Chapter TwentyFive

**The Next Morning**

I laid happily in Alexander's arms as I slowly woke up and just enjoyed the feeling of his strong arms wrapped around me. I had my head on his chest so I could hear his heart beating and it was such a relaxing sound.

‘I know you’re awake’ I heard him moan sleepily and I looked up at him, smiling.

‘I never said I wasn’t’. I leaned up and gave him a quick kiss on the lips before snuggling back down again.

‘You should move in with me’. I didn’t respond at first because I wasn’t sure if in my half-awake, half sleepy state, I had heard him correctly. ‘Hey? Move in

Chapter TwentySix** A few weeks later **Things had been a bit stressful recently. I moved in with Alex a few weeks ago, as planned and Ron did everything he could to stop it. He really really didn’t approve. Even Jemma told him to just back off and let me live my life the way I want to, with Alex, but he was so flat against it and to be honest, It was starting to drive a wedge between us.Everyone else was happy for us though which was nice. I tried not to get Ron or his attitude to get to me, but at the end of the day, he was my dad and it hurt that he wasn’t supportive of someone I clearly loved very much.Alex told me the night I moved in, Ron had pulled him aside and basically threatened him to try and get A

Chapter TwentySeven**A week later**Alex came back from the bar with Harry and Jackson and proceeded to pass out the drinks. As a sort of ‘’Last Harrah’’, My friends had taken the four of us out for a night out. Jamie’s brother was a co-owner of a nightclub in the city centre and managed to get us all into the VIP section which seemed pretty awesome.I’ll be honest, I was really annoyed when Ron made Harry and Jackson come with us, it was like he couldn’t accept that me and Alex were going away together ‘’unsupervised’’ but of course, he said it was ‘’for our own safety’’. What SS rival is going to follow us all the way to the United Kingdom to attack us?!

Chapter TwentyEightAs soon as we were in the bedroom, I slammed the door closed behind myself and instantly pounced on Alex, making us both fall back onto the bed. I was on top of him so felt slightly more in control than normal, normally he takes the lead but… I don’t know, maybe it was the insane amount of alcohol in my system, maybe it was because I was in my old bedroom and felt more in charge, either way, I WANTED to be in control and Alex realised that pretty quickly. Our kissing continued as we moved into a sitting position so it was easier for me to unbutton the nice, black button up shirt he had put on this evening, and throw it randomly on the floor… followed quickly by my dress and I pushed him back down again, shimmying down his body, trailing kisses, until I reached his trousers. I stole a cheeky look up at him as

Chapter TwentynineBreakfast so the next morning was just so awkward. There was clearly tension but no one wanted to bring it up. So... We sat and ate in complete silence. We all had a simple breakfast of toast or cereal and coffee. I hadn't even looked at Amanda or Jackson, let alone spoken to either of them. Sure, you could argue it wasn't my business, but I just couldn't believe Amanda would do something like this KNOWING he had a family! I was so ashamed of her and I was just flat out pissed off with him.Eventually, what sounded like a Skype call, cut through the awkward silence and everyone checked their phones to see who's it was. Conveniently, it was Jackson’s phone and the caller was Cleo. As he excused himself from the table, I couldn’t help but steal a glance at my friend, she kept her eyes firmly on the table. He didn

Ron told the guys that they had business to discuss when we got back to the garage.Jesus, couldn’t we have 5 minutes to relax first? Apparently not..Things had been a little awkward those last few days while we were in England. Amanda never did come back around and nor did any of my other friends. I had text them the last night but none answered. I guess that part of my life was over. It was sad because they were my friends, people I had grown up with, but if that's how it was, then fine. I was more than happy wi

Chapter ThirtyNine - FINAL CHAPTER I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed, using my hands to flatten out any of the imperfections on my depressing black dress. It was the funeral today. The day I had been dreading for weeks I wasn’t ready to say my goodbyes just yet. I felt like I hadn’t had long enough with him yet. A lot of people still don’t understand or know what happened. One minute he was here, alive, then the next... He was gone. Just like that. Due to it being a shooting and him dying in the hospital, Police were involved but of course, Allan made it go away so the club could deal with it all themselves. In their own way, I guess. I don’t know how he was able to make it disappear off the police radar, I didn’t as

Chapter Thirty Eight** A few Weeks Later **‘Good Morning Harley, How are you today?’ Doctor Matthews asked, coming into the room, followed behind by his students that were shadowing him on his rounds. I smiled and said I was doing fine and asked if there was any news… but of course there wasn’t.I had gotten to know the doctors and nurses here quite well over the past few weeks. I rarely left Alex’s room, to the point they had actually provided me with a bed to sleep in now. It wasn’t comfortable... But it was more comfortable than the chair and meant I didn’t need to go home at night anymore.I only left when I absolutely needed to, for new clothes or food.

Chapter ThirtySeven Luckily, The chair next to Alex’s bed was big and comfy enough that I could curl up in a ball and sit for hours… which I had been doing. I stayed with him the whole time, One by one, the other guys came in to see him, but I stayed put. I was scared that if I left him, he’d...well, he’d leave me.. Forever, and I wasn’t going to let that happen. As far as I knew, everyone had gone home. It was very late but luckily, when they realised I wasn’t leaving, the nursing staff brought me a blanket and allowed me to stay with him. I mean, what was the harm? The beeping of his machines, keeping him alive, were a horrific constant reminder of where we were and what was going on. I looked out the window, I couldn’t see anything. It was pitch black and most of the outside

Harry managed to calm me down long enough to tell me he was going to call the guys and find out where they were and what was going on, but when he tried, none of them were answering their phones. I was getting impatient.‘If they brought him in in an ambulance, we would probably be in the emergency room… or at the very least, they will know where he is, right?’‘Yeah, I guess, but-’‘Well then let’s go!’. I shouted, grabbing Harry’s hand and pulling him towards the hospital entrance. He stopped and pulled me back.

Sure, he COULD face backlash and some blame for his involvement in that, but it would mean his Club and daughter believed the bullshit. Believed that he wasn’t the one to pull the trigger and end the life of his once best friend, Alexander Coates.Ron rode in front of the others, How it always was.
