Xavier and I were in my room, sitting on the bed with me between his legs, listening to the soft music and watching the pitter patter of rain outside. It had been hours since we stayed in this position, in comfortable silence. He was playing with my hair locks. I was fiddling with his wedding band while resting my head on his chest which heaved with each of his deep breath.

"Xavier, are you sleepy?" I tilted my heae slightly and found him already staring down at me.

"No, and you?" He asked with an upward curve of his lips.

"Perhaps or maybe not, it's only eleven." I replied. Suddenly, a loud thunderbolt strike which made me flinch in fear. I was shaking profusely.

"Fuck! Calm down, baby girl. I am here, you're safe with me." He hugged me protectively and kissed my hairs.

"Just hold me for a moment, I'll be fine." I whispered and rested my face on his chest.
