"Well, there is one! The law specifies that if you make certain contributions to the country, the Dragon Corps can spare you from punishments," Master Haslewood said thoughtfully.

"Contributions, huh?" Leon came up with an idea, "and if I have someone precious to offer, does that count as a contribution to the country?"

"I suppose so." Master Haslewood nodded.

"Great!" Leon beamed.

The one thing he had in abundance was treasures such as the Medical Codex and all the training methods he inherited from his ancestors, and he could simply offer to hand any one of these over to the country.
