Chapter 2

Mum and Dad did not return home early today which is so unusual of them,my mum is a nurse by profession and she works with one of the famous hospital in the city while my Dad is a cop he also works in the city.I wonder why Dad especially is late tonight because he just finished his night shift yesterday.I was unable to get some sleep because of the nightmare I'm constantly having,so I decided to get a cup of water and watch TV to wile away time till my parent arrive.

It's almost 11pm.I left my room and checked on Dave,Max and John in their room,they sleep together in the same room maybe because they were all boys.I moved close to John and cover him with his blanket.John is the last child and I love him so dearly.I left their room and passed through the hallway that leads to the kitchen but I suddenly stopped when I noticed someone following me,I turned back to confirm but I didn't see anyone.

"Maybe I truly need to visit the psychiatrist hospital".I mumbled as I walked into the kitchen.

I switched on the TV and tuned the channel to the station where they are showing my favorite cartoon.I watched the cartoon for almost thirty minutes and it seems I'm getting bored,I decided to go to my grandfather's room although we've be warned couple of times by my Dad not to enter his room anymore.

My grandfather's room is the last room in the apartment.I walked down the hallway once again to his room,I opened the door and some air escaped his room.I become scared as I stepped into his room.I'm not the type that get scared of things easily but the nightmares I'm having are not helping matters.I checked his box and found his picture lying in the box.I looked at his picture and drop of tears fell on it.

"I miss you granny,I miss you so much".I cried holding his picture so tight to my chest.

I was about to leave his room when I set my eyes on a small box at the corner of his room.I moved close to be sure of what I saw and I discovered it was actually a music box.

"A music box?.I've never seen him with one when he was still alive".I said to myself.

I tried to open it and play the music in it but before I could do that I heard my dad's car entering the compound,I hid the music box in my pocket and quickly ran out of the room into mine pretending I was asleep.

My Dad opened the door to my room and confirmed I was sleeping,he pecked my cheeks and left my room closing the door behind him.I was thinking about playing the music box but my dad will find out if I try to play it.I was lost in thought and I didn't even know when I slept off.

I woke up around 07:30 in the morning to prepare for school as usual,I asked of mum when I saw my dad preparing breakfast and he told me she didn't return home last night.

"She didn't come home last night?.Why?".I asked looking confused.

"She called and informed me she had an emergency last night,so she won't be able to return home".My Dad replied.

Dave,Max and John soon joined us at the dinning.

"You're eating breakfast today Sarah".John said looking surprised.

"Common cut that off and eat your breakfast before it gets cold".I answered him as I scattered his hair.

"Oh....c'mon Sarah".He shouted squeezing his face.

John hates it when people plays or scatters his hair,he went back to their room to comb his hair again but unfortunately  everyone was set to leave before he returned.

"I can't believe I missed breakfast because of you today".John said angrily as he walked pass me to the car.

"I'm sorry John,it won't happen again".I pleaded as I run to join them in the car.

Blake entered the ward of the patient who was rushed into the hospital the previous night was admitted to.She checked his pulse to be sure he's stable.The drip she gave him is still running so changing it won't be necessary.Although Blake's a nurse she can still do the job of a doctor because she has worked with many professional doctors and have gained alot through them.I'm sure that's the main reason why her boss respect and trust her intelligence.

Blake noticed a strange tattoo at the back of the patient's neck while she was treating him and what baffles her is the fact that she has seen the same tattoo at the back of her father's neck before he died.The cause of his death is still unknown to everyone.The tattoo is the inscription of two blood axes crossing each other with a Greek word written beneath it.She can't speak Greek so she was unable understand what was written under the axes.She wanted to snub it but the thought of her father having the same tattoo before he died made her change her mind.She snapped it and decided to get the meaning of it from someone that understand the language.

Blake's boss called her into his office and told her to take a week off so that she can rest and have time for her family also.She refused the offer at first but her boss insisted she take a week off,after thinking about it for a while she decided to accept the offer and spend sometime off work.

She went straight to her office after speaking with her boss to pack her things and head home which she knows her kids will be surprise she returned from work early today.

"One of the humans know we are back".The alien's general said bowing to their king.

"How did he know?".The alien king asked angrily.

"He saw one of ours in the forest".The general answered.

"Then he must be killed before he reveals this to the other humans".The alien king replied waving the alien's general off.The general already knows what to do.

The alien's general selected three out of his soldiers and sent them out of the ship to find the man.

The three aliens jumped from the ship into the thick forest,they instantly transform to humans before walking out of the forest.A car parked right in front of them and the driver asked where they are heading to,one of the aliens told the old man where they are going.

"Oh....Santa Monica!!!?,it's not too far from here.Hop in I'll take you there".The old driver said opening the back seat for the trio.
