to each other. But today would be the day that Valentina would start her Queen's training. She was still laying on her bed and she just got off the phone with her brother, Jamie. He was doing well and he told Valentina that their mom and dad were doing fine too. So she guessed that they were handling the change good enough. She heard a knock on her door and she already knew that it was not Alexander because she would be able to smell him by now. Also now that they were both marked, she could kind of feel him when he was close. "Come in," she called out. The door soon opened and Valentina sat up in the bed with her hair everywhere. It was Sarah and Nora, and after a while Valentina was able to tell the difference. Sarah was the talkative one and she kind of had a slimm
This was it for Valentina. She was all ready for the ball and it was freaking her out. She would have to socialize with every single Alpha and Luna of each pack. She didn't unusually get nervous like this but when did she usually become the future Queen of all werewolves?Valentina was wearing a beautiful lace black ball gown and she was all ready. Sarah told her that they were waiting for Alexander to come and get her. They were being introduced together as a couple tonight and she had tried to get Sarah to put some foundation on her mark to cover it, but the girl wouldn't do it. Sarah had laughed at Valentina very loudly when she asked her, to while refusing politely. He is here, Valentina thought. “The prince is here. I can walk out of the room on my own, thank you," she said and turned to open the door. There her Prince Charming was with a devilish smirk on his handsome face. His hair looked so soft, and he wearing a very elegant black suit. To Valentina, he couldn't look more
When Valentina got to their floor, she wanted nothing but to leave. In all the time that she and Alexander had spent together he had never once mentioned this. She felt like a fool because she hadn't slept with anyone else before she found her mate and he had. But then what could she expect from a prince that was loved by the whole kingdom? she asked herself. The way he was drooled over by a lot of females, there was no way he could be a virgin. Valentina could feel his presence again and she already knew that he was coming. Even his scent was getting stronger and stronger. "Stop right there! I am not joking with you, Valentina!" he said, his strong voice disrupting the silence in the hallway, and her feet immediately stopped. "Go into my room," he said but she was still facing away from him. "No," she said with a firm voice to let him know that she was not playing with his princely ass too. "Don't make me repeat myself again. Just go in," he said in a deeper voice, and he was
Two months laterThere had been multiple attacks against the palace since the night of the ball. The Queen had been a lot moodier and angry, and she barely spoke at dinner. Even when she did speak, it was always short and simple, almost as if she was counting the number of words she used. Alexander and Valentina had been spending less time together because he was always with the King trying to figure out who was behind those attacks. She hadn't seen that bitch Kayla in a long time, and when she asked Alexander he said he had her banished from the palace. Sarah and Nora were safe and the palace was always swarming with guards even to the point where it was really hard for Valentina to go on a run. Even when she did go on a run, she had to have at least fifty gaurds positioned outside the palace and within the territory. Today was an important day for Valentina because her mom, dad, and Jamie were coming to visit for a week. She was so excited to see Jamie. He was really annoying bu
I really don't understand how one could be so dishonest and prideful, Alexander thought. His father had yet to give him the footage of the attack that happened at the ball two months ago. Though he wished he could just order him, Alexander couldn't because the man was still technically the King and his father. Alexander did not know what his father was hiding but he knew he would find out soon. It had put his mate in danger and he refused to lose her just like that, so soon after finding her. Speaking of that fiery queen wolf, her parents were finally here and Alexander was kind of nervous to finally have a thorough conversation with them. He had just whisked their daughter away and he hadn't even really talked to her father or brother. Her mom seemed to be the complete opposite of Valentina and that surprised him so much because she really adored her.Maybe it was because of the lack of affection Alexander got from his own mother. For a while she was the greatest mother ever and
It was an unassuming house, a three-story building, red brick with black shutters on a corner lot of the quiet street. Alex had parked two blocks away. Gareth and Matt took the back while Matilda and Alex approached from the street. Brown leaves were scattered on the lawn. Two maple trees and some miniature shrubs offered little in the way of concealment, so they stayed to one side of the building. "Hang back," Alex told Matilda."Yeah, right," she scoffed. Alex glanced at his mother and saw an annoying smirk. Yes! She would find this interesting, he thought dryly. Especially after what she had done earlier. Maltilda had helped them distract the demon wolves and even after then when Alex was on the verge of death. When he was torn between two critical decisions, Maltida had also been the one that rescued all the pack warriors. She had brought out their ice cannon and shot it at all the demon wolves, freezing them to death immediately. How she had done it so expertly and swift, he
Val woke up to a dark room. The sniffed around and the room smelt stange. Unfamiliar. Her head was banging and her throat was dry and scorching. Her whole body aches from having slept in the hard rugged ground. For some minutes, she could not remember what had happened and what she was doing in such a strange place. "Anyone there?" She called out as loud as she could as she blinked rapidly against the dark room. She tried to rack her brain to remember how she got. Wait a minute... she had gotten to the entrance of the witches kingdom, then she had heard a sound behind her, then she had turned to see some group of scary looking men, and then they had.. "Ohhh," she mouthed as her face contorted with horror. Yes! she had felt a very sharp and intense pain when they had hit her with something on her head. She did not even know what the thing was. It had happened too fast and she wasn't expecting it. Then she remembered something else, and this time, her breath caught hard in her throat.
By the time Val was done bathing, it was already noon. She was now feeling much better and stronger. She felt her muscles loosen and untie themselves in anticipation of a great journey. Pulling a blouse over her head, a smile spread across her face as she chortled quietly. Earlier today, it had been so funny when she had asked her mother about Sophie and her expression had changed. She had thought of the worst things that could have happened to her baby. But as it turned out, nothing had happened. Her mother had just decided to tease her a little, which had gone all wrong. She had been so vexed with her mom that she had demanded to be left alone for some times. But thank goodness, Sophie's condition had improved. Well technically, not really. The boils and rashes were still covering her skin, only that she had stopped her shrieking noise. The only thing she does when she feels the pain is to cry quietly. It was as if she had gotten used to it. Sophie was such a strong baby. As li
Roshan stood in front of his warriors, moving stealthily around and listening carefully for the slightest movement. Where could the Red Moon Pack bastards have gone? he wondered. He scanned the entire environment, he looked up at the sky, still he found not even a trace of them. He began stamping his feet on the ground to check if they had dug the earth up to cover themselves, but the ground was still as sturdy as ever. Then out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a foot track. He snorted contemptuously. Bastards been thinking they're smart, huh? He thought. He started tracing the track, moving carefully forward. Then he came to the end of the track. He gritted his teeth in anger. "Bastards!" he growled angrily. He started going from where he had first seen the track. All of a sudden, he stopped as if a thought had occured to him. He put a finger in his lips, signalling his pack members to be as quiet as they could be. Slowly, he raised his head up to stare up at the trees. "Stand
The demon wolves looked around to know where the sound was coming from. Even Alex was surprised. They could still hear the snapping of bones but they didn't know where it was coming from. Then there was a howl of pain followed by the ripping sound of clothes. Everyone turned in the direction of the sound. It was Kendra. She had shifted to her wolf form. Even the demon wolf that had been dragging her by her hair was surprised, he hadn't even noticed her slipping from his grasp and transforming. Without warning, Alex gave Kendra's daughter to one of the lower rank warriors. "Give the pup to her mother!" He instructed. "Alexander, you're making a hell of mistake!" the Alpha demon wolf said, revealing his slightly crooked fangs. He was glaring at Alex aggressively, and an intense murderous intention was evidently written on his face. "Bring it on, monster!" The Alpha demon wolf growled at him. He seemed not to like being called a monster. Good. Alex noted. "If you think anyone will b
Alex's wolf, Gary shook his body and his white furs bounced proudly on his back. "Mom, you're staying right here," he repeated. And was out of the office in the next moment as the office door banged shut. Once outside, Gary let out a howl drawing the attention of a demon wolf that had his back to him. The demon wolf turned and the only thing Alex could think about for a while was, what the fuck? What kind of a creature was this? he thought. In fact they shouldn't be called demon wolves at all, rather they should be called demon monster because what in goodness name was this? The demon wolf was twice in size as a normal werewolf, and he had a very ugly face. To Alex, the demon wolf that had just turned to look at him looked like shit. The face was that of a human, then he had very long fangs, longer than a regular werewolf's fangs and his claws were showing in his feet and hands. He also had two horns etched deep into two sides of his skull. He had the features of a human and wolf. I
"Alpha Alex, this is not about shutting up. This is more serious than you could ever think. Those people, they are demons, they spit out fire. They're..." "Just be quiet!" he ordered angrily. "Alex, I want to be quiet but..." "Will you wait a damn minute and let me process what you're trying to say. Let me fucking think!" Alex was gradually losing his cool. At any time, he could pounce on Gareth and beat up till he got his blood flowing in this office. His wolf was unleashing a blood sucking aura, and he was breathing so hard to calm himself down and think properly. Matilda could feel the murderous aura emanating from her son. She knew exactly what it meant, and she couldn't let that happen. The beast in him wanted blood, and he would get it whether by force or any other way. "Alex, let's just calm down and listen to what Gareth has to say," she told him pleadingly. Alex shot a hard glance, then his softened gradually and his breathing slowly came to normal. "Alright, Gareth. G
Val woke up alone on top of her bed, still dressed in her pyjamas, a comforter keeping her warm. It was nearly ten o'clock in the morning, and she had no idea where Alex was or where he had gone to. The real question here was did he even sleep on the bed with her? He'd obviously carried her to the bed. She just knew it, but the realization was both heartwarming and unnerving. She wondered if he'd slept at all. She was guessing not. He was probably still angry with her for what she had done yesterday. He was probably still thinking about how stubborn and strong headed she had been. Trying to go on a journey with Sophie alone, and without protection. And the part that would pain him the most was that she hadn't even listened to him at all. Would he hold it against her? Would he start giving her the silent treatment? She swung her legs off the bed and headed for the shower. She needed to redeem herself, She needed to know if he was still angry with her. She needed to know if he had
It was a cold and beautiful morning. Only that it wasn't that beautiful to Alex. He had just woken. Well, scratch that. He didn't even sleep at all. If only a wink for a few minutes could be called a sleep, then let's just say he had just woken up from that sleep. He was feeling restless. Every bone in his body seemed to be complaining. And he knew the reason for that. Something in his guts was telling him he had made a very terrible mistake by letting his wife and daughter go without anyone to protect them. He knew that Val was a little bit overconfident about her fighting skills and abilities as a warrior. But that might not be just enough to protect her and from the sorcery of those evil witches. He walked to the window, lifted the window blinds. A gentle breeze rustled in through and whipped past his face, laying its gentle cold hands on his face. He inhaled in the fresh air that strangely smelled of orange blossoms. He stood resting his hands on the frame, and stared across th
