Chapter 285 Mr. Fergerson Is Afraid Ms. Shaw Would Be Jealous

Both of them remained silent. Penny maintained her position without moving, trying her best to stay calm.

Caleb’s slender fingers interlaced as he rubbed them together, washing off the foam. He then reached for a piece of tissue paper nearby and wiped his fingers methodically.

Even though this process took less than a minute, Penny felt as if it lasted an eternity.

Caleb tossed the used tissue paper into a trash bin nearby, and upon seeing her feigned composure, he chuckled.

“Am I that intimidating?”

Usually eloquent, now she seemed scared into silence.

Seeing the conversation reaching this point, Penny had to respond. She looked up at him.

“Mr. Fergerson, you're my boss and my employer. So, of course, I’m intimidated.”

Caleb glanced at the mark behind her ear that was not covered up. She must have been in a rush, so no one pointed it out to her.

“How was your dinner with your husband? Did he enjoy it?”

Given her appearance, had her husband not thought of divorcing her?
