Chapter 83
Hi, good day readers! I hope you're all doing great. I apologize for the mix-ups in the last chapter. I was unable to edit it, so I would be dropping this here today Chapter 63. Diana's POV. Susan was really a good cook, no doubt. We were all gathered at the little dining table that was in the dining area. I watched as Luke took a bite of the food that I had prepared. I didn't know if it was up to their taste, honestly. I helped Susan in preparing some of the dishes. I was about to go to the cliff yesterday, but I got stopped by Luke. I changed my mind that moment, and immediately he left the way for me to go to the cliff. He knew that I didn't know anything about this place, and what if my killers were still planning to kill me? "How does it taste?" I looked at Luke just to get a response from him. If I really want to leave this place, I would have to be friendly with them and gain their trust. That is going to take a lot of time, but what matters is my leaving this place. "It tastes normal." He stated it bluntly as he kept on eating the food. "Do you live here?" I questioned him, wanting to start a conversation with him. "No! Why are you asking?" He asked while I took a bite of my goof before I replied to him. "I just want to know if you are going to be here every day." I shrugged my arms. Why did he look so mad at me for asking him questions? "So you can escape?" He stated this, making me chuckle slightly. "If I had wanted to leave, I would have done that yesterday." I rolled my eyes while I kept on digging into the food. "You also know that if you refuse to let me go, that is known as kidnapping." I smiled softly, and he banged his cutlery on the dining table. Her bad anger issues needed to be taken care of. "I lose my appetite." He stood up from the dining chair, moving it backwards with his legs, and then walked out of us, leaving his food on the table. "He gets angry quickly." His mother interrupted my thoughts as I watched him walk away. "I could see that already. I wondered how You get to cope with him." I clicked my tongue, and then I stood up from the chair that I was sitting on. I followed him out of the building. I didn't see him in sight. Where could he have gotten a gown that quick? I looked forward and then saw him walking away. This would be an opportunity for me to get to know more about this place. I ran so fast that I kept on with him at my front. "Where do you think you are going? Why are you following me?" He fired immediately when he saw me by his side. I was still feeling suffocated while I tried to catch my breath from the little run that I did. "You didn't have to be that cold." I rolled my eyes at him, and he continued walking while I followed him slowly. I wondered what was so important to him, and the only way that he could get it was to take revenge on me. "The reason why I asked you about leaving this place was because anything could happen to your mother and me, and there is no one that would be able to protect us." I lied. "You don't expect me to believe that bullshit." "Wait! Who broke you to this extent? Why are we like this? The person must have done a lot of damage." He chuckled slightly. "No one made me like this. You shouldn't trust human beings that easily; they could turn their back on you at the last second." He mentioned. "Yeah exactly. You shouldn't get to trust me since you don't know what I could do to you at the last minute." He smiled genuinely. That was the first time that I would see.He has been smiling that way ever since he came back home yesterday. "I bet that you don't trust me either." He stated. "You don't trust me; why do you expect me to do the same to you? You kept me in your house, not even helping me to find who I am. Do you really expect me to trust you?" "Who told you that I was not going to find out who you really are?" He stopped walking while he looked back into my eyes. "Why can't you do it now? What is stopping you from doing that?" I stopped walking while I also faced him. "I am waiting for the right time for me to be able to do that. You killer might still be out there." He brought up an excuse, saying that just as usual, they would keep on using that excuse again and again. Was that the same reason he wanted me to lose all my memory? I didn't bring up the matter. "At this rate, one might think that you know my real identity. What if I tried to commit suicide while I was still alive? You can't base everything on those shows trying to murder me." I had to counter his point. "Let's change the topic." He turned back and kept on walking. I followed him at his back and watched how peaceful the countryside was. Would the city be quiet just like this? I wish I could remember my memory. Even if I went to the city and didn't get to remember my memory, how would I be able to find my way back home? "I love morning walks." I took in a deep breath as the cool breeze hit me from every side. "Who doesn't?" Luke inquired. "I'm pretty sure if the sun is shining and hot very early in the morning, I am definitely not going to like it." I answered him. Now, we are having a normal conversation. "The doctor will come and check up on you in the next few days." He stated. "Do you think he would be able to help me regain my memories?" I questioned him with a soft smile on my face. I don't think the doctor would be able to check up on me today since I would be following Luke in his trunk back to the city this evening. "He would just check up on you. That would be left for the doctor to decide." He mentioned making me sigh. If they knew the doctor was going to help me regain my memories, they would never bring him to me after spiking my drink with memory-eraser medicine. ******* It was in the evening already, and I already planned how I was going to escape. I just blasted ginger into the truck before he got to figure it out. "When is your son going to leave?" I questioned Susan as I helped her in the kitchen. I was helping her cut the vegetables. "He will be leaving in the next few minutes. He will not be able to eat dinner since he has a lot of things to attend to in the city." She mentioned it to me, making me nod my head in approval. After a few minutes of waiting, I was done with cutting the vegetables, and I told her that I was really fast with it. This would be a chance for me to see what the city looked like. I might perhaps find my real identity.Chapter 84 Kian's POV. My eyes opened slowly with a blurry sight. I sat up with my head banging so hard. I remembered that I drank so much last night. "What the hell!?" I noticed that I was naked while I tried to remember what happened last night, but I just couldn't remember anything. It felt like some part of my memory was missing already. I looked at the bed, and it turned out that my bed sheets were changed already. Who the hell changed them? I wore my trousers, which were on the floor with my shirt, as I stormed out of my room. The smell of the food hit my nose as I salivated. What was she cooking this morning? I walked down the stairs as I saw her arrange the food on the dining table. I walked towards the dining table. "Good morning." I called for Elena's attention as she looked at me and then smiled. One could easily tell that was a fake smile. Her eyes were baggy, and I could see the dark circles. It looked like she was crying before I got here. "You got drun
Chapter 85Diana's POV.I took in a huge sigh immediately the car started moving. I managed to get into the truck of his car before he drove off. I would finally be going to the city, and I was more than happy. The car kept on moving for so long, and after a while, it stopped moving. "Have you gotten to our destination? Was it supposed to be that fast?" I questioned myself.I suddenly felt the truck opening.Oh shit! He caught me already. How did he get to know? I used my hand to post the truck upwards as I struggled to come down from it. Standing in front of me was Luke. "What are you doing in there? How did you even get to enter there?" He questioned me while I took in a huge sigh."I just entered!" I fired back at him. Sigh my hand and don my waist."Get into the car." He instructed me."Wait! Where are we going to? Where do you want to take me?" I kept on repeating my questions as he walked away back to the driver's seat."I just want to take a look at what the city looks like! T
Chapter 86 Harper's POV. I adjusted my face cap well as I walked back across the shopping mall with Richardson behind me. "What do you think you are doing? I told you that it would be better if someone would be able to go get these things. I thought you were the fearless kind of person." Richardson mocked me as he walked behind me. "I'm a murderer. You don't expect me to get caught just because I came to buy something." I rolled my eyes. "We have to be careful now since my brother knows that I am not dead." Richardson stated. I wondered how it was so easy for Ryan to figure out that his brother was still alive after all the evidence that we kept. "Do you think someone saw us when we pushed her off the cliff?" I've been thinking about it, and I hoped that I was not right. "We are on the run already, even before we killed her. If they get to figure out that we were the ones who killed her, it wouldn't make any difference." He replied me. I turned my head downwards after
Chapter 87Luke's POV.I watched as Diana picked some clothes from the mall as she admired them all. She squealed in happiness after wearing some of the dresses. She looked so pretty in them. She raised the dress at me, and then I nodded my head since it looked so good on her."Miriam." I called her name as she looked back at me. The fact that she was adopting this life. She didn't even know that her real name was Diana. There was no way I would tell her also. "I bumped into someone earlier. The way she looked at me felt like she knew me from somewhere. Everything about her felt oddly familiar also." Diana muttered to me.This was the reason why I didn't want to take her out. I didn't want her to be recognized by someone. That was what I feared the most."Just get what you want to take, and let's get out of this place. What was the person who tried to kill you? What if your enemies find out that you are alive?" I had to mention this to her again.I couldn't count how many times I wou
Chapter 88 Elena's POV. I stared at the beautiful dress that was placed at my front. I was finally getting married, but it wasn't the kind of one I had wished for. I never imagined I was going to get married without my friend by my side. I have always imagined that she would be my chief bride's maid. I've always imagined my marriage was going to be the talk of the town, but it turned out to be the opposite. I was starting to love Kian and he seemed he doesn't about it. He dis Virgin me also, and it seemed like he already forgot about it. I was glad he didn't remember so he wouldn't feel guilty for it. "You look so beautiful in the dress." Kian sister complimented me, making me smile, even though the smile wasn't a genuine one. "Are you sure you are okay? One can easily tell that something is wrong with you." Kian's younger sister mentioned. "You can let me know whatever you are doing through. I would make sure to do my best to make you happy." Lucy mentioned trying to make me
Chapter 89Elena's POVI slowly opened my eyes; the bright fluorescent lights above me were really blurry, as it hurt my sight.I winced, trying to remember where I was and what had happened. A faint beeping noise echoed in the background, and I realized that I was in the hospital.I saw a nurse who was standing right at my side. "Welcome back, miss. I would go and get the doctor now." The nurse greeted me after she realized that I was awake.I tried to speak, but my dry throat cracked, and only a whisper escaped. A glass of water appeared in front of me, and I sip it gratefully. The nurse collected the cup and then placed it on the table before she walked out of the room completely. The little argument that happened between Kian and me began to flood in. I didn't know where he was right now, but I bet he must still be in shock after realizing what I did to myself.I rubbed my hand against my head as I manage to sit up. I was at the hospital which I had feared the most.It wasn't my fa
Chapter 90Elena's POV.I stared at the trending news with different headlines. I was the trending topic in the entertainment industry, making me hit my head in disappointment and annoyance. "How did this get out?" I bit my lips in regret. That was one of the perks of being a celebrity. I started going through all the articles that were written about me. "Famous Model Elena has been confirmed sick from anorexia and is currently admitted at the hospital." "Popular models turned out to be unhealthy after setting the standard for most of the young ladies.""Popular model Elena might get to not continue her modeling career after she had been confirmed with an illness and keeping it from her agency." I kept on reading those headlines that were made with different people who didn't even know what I was going through. How did this get out? That means there must have been someone who has been stalking me. That person must have known that I was married. What if the person also got to know t
Chapter 91Diana's POVThis would be the third time I would be coming to the hospital after two weeks. Luke brought me to the hospital since he had no choice but to do so."How badly does it hurt?" The doctor questioned touching my head, like that was going to solve anything."Like my head is being torn apart. It happens most of the time and it has become very frequent these days." I described the kind of pain I have been feeling these days. It was really painful trying to recover my memory loss."What about nightmares? Do you have nightmares?" The doctor furthered questioned."Yes! They are usually blurry. In most of those nightmare, I am always sad." I squinted my best trying to explain to the doctor. He told me that I had a dissociative memory loss which would surely get back but I shouldn't force myself. It happened due to the shock after I had fell from the cliff."The more you see things which are very familiar to you, the more you will get to recover some part of your memory a
