CHAPTER 69: HE WHO SOWS WICKEDNESS REAPS TROUBLE
Jessica had a relatively peaceful few days after her encounter with Kevin. She had gone to work without issues but she had been intentional about picking and dropping off her children herself. On Friday, Jessica attended the children’s concert and was pleasantly surprised when Richard made an appearance. The lawyer’s visit had also cemented her resolve to recover her property when she assembled a file of Ella’s documents and a trail of her correspondence and money transfers between Ella and her half brother Kevin. At the end of the reflection, Ella had decided to accept Blake’s term. She consoled herself with the realisation that she did not have many friends or family members to visit. However, it was regrettable that Ella would not be able to pursue her career under the said conditions. She had brought up the issue with the lawyer, who had responded by explaining that Blake would give Ella a monthly allowance in addition to his legal assistance in acquisition of her property.
