Nathan headed over to Cloudy Hills Estate early the next day.

Eva hardly slept last night, and there were dark circles under her eyes.

Nathan did not comment on it when he noticed them. All he said was, “You should get ready. We’re going over to the Lane household later.”

“Why are we going over there?”

Eva looked a little down. She seemed tired as well.

Nathan felt a little helpless about it. “We shouldn’t be planning the wedding in such a careless manner. We have to do this the right way and get married in a proper and legitimate manner.”

Old Mr. Lane appeared. He was happy to see Nathan treating the wedding seriously and formally. He gave Eva a push. “What are you waiting for, silly girl? Hurry up and get dressed.”
