Chapter 30

He put down his book and went into the bathroom.

Inside the foggy, limited space, he saw the woman on the floor, looking quite pale.

The usual cold expression on Nathan’s face wavered slightly. He quickly strode toward her and crouched in front of Eva.

“Are you alright, Miss Lane?”

He reached out to gently pat her on the face.

Eva did not move.

Bending down, Nathan circled his hand around her waist to carry her in his arms. He strode out of the bathroom while shouting, “Finn!”

Finn was standing in wait outside. When he heard his boss calling out to him suddenly, he quickly rushed in. “What do you need, Mr. Langley?”

Nathan said sternly, “Get a doctor here immediately. Right now!”

After that, he carried Eva to his bed.

Finn did not ask further questions when he saw the situation. He went downstairs to make the call.

About ten minutes later, Nathan’s personal doctor came over.

Nathan pointed to Eva, who was on the bed, and said to the doctor, “She passed out in the bathroom.
