Erwan hissed in fury and tried to dial the number again, but to no avail, the receiver didn’t answer it.

“He’s someone close, he’s watching you and everyone around you,” he said, standing up. He walks to and fro, his forehead creased while he snaps his fingers there and then. It doesn’t seem like he is talking to me, it is more like he is talking to himself. “I knew it, he has a plan. He is just waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. I need to figure out what he’s planning,” he mumbled, still pacing in the living room.

“Erwan,” I said, holding his arm but it doesn’t seem like he heard me because he is still mumbling to himself.

“Erwan!” I yelled and gripped both of his arms.

He stopped and turned to me. His eyes looks dazed as if he is trying to figure out who I am. He narrowed his eyes and shook his head. He inhaled a deep sigh and released it in a few seconds.

Shane’s POV “Shane, where are you?” the voice of Olivia greeted me when I answered my phone. “I’m on my way, okay? Don’t worry, I’m going to be there on time.” I said as I searched for the key to my car in my wardrobe. “Seriously, baby Shane? Are you going to be late for this special day of your two best friends?” her voice is slightly rising but I know that she is not mad. “Love you, Oliv. Have to hang up now, bye!” I made a kissing sound on the phone and ended it. When I found the key, I grabbed my handbag and went to the garage to start my car. The beach is packed with people when I reached it, Olivia and Jase invited too many people. “Shane, finally!” a voice called out and I turned to her. It’s Liz. She is wearing the same white dress I am wearing. “Liz!” I went to her and kissed both of her cheeks before asking her Olivia’s whereabouts. “Oh, my gosh. Olivia is freaking out, she thought you

We are still seeing each other but not consistent as before, we watch movies, date, play cards and spent times that we could cherish and look back to, but we never once talked about what happened in my office. Neither one of us wants to have a conversation about him, neither one of us wants to face the reality behind our little fantasy that we could still be happy.“Are you still up?” I checked the sender of the message when I picked up my phone from the bedside table upon hearing its beep.
