Chapter 49

Jacquard picked up the note and ran out of his office.

He went straight to the office where he left his friend, Danju. Upon getting to the office he met no one. Danju is gone.

He called his name repeatedly. No one answered his call. He walked out of the room to look for him.

He searched every on the floor he was. He kept on calling his name, hoping someone would answer but no one answered him.

He went to the last floor to check if maybe he is inside the Director's office. To his surprise, the director's office is locked with a lock which signifies no one is inside, not even the Director.

At that moment, he felt things are not right. Where is his friend? Where is the Director? Or even if the director was not around who made the bell too?

Different answers popped into my mind. Where can Danju go within a short time? Where? It is impossible for him to leave this building without saying goodbye. It is not even possible for him to leave at this moment.
