"Does it hurt?" I asked the big man who winced when I pressed cotton pad with antiseptic liquid on his bruised knuckles.

"Do it fast."

He said without sparing me a glance. He was acting stubbornly and didn't let me clean up his wounds until I forced him to sit and apply ointment on his bruises and scratches. He had been quiet since the encounter.
