Chapter 480 Peaceful Departure

Eva was seated on the front passenger seat in the black Rolls-Royce. She stared blankly outside the window of the car as the view flew past her.

Her grandfather was gone.

She still could not believe it. Her hand grasped tightly on the phone. Nathan was next to her as he drove, and he sighed when he saw her this way.

He made a sharp turn, and Eva was jolted out of her daze by the sharp screeching sound of the wheels. She suddenly realized she had to call Eugene.

“Dad.”

She said while sobbing, “Come to Central Hospital. Grandpa just passed away.”

There was silence on the other end of the call. Eugene did not say anything for a long time, and Eva did not push for a reply. All she did was cry softly.

Her grandfather was gone. Eugene had lost a father, and she had lost a grandfather.

The only family she had who loved her the most was gone.

It was the longest two minutes in the world, but Eugene finally answered forlornly, “Alright, I’ll be over there soon.”
