Chapter 21: Gray’s House

SERENA’S POV

I could not believe it. I did not want to believe it. There were so many questions in my head that kept popping up, and Gray, standing up in front of me while I remained clueless did not help at all.

“You probably had your reason. Anyway, I have to go, Mr. Moore. My secretary and I still have to deal with things.”

I turned my back on him and left the bathroom, not looking back. My pace was slow while I walked, but the more questions that were left unanswered in my mind, the more that it would get faster that I did not realize I was already running.
