Layla's POV:The next week and a half carries on like this between Nicolae and I and the day of the celebration is upon us before we know it. I was nervous and scared as my thoughts raced with all the information I had discovered in the few short hours I was awake but a sense of peace also lingered in my chest that I couldn’t explain. The next morning came quicker than I had intended and Nicolae took some time away from working to escort me to the doctor Amanda had found. Once the initial check up was complete I was rushed into a dark room where the doctor began to measure our baby. They told us it was still too early to detect a heartbeat and suggested that I come back in two weeks time.
