I went back to our shared room when the police came to the scene. I overheard that the man’s name was Jake, and he indeed had a wife that suddenly disappeared one day.
‘If that is the missing fairy, then Lord Beike really loves playing.’
When I returned to the room, the air was serious and tense. Draven and Jethro turned to me and to the thing on the table. I nodded my head and put down the handkerchief from my bosom.
“Just as expected. Lord Beike was on our tail all this time.” Draven shook his head and slammed his hands on the table.
“How did we not know that we were being followed when we come here?” Jethro was also confused.
