"Great!" Milo was thrilled that Leon was stalled. He was a moment away from getting through the door and once he was out of the room, he could take advantage of his surroundings to escape. As capable as Leon was, he could not possibly catch him. However, the reality was cruel and before he could get too excited, what happened next shook both Milo and Diego. "You asked for this! Since you two want to die, don't blame me for this! Take this! Hurricane Break!" Leon's expression darkened as Milo was about to escape. Though Milo was an insignificant person to him and it did not matter much if he escaped, Leon was infuriated that the Western Boss and Felton sent someone to attack him, thinking they could do anything they wanted with their influence in the Western region. If he let Milo escape, he would not be able to live with himself. With that thought in mind, Leon backed away from Diego's advance and extended both arms to launch his strongest technique, Hurricane Break.
While Hurricane Break hit Diego, Enzo took a hit as well and was slammed against the wall nearby. Once he landed on the ground, he spat blood like Diego did and felt his bones crushing. Thankfully, Diego took most of the impact and his injuries were not as severe as Diego's. However, he was merely in the Semi-Almighty State and not as powerful as Diego. Even though his injuries were less severe, he was not in any better state and lost all abilities to fight. Naturally, the two of them were not the only ones who took the hit. Due to the wide range of Hurricane Break, the couch and closet inside the room were all damaged and broke into pieces. They crumbled to the ground and the room was instantly in a mess. Leon sighed a breath once Diego and Enzo were defeated. The Hurricane Break required a lot of spiritual energy and he used up at least half of his spiritual energy in this attack. Fortunately, Hurricane Break did not let him down and took Diego and Enzo down in an i
"You just won't behave unless you are beaten! What an idiot!" Leon scoffed and withdrew his foot. "What exactly do you want, kid?" Diego asked darkly. He felt slightly nervous as he did not know what Leon intended to do with them. "It's simple. I have a question for you. If your answers satisfy me, I may consider letting you go," Leon said thoughtfully. "What is it?" The three of them perked up and felt a hint of hope. "Where is the Southern Boss? Is the Western Boss hiding him?" Leon stared intently at the three of them. He already guessed that the Southern Boss was in the western region and this was likely connected to the Western Boss. Now that Leon captured Diego and the other two, he took the opportunity to confront them in the hope of obtaining some information about the Southern Boss. "The Southern Boss?" "What?" "We don't know what you're talking about." Diego and the other two exchanged confused looks. Though the Southern Boss was recovering under the F
"But..." The three of them were rendered speechless by this. "Kid, what exactly do you want? We may have been the ones who attacked you, but you are unscathed. The three of us, on the other hand, are severely injured. If you don't intend on letting us go, are you planning to kill us?" Diego said darkly. He already learned from Felton that Hugh was just an outsider from the southern region with no connections in the western region. Though Hugh was young and formidable with his strength reaching the Almighty State, he was just one person and could not rival the Fermers. As powerful as Hugh may be, he could not defeat the Western Boss and all those who worked for him. To settle the matter in peace or prevent the situation from escalating, Diego assumed that Hugh would let them go as he had no other choice. After all, he could not take their lives as that was a taboo for the Dragon Corps. If Hugh took their lives, he would face retaliation from the Western Boss and the Fermer
"So this kid wants to hand us over to the Dragon Corps," Diego, Milo, and Enzo came to realize Leon's intention when they saw Fletcher and Howard. They knew that Fletcher and Howard were Dragon Guards. Since Leon called them over, it was obvious that Leon intended to hand the three of them over to the Dragon Corps. However, dueling between martial artists happened all the time and under normal circumstances, the Dragon Corps would not intervene unless someone was killed. Since the three of them did not manage to harm Leon, Fletcher and Howard would likely give them a verbal warning and would not punish them. This was no different from letting them go. On top of that, Leon went too far and severely injured the three of them. If they took this opportunity to blame Leon for this, Leon may end up getting a warning from Fletcher and Howard as well. This was hardly beneficial for Leon. The three of them exchanged excited glances and all felt that Leon was far too foolish. N
"Mister Caldicot, Mister Carn, it's normal for martial artists to duel. Though we conflicted with Hugh, we didn't harm him. He was the one who injured us. Even if you are going to arrest someone, it should be him and not us," Diego said in frustration as he attempted to shift the blame to Leon. "Yeah! This was just a duel and we are the victims here!" "How can the Dragon Guards not listen to reasons and arrest the victims instead?" Milo and Enzo chimed in. They both knew Leon was merely an outsider with no connection to the western region. The Fermers, on the other hand, were a formidable force and the Western Boss was the ruler of the underground community in the western region. The Dragon Corps had to take that into account before punishing them. So long as the three of them shifted the blame to Leon, Fletcher, and Howard may not arrest Leon but would surely refrain from arresting the three of them. "Nonsense! First of all, this isn't an ordinary duel. You three attac
"Is this kid that special?" Diego, Milo, and Enzo exchanged confused glances when they saw how respectful Fletcher was to Leon. None of them could figure out how special a youngster from the southern region is. Could it be that Hugh was from a certain powerful family in the southern region with great influence? Even so, that should not matter. This was the western region and the Fermers were only second to the Morrisons in terms of power. Even if Hugh held a high status in the southern region, it would not help him in the western region. The three of them had the support of the Fermers and the Western Boss, so they could not possibly lose to Leon. With that thought in mind, they relaxed and assumed that Fletcher was putting on a show to scare them. That seemed to be the only reasonable explanation. However, what happened next shook them to the core. "Listen well, you three! Mister Wolf here is a Platinum Dragon Guard from the southern region!" With Leon's permission
"Oh no! The Western Boss and Mister Felton have underestimated Hugh," Realization dawned on Diego. He knew that the three of them were not the only ones misled by Felton. The Western Boss was misled as well and that was why they underestimated Hugh. However, Hugh turned out to be a formidable martial artist who was also a high-rank Platinum Dragon Guard with the Dragon Corps' support. As powerful as the Fermers were, they could not rival the Dragon Corps. If the Western Boss and Felton continued to underestimate Hugh or attempt to capture him, they would be digging their graves. Terrified, Diego realized how severe the situation was. He had to get words to the Western Boss somehow to inform him about Hugh's true identity and prevent him from targeting Hugh, or the consequences would be unimaginable. However, the reality was cruel and the three of them were about to be arrested and confined. With their fate out of control, they could not possibly find the chance to get w
