Chapter 5

A luxurious Bentley was speeding toward the film studio on the broad road.

Inside the vehicle, Finn Miller was sitting in the passenger’s seat. He turned toward the man in the back seat and reported respectfully, “Mr. Langley, Miss Pileggi is filming a scene tonight around nine. We should be able to reach there from here in about half an hour. Do you need to prepare anything on the way? Maybe a bouquet or something…”

“It’s fine.”

The man in the back seat sounded cold. His handsome face was filled with impatience.

He tugged on his tie in frustration and unbuttoned two of his shirt’s buttons. The gold-rimmed glasses on his face reflected the light coldly. The atmosphere around him was tense, and it felt quite stressful to be inside the car.

Finn knew that his boss was not in a good mood. He quickly shut his mouth, not saying anything else.

Nathan Langley was in a terrible mood.

There were a few meetings planned tonight, and he was forced to visit his so-called ‘fiancée’ by his grandfather.

He was reminded of how his grandfather had lied about being seriously ill five years ago, using the excuse to dupe him into sleeping with Nicole Pileggi at the hotel. The memory infuriated Nathan!

Nathan had no feelings for Nicole. It was to the extent that he would even forget the existence of this woman.

That woman did not get pregnant, but she was smart. She understood that forcing anything on him would only incur unwanted consequences. Hence, she had been using her career as an excuse to delay things.

Nathan was more than happy about this. Unfortunately, he could not prevent the old man from pushing him into doing something he did not want to do.

Eva brought along her children and delivered the flowers to the shooting location of The Rest of My Life with You as promised.

Due to the amount of flowers, it took some time for her to hand everything over. That was why Eva got her children to stand quietly by the side.

The two little ones were clearly unable to sit still. They ran into the crowd in a blink of an eye.

Nicole had just finished doing her makeup and was going over her script with the director.

The sharp-eyed Mia spotted her and immediately said excitedly, “Max, Max, I see Nicole…”

Max was following behind Mia and spotted Nicole as well.

Nicole was wearing an elegant, champagne-colored gown as she was about to shoot a scene where she was being proposed to. Her hair was styled up high, and she wore a priceless piece of jewelry around her neck. She looked exquisite and distinguished.

Many of the crew members were telling her how beautiful she looked.

It was then that Nicole's assistant, Amy, suddenly came running to her. She leaned close to Nicole’s ear and whispered, “Nicole, Mr. Langley is here!”

Nicole’s eyes brightened with a surprised look on her face. “Really?”

Amy smiled. “Of course. Just look…”

As she was speaking, a tall figure came walking in from outside the shooting location.

A man with broad shoulders and a slender waist wearing a black shirt walked in. He looked tall with black suit pants on.

His features were exquisite, much like God’s work of art. His eyes were deep and dark, reminiscent of a night sky filled with stars. The look in his eyes was cold and distant. He was a man of elegance and charisma, exuding a divine presence in this mortal world.

The man’s appearance silenced the entire crew.

What came next was the whispers of admiration coming from the women around.

“Who is that? He's so handsome…”

“Just look at the car he has parked outside. It’s worth more than five million!”

“Even the male lead in our show can’t compare to him!”

“Who is he here for?”

The man ignored the discussions happening around him. Everyone watched as he walked straight toward Nicole.

It was hard to hide the gentle look in her eyes, which was mixed with infatuation and a tinge of pride.

This man was her fiancé!

There was a big, bright smile on her face as she said with surprise, “Nathan, what are you doing here?”

Nathan looked quite nonchalant as he replied in a business-like tone, “Grandfather asked me to stop by.”

The smile on Nicole’s face stiffened as a slight look of grievance appeared in her eyes. However, it quickly disappeared as she put up a coquettish attitude to say, “That’s okay. I’m happy that you’re here…”

As they were speaking, it finally dawned on everyone else.

“I had heard that Nicole had a fiancé. I guess it’s true.”

“Wow, they look good standing together. They look made for each other!”

Everyone began discussing them enviously.

Nicole was filled with pride as she listened to their chatter.

The man in front of her was the top magnate of the South Creston District, a position that was coveted by everyone!
