"Fletcher, why are you doing this?" Howard sighed when he heard Mister Orpwood. He already told Fletcher not to bring an outsider into the building. Yet, Fletcher refused to listen to reasons and even brought Leon to meet Mister Orpwood. This was foolish of him and he would likely be punished for it. However, what happened next shook him. "Mister Orpwood, this is Mister Hugh Wolf. He's not an outsider," Fletcher said. Just as he was about to inform Mister Orpwood of Leon's identity, he was interrupted. "Hugh Wolf? That sounds so familiar," Mister Orpwood was taken aback and soon recalled something. Sensing his shock, Fletcher smiled and explained, "Mister Orpwood, he's the one who took the Poisonwielder down on his own." "What? It is him! Wonderful!" Mister Orpwood was shocked and stood abruptly. When he heard the name Hugh, he already guessed who Loen was. Upon hearing Fletcher's affirmation, he burst into laughter. "Mister Wolf, we've finally met again! I've alrea
"I see!" Realization dawned on Howard. He finally understood why Fletcher insisted on inviting Leon here, but soon realized that something was off. "Fletcher, the Poisonwielder is formidable. Though Mister Wolf is capable considering his age, there's still a gap between him and the Poisonwielder. How could he possibly defeat the Poisonwielder on his own?" Howard asked hesitantly. He fought Leon earlier on the mountain and Leon could not even take a single blow from him. This would mean that Leon was in the Semi-Almighty State at best. As one of the eight criminals, the Poisonwielder long reached the Initial Almighty State and was just a few steps away from the Intermediate Almighty State. This made him much stronger than Leon, so Howard could not understand how Leon managed to kill the Poisonwielder. "Well, I don't know what happened, but I think Mister Wolf possesses a treasure in the Intermediate Almighty State and he probably used it against the Poisonwielder," Fletcher
"Oh, is that so? Mister Orpwood, do tell what Mister Wolf is capable of." Howard did not take what Mister Orpwood said seriously. Though Leon was strong for a young man, the top martial artists in the Thirteen Greats were comparable to Leon as well and Howard saw no reason to put Leon in such high regard. From his perspective, Leon was only lucky enough to obtain a powerful treasure and he did not think that Leon possessed actual strength apart from that. It was not like he could defeat the Poisonwielder without the treasure. However, what happened next shook him to his core. "Howard, I'll tell you the truth. Mister Wolf here took down the Demon Lord recently and injured the Southern Boss. Hades showed up at the last moment and ran with the Southern Boss. If even the Demon Lord and the Southern Boss can't defeat him, no treasure could affect Mister Wolf's true power," Mister Oprwood said. The Demon Lord ranked third place on the criminal list and was so for over a decade. E
"Of course! Alfred from the Dragon Corps in the southern region told me this, so how can it be wrong? Mister Wolf is probably stronger than even me," Mister Orpwood nodded with respect. He once saw Hug, but Hugh wore a mask at the time to cover his face so this was the second time he met Hugh. When he first saw Hugh, Hugh took down the Poisonwielder all by himself, and now, he took the Demon Lord down as well. Leon's righteousness impressed him. On top of that, the Demon Lord was close to reaching the Peak Almighty State. Though Mister Orpwood himself recently reached the Peak Almighty State as well using the rare herbs found in the western region, the Demon Lord was known to be ruthless and cunning. If they fought, he may not be able to defeat the Southern Boss, not to mention if he teamed up with the Southern Boss, who was in the Advanced Almighty State. If they teamed up against him, even Mister Orpwood himself would be at a disadvantage. However, they ended up dead
"Um, Mister Caldicot, you're too kind. I just got lucky," Leon responded modestly after a moment of hesitation. He always preferred to keep a low profile. Though there were a few criminals who perished at his hand apart from the Poisonwielder and the Demon Lord, he never told the public about it to avoid trouble. However, Fletcher, Howard, and Mister Orpwood all knew that he eliminated the Demon Lord and injured the Southern Boss. Hence, he could only accept their compliment. "Mister Wolf, you are too modest. How can you kill the Demon Lord and injure the Demon Lord with just luck?" Fletcher shook his head with a smile. Suddenly, he recalled something and added, "I heard from the Dragon Guards in the southern region some time ago that Asmodeus and the Scarlet Thief were taken down recently as well. Mister Wolf, that can't possibly be your doing as well, right?" he joked. All the criminals on the list were cunning and formidable, so they were each challenging to defeat. Unde
"I just got lucky," Leon smiled sheepishly. He never enjoyed the spotlight, so he did not say much. "Mister Wolf, I rarely admire anyone, but I'm truly impressed by you," Howard's tone became extremely respectful. He underestimated Leon before learning his true identity. However, upon learning his true strength and the fact that he eliminated four criminals, he was deeply moved by Leon's incredible talent and righteous nature. "I feel the same!" Fletcher agreed along. Naturally, Mister Orpwood was impressed as well. "You're too kind. It's not that big a deal," Leon said, feeling slightly shy. Suddenly, he recalled why they were all here and changed the subject. "Mister Orpwood, I didn't just come here to meet with you all. I also need to speak to you about the Southern Boss." "The Southern Boss? Oh, yeah. Howard, you just mentioned that the Southern Boss committed murder and robbery. You didn't finish your story, though. What exactly happened?" Mister Orpwood turned to
"Yeah, you are right! I'm going to release an order for arrest and arrange for people to track him down right now!" Mister Orpwood said. There were often procedures needed for the Dragon Corps to issue orders for arrest or add names to the criminal list. Though the Southern Boss worked with criminals before, the crimes he committed were not as severe as the people on the criminal list. At the very least, he did not do anything out of line when he was still the ruler of the underground community in the southern region. When he did something bad, he did his best to stay behind the scenes and avoid getting overly involved. Hence, he kept trying to convince criminals to go after Leon but did not go after Leon until much later. Because of that, only the Dragon Corps in the southern region issued an order for arrest targeting the Southern Boss, and the Dragon Corps in the central region did not add the Southern Boss to the criminal list. Though the Southern Boss was not include
"Well, that's right!" Mister Orpwood frowned and saw reasons in Leon's words. After a moment of contemplation, he asked, "Mister Wolf, what do you think about this?" "I have a way. The underground community is a great place to hide and the Southern Boss knows his way around it. If I'm not mistaken, that's probably where he's hiding here in the western region." He paused and added, "The Western Boss is the ruler in the underground community here and if that's really where the Southern Boss is hiding, I'm sure the Western Boss probably knows something about it," "That's right! I suspect the Western Boss as well. He is probably involved!" Mister Orpwood came to a realizationHe sent a few batches of Dragon Guards to search for the Southern Boss, but they all returned without finding anything. At first, Mister Orpwood thought that Alfred was perhaps mistaken and the Southern Boss did not flee to the western region. However, Leon already confirmed that the Southern Boss was located
