Chapter Eleven

** A few days later **

I’ve been avoiding Jemma for a few days, not really wanting to see or deal with her to be completely honest, so when Sarah called and invited me out shopping, I jumped at the chance to be out of the clubhouse for a few hours.

I didn’t have much money, so I wasn’t going to go wild, but it turned out Sarah just wanted to grab some bits for the baby. It was cute, seeing all the little clothes and shoes.

‘So, are you excited?’ I asked as we walked down the baby aisle of the supermarket, Sarah’s cart already filled with diapers, wipes and some other bits and bobs. She stopped at the bottles and loaded a bunch into the cart too.

Chapter TwelveSarah dropped me off outside the clubhouse and drove off. I felt so bad for her. I really, really hope Harry is ok! Surely Jemma would know more, hopefully, she was here. I ran up the yard and into the office, but it was empty.‘Shit!’. Turning around, I headed into the clubhouse. Eric and some of the others were in there, and luckily, so was she. ‘What happened? Is he ok?!’ I asked frantically. Jemma came over to me, putting her arm around my shoulder and took me to sit down.‘Harry was attacked’. I nodded, knowing that part. ‘He’s going to survive it’. I let out a breath I hadn’t realised I had been keeping inside and dropped my head into my hands. I was so glad, Jesus Christ, I was so glad!

Chapter ThirteenWalking into the club, it was busy, very busy. One of the women, Erica, I think, showed me a photo of the man we were looking for. She made a joke about how he wasn’t attractive and should be easy for me to ‘’pick up’’ If only I had that confidence. I just felt like a mess right now. After making more than a few rounds of the whole place, there was no sign of the man in the photo I had seen. We even split up to check all the areas just to make sure we weren’t missing him while we checked one space, but he wasn’t here.Stacy went and asked the bartender if he looked familiar, but that proved pointless too, the bartender had never seen him... Apparently.Satisfied

Chapter FourteenWalking into the club, the music instantly deafened us, but luckily, the man we were looking for was sitting at the bar. Easy enough… so far. The girls split off and went in different directions but they assured me that they would be keeping an eye and the newbies were outside, watching too. We wouldn’t be able to get out of this club without something seeing, so I felt safe enough… for now.I made my way to the bar and sat down next to him.‘What do you want?’ The bartender yelled over the music, just barely audible.‘Jack and coke!’. He nodded and set about making my drink. The guy next to me, I didn’t even know his name, Jemma never told me, Hadn’t so much as looke

Not everyone reads the comments I reply to or the comment I posted with an update so I figured this was the next best option. As of today (21st April 2021), This book has officially been marked as signed, yay! However, Goodnovel has told me it will take a few days for the system to sync it all up and register this book under the benefits of a signed book. It should only take a couple more days and then I will post the rest of the chapters that I have written (Up until Chapter 30 currently - over 30k words). I haven't completed the book YET as for a few weeks, I have been dealing with personal things and editing another one of my books, however, the book IS about 90% completed so there will only be a few more chapters to come after the bulk I will be posted in just a few short days.Anyway, I hope you're excited to see what's next for Harley and her outlaws!!!!

Chapter Fifteen‘Yeah, it's me. God, I've missed your voice’. I had to cover my mouth so I didn’t let out a loud sob. The tears were already falling down my face uncontrollably. I had waited so long just to hear his voice, it was like a dream.Had I fallen asleep? Was I dreaming? I pinched myself and then silently winced. Nope. I wasn’t dreaming.‘I miss you so much!’. He sighed. ‘I love you’.‘I love you too. Listen, I don’t have long-’ It hurt my heart knowing he would likely be gone again in a few minutes… till god knows how long. ‘-Jemma told me that you’re hav

Chapter Sixteen**Two Nights Later**Everything went great last night. Right according to plan. We got the second guy alone, the newbies turned up and took him away. Problem sorted. Now, however, was my time to go and do this last one alone. I had been dreading it all day. Admittedly, I’m alone when I make my move on these guys, but I knew that the other girls were around in the club in case anything happened, this time, they weren’t. I was in there solo and I was SHITTING myself.Jemma had given me some money to go out into town today and find something ‘’new’’ and ‘’sexy’’. Sarah had come with me to give me her honest option and to just

Chapter SeventeenThe ride back to the creeps house was a fast one, he lived locally, he told me that before we had even got into his car. I tried to be ‘’sneaky’’ and check to see if Jemma’s car or the van the guys used were around but I didn’t see them. I just had to trust that they were... Just hiding very, very well…He kept his hand on my thigh the whole way there. It made me uncomfortable, but of course, I didn’t let that show. NOTHING about this made me comfortable, but I just repeated to myself once more, this was for Alex… and the others.Think of Harry who was attacked, Sarah who could have lost her husband, their children, their unborn child, Jemma, Cleo, everyone else who needs these guys home.

Chapter Eighteen**About a month Later**I had my bedroom door open, people had been coming in and out of the clubhouse, making noise, but I didn’t care enough to find out what was going on.. Or be bothered enough to go and close the door so I couldn’t hear... Whatever it was going on.I had been keeping in my room, again. After all the shit that happened with Jemma and the incident with the plan going south, in a very bad way, I just wanted to keep to myself. I’ve been trying to stay positive but keeping myself to myself... I haven’t really heard much news about the guys...It's hard to stay positive when you don't have anything to be positive about.

Chapter ThirtyNine - FINAL CHAPTER I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed, using my hands to flatten out any of the imperfections on my depressing black dress. It was the funeral today. The day I had been dreading for weeks I wasn’t ready to say my goodbyes just yet. I felt like I hadn’t had long enough with him yet. A lot of people still don’t understand or know what happened. One minute he was here, alive, then the next... He was gone. Just like that. Due to it being a shooting and him dying in the hospital, Police were involved but of course, Allan made it go away so the club could deal with it all themselves. In their own way, I guess. I don’t know how he was able to make it disappear off the police radar, I didn’t as

Chapter Thirty Eight** A few Weeks Later **‘Good Morning Harley, How are you today?’ Doctor Matthews asked, coming into the room, followed behind by his students that were shadowing him on his rounds. I smiled and said I was doing fine and asked if there was any news… but of course there wasn’t.I had gotten to know the doctors and nurses here quite well over the past few weeks. I rarely left Alex’s room, to the point they had actually provided me with a bed to sleep in now. It wasn’t comfortable... But it was more comfortable than the chair and meant I didn’t need to go home at night anymore.I only left when I absolutely needed to, for new clothes or food.

Chapter ThirtySeven Luckily, The chair next to Alex’s bed was big and comfy enough that I could curl up in a ball and sit for hours… which I had been doing. I stayed with him the whole time, One by one, the other guys came in to see him, but I stayed put. I was scared that if I left him, he’d...well, he’d leave me.. Forever, and I wasn’t going to let that happen. As far as I knew, everyone had gone home. It was very late but luckily, when they realised I wasn’t leaving, the nursing staff brought me a blanket and allowed me to stay with him. I mean, what was the harm? The beeping of his machines, keeping him alive, were a horrific constant reminder of where we were and what was going on. I looked out the window, I couldn’t see anything. It was pitch black and most of the outside

Chapter Thirty SixWe arrived at the Hospital and I climbed off the bike, Yelling hysterically that we needed to go and find him... Now! Harry managed to calm me down long enough to tell me he was going to call the guys and find out where they were and what was going on, but when he tried, none of them were answering their phones. I was getting impatient.‘If they brought him in in an ambulance, we would probably be in the emergency room… or at the very least, they will know where he is, right?’‘Yeah, I guess, but-’‘Well then let’s go!’. I shouted, grabbing Harry’s hand and pulling him towards the hospital entrance. He stopped and pulled me back.

Chapter Thirty-ThreeRon’s Point of View.I left the warehouse and started riding back to the garage, Only stopping to throw the gun into the creek on the way. It wasn’t on the usual ride to or from the warehouse, so none of the others would ever find it. It was a cheap throwaway, Not part of the club or my own private stash of weapons. Absolutely nothing to point a finger at am.I told Jemma I was working late last night and that I was staying at the clubhouse so even if she wouldn't think twice about me not being there when she woke up this morning. I’d simply tell her that I overslept and missed the meeting with Alex and the DA’s. They weren’t expecting Alex, so the ‘’shot on sight’’ excuse would fly. It would caus

I smiled to myself, glad that I had timed it, literally, perfectly. He came straight into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.‘What did you make?’‘Nothing amazing, just some homemade Spaghetti Bolognese. I told him.
