XAVIER’S POV

When I got inside my car, I quickly slid the key into the ignition and drove away. Luckily, I knew where I was going after I was successfully able to find an apartment before moving out of my father’s house. His mind was made up about getting rid of me, and there was nothing that I could do. And for the first time in years, I felt tears at the corners of my eyes. And as much as I tried to push them away, they just rushed down.

“Not this again.” I took out the little gin bottle that I always had in my car and took a sip. What hurt more was the fact that I left without seeing Lana and didn’t know how to tell her that I was already out of the house and never coming back to it again. She hoped that my father and I were going to make up and never come to the conclusion of me moving out, but now things turned out differently, I didn’t know how to tell her.
