Chapter 168 The Sullivans Were Rather Presumptuous

When he received the call from Sir Fergerson, a trace of mocking disdain appeared in Caleb’s eyes. He said softly, “I understand. I’ll go over once I’m done with the social event.”

He had already helped the Sullivans through two rounds of financing and signed a contract with that woman. The Sullivans should have stayed quiet for a while.

Yet, they now wanted him to personally visit them, giving them that much honor. The Sullivans were rather presumptuous.

Caleb believed that he had already been more than generous to the Sullivans. He had merely left Imperial City in the past, rather than forcefully leave behind a divorce agreement.

He had thought that the woman was also forced into this—just like him—and both were unwilling.

However, upon meeting her, he saw the blatant admiration in her eyes that was so undisguised. She was even filled with ambition. It was simply unpleasant.

He even felt that she had probably incited their marriage in front of Sir Fergerson.
