Serana POV.

It was a sight to behold seeing all the dragons welcome Cyra home. These are her people too, more so now. It hurts my heart that there are no other phoenix’s. I still don’t know all my heritage or traditions. I will have to remember to find out all I can about my people, even if I am the last full phoenix. At least my kids will know of the heritage they share with me.

I shift back from Bedelia as Joel hands me more clothes. I chuckle at him. His eyes are wide being surrounded by so many dragons. These creatures are larger than life in more ways than one.

“You ok?” He asks me as we both watch all the dragons circle Ember as she stands beside Jaka. I’m not worried, as from what I have found out about dragons, is that they are inquisitive creatures and deeply protective of their families. I watch them as they move closer to her and sniff her, memorising her scent and she does the same. I smile softly at this. She will be ok here if she comes back.
