While I was working in my office with the door open, because the weather was very hot these days, Kurt knocked and walked in with a letter in his hand. He explained to me that a guard of the Flaming Army had just handed it to him, and that it was the answer of the King of Edios, Hermon Of Knightford. I hastened to read this letter that I had been waiting for a good week. I realized that the future of the Empire was only in a piece of paper, which was in my hands. I delicately opened it by removing what seemed to be the stamp of the royal family and took out the letter.

I received your letter and it aroused my curiosity. I did not know how to react to the announcement that another Empire has existed for nine centuries, without any other nation being able to discover it. Thanks to your explanations, which were detailed enough for me to have several ideas about the history of your Empire, as well as your expectations, I took the initiative of summoning the governors of the other countries, as well as the Ministers of Edios. Obviously, I did not alert my people. As the assemblies progressed, we put forward several points which will be discussed in this letter.  

The first thing that caught my eye when I read your letter was your last name. Thanks to the correspondents you sent, you are not unaware that a big military family of Edios bears this name. I therefore asked the current head of the Kestle family, William Kestle, for information about this certain Thetia Kestle, who is said to have lived on Edios in the middle of the 13th century. According to their archives, she was sentenced to death for royal treason, but she escaped and no one ever saw her again. Thus, the population of the time considered her dead. Nevertheless, you mentioned being a descendant of this young girl. At first, I found it very hard to believe you, until you gave me a solid proof which was validated by Mr. Kestle. The fact that a mere young girl could be capable of such a feat impressed me. In addition, William Kestle showed me something else that troubled him: three old letters from the time of King Harlan VII, all signed by T.K. Apparently, they were addressed to only one member of the Kestle family, Lowis Kestle. The latter, at the time of the events, was on Duaples. He brought them back when he returned to the Kestle Kingdom and hid them in a safe place. No historian was able to prove who was behind these three letters, then your letter appeared and we managed to link your story with the letters. In conclusion, I know that you are not lying about your origins, so you are gradually gaining my trust and that of the government. 

Then what I noted were the commercial, cultural and social opportunities offered by the revelation of your Empire. I don't know if you are aware of this, but I am very attached to the future of youth, so many of my projects revolve around the future of the next generations. You are particularly interested in the possibility that young people from our countries could take part in school exchanges, which I am very interested in. In addition, you should know that these exchanges are already taking place in the Eight Kingdoms and as you mention, they are mandatory for certain studies. Then, the opening of new markets would be very favorable for our businesses and the economy. You could set up branches and we would do the same, thus creating thousands of jobs. Tourism agencies would see new types of clients soliciting them, and this would help you to establish tourist chains in your Empire. I must not forget to mention immigration and emigration. Edios will do its best to welcome the inhabitants of the Empire of Thetia, and I would expect the same from you. Of course, there are many positive points, but we must not put aside the negative sides. 

Thus, I strongly believe that it would be better to organize an assembly, a meeting so that we can meet, and deal with the negative and positive points in depth, because it is impossible for me to address all the points I would like in a simple letter. If it is convenient for you, we will welcome you in Thournebourne, the capital of the Family Kingdom Of Knightford. I will organize a meeting with members of the government, as well as with leaders from other countries.

I was more than delighted after reading this letter. I wish I could leave on Edios and meet King Hermon Of Knightford immediately. The mere fact that he was interested in discussing face to face with me was a sign of hope for Thetia to make a place for itself in the world of the Eight Kingdoms. I hurried to warn all the Ministers to organize an emergency assembly.

After six hours of assembly, each of the Ministers went home, and so did I. Many issues were discussed during the council and we met with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs Clayton Gilbert. During the assembly, I began by reading them the letter from King Hermon Of Knightford and everyone was able to give their opinion. Then Clayton led the assembly for a good two hours. He enumerated the possible future laws, programs and projects that he would put in place in association with the other Ministers, Kings and Queens, Mayors and not forgetting the inhabitants of the Empire. He mentioned in particular the creation of a small travel booklet which would allow the inhabitants to travel wherever they wished. Travelling in the Empire is simple, it was enough for the inhabitants to have their identity card and their residence card. On the latter, the person's place of residence was indicated so that the border guards of each kingdom could verify that the person came from a certain place. Criminals sometimes used fake cards to make it easier to cross borders. 

When Clayton finished, I took over. As I had read before, the King of Edios wanted us to talk one-on-one, so I, a few members of my family and members of the government will have to leave for Edios. I proposed a schedule that I had made just before coming to the Ministers. In addition, I warned the Minister of Foreign Affairs that he would have to come with me, because his role now was to ensure that our countries had good relations and to resolve the potential problems that our countries would encounter. Then my brother Ezekiel, informed me that several soldiers of the Flamboyant Army as well as soldiers of the Army will accompany me to ensure my safety as well as the safety of those who would come with me. I also planned to take my husband, my parents and surely Rila. Since her announcement that she wanted to write a book about Thetia's life on Edios, she had begun her research in the Imperial Archives and in our personal documents, but I saw that she was blocking certain passages. Finally, not knowing how long this political journey would last, I put my brother Ezekiel in the position of Provisional Head of the Empire. He was going to have a lot of tasks to do: on one hand to put an end to the conflict between Goston and Youmor, on the other hand to maintain order even if it was already his job as Minister of the Army and Public Order, but in addition to that, the trips I had planned for associations, interviews and so on. Finally, we all agreed on a departure date: September 1, 2019 and my interview with His Majesty Hermon Of Knightford would take place the next day. Now all I had to do was inform the King.
