But he knew himself very well, he wouldn't be able to stand the sight of them. All his lectures about not killing anyone were just for Kitty. He was already drowned in it, and he didn't want that for her. He needed her to remain pure, decent and innocent-it was one of the many things he loved about her.
When Kitty woke up, he wore a fake smile. On their way home and even when he laid her to rest on the bed. The smile on her face was fake, and he knew better she was just trying to be strong. As much as pains him in his heart, he couldn't wonder what Kitty might do this time. For her protection and also to prevent her from doing anything rash, he placed guards outside her door, also telling them to watch her every moment. If things were to get dirty, he'd prefer it comes from him.
