Chapter 616 Just Desperate

Caleb had started to understand. When dealing with a woman like Penny, coaxing alone would not work. He needed to use a combination of soft and hard tactics.

When he told her they would not need to do it, just kiss, he was taking a step back. She had immediately agreed.

She had been married for three years but did not realize that sometimes, kissing could be more torturous than doing it.

As Caleb was leaving, Penny walked him to the door.

When he was about to enter the elevator, he turned back to remind her of something.

“Report to my office this afternoon.”

Penny nodded.

Just as the elevator door was about to close, his slender hand pressed against it. He held it open to ask another question.

“Did you throw away your wedding ring?”

Once, she had gotten angry with him over that stupid ring.

Now that she was divorced, she should have thrown the ring away, right?

Penny, who never had a wedding ring, nodded without hesitation. “I've thrown it away.”
